Seroprevalence of Toxoplasma gondii and Neospora spp. in equids from three municipalities in Pará, Brazil
This study presents a survey of the seroprevalence of Toxoplasma gondii and Neospora spp. in equids in three municipalities in Pará, a Brazilian state with the Amazonian rainforest and the Amazon River as dominating features. Toxoplasma gondii and Neospora spp. are two closely related parasitic protozoans not separated as different genera until 1988. Neospora spp.

Det finns många olika motiv för företag att sponsra kultur men kulturinstitutioner har dåligt utvecklade erbjudandestrategier för att framhäva hur företag gagnas av samarbetet. Mellanhänder med nisch mot kultursponsring kan etableras för att marknadsföra kulturinstitutioner mot potentiella sponsorer. En ändrad lagstiftning tycks öka intresset för företag att sponsra kultur. För att maximera nyttan av sponsringssamarbetet krävs en utvecklad sponsringsrelation som är ömsesidigt värdeskapande och där parterna uppfyller alla nivåer av kunskapsutbyte. Relationerna inom kultursponsring påverkas mer av kulturinstitutioners storlek än av företags..
Attityd till och användande av ny teknik : Med Near Field Communication som exempel
Utgångspunkten för denna uppsats är en förstudie om den trådlösa tekniken Near Field Communication (NFC), som vi författare genomförde via en enkät. Några av svaren på enkäten som berörde ämnet riskbeteende fick oss att undra varför respondenter svarade som de gjorde på vissa frågor, då detta kunde innebära att de tog en risk med personlig information. Detta ledde till att vi ville ta reda på varför och till vilken gräns personer är villiga att ta risker med ny teknik, men även vilka variabler som spelar in i deras beslut att använda eller inte använda ny teknik. Vårt tillvägagångssätt är en litteraturstudie för att förstå vad som menas med användbarhet, riskbeteende och pålitlighet samt hur dessa hänger ihop. Efter att vi bildat oss en uppfattning om dessa och fördjupat oss lite mer inom ämnena, så genomförde vi intervjuer för att se hur den information vi forskat fram förhöll sig till våra respondenter.
Pratbubblan: den röda tråden : En studie av Karlstads Stadsnäts visuella kommunikation
The purpose of this study is to investigate whether Karlstad City Fiber Network visual elements in the form of a pair of speech bubbles fit into the organization's holistic external communication and branding. The study examines whether Karlstad City Fiber Network image of the organization and the speech bubbles match the stakeholders view and how the visual elements are perceived and recognized by stakeholders. The theory associated with the study is theories of corporate visual identity, image, identity and branding and visual communication. These three elements are important to be aware of when a generation of an effective external communications. Qualitative interviews with employees at Karlstad City Fiber Network and Karlstad municipality has undertaken to give an idea of ??what the organization wants to achieve and what their opinions are.
Teknologi och spel i geografiundervisningen : Pedagogiska verktyg eller enbart lek?
Ordet spel och dess betydelse är svårt att beskriva. Spel har många definitioner och studien kommer därför att använda ordet spel för att beskriva applikationer, datorspel, hemsidor och geografiska verktyg. Jag är uppmärksammad på att det finns stora skillnader mellan datorspel och exempelvis Google Earth och har inte som avsikt att klassificera dessa som samma. Dock kommer samtliga att beskrivas som spel eller teknologi, främst för att det underlättar läsningen. Idag använder allt fler personer dator och Internet.
Hästtjejer - en studie om stallet som identitetsutvecklande arena.
Ridning är Sveriges näst största sport, bara fotbollen är större. För många tjejer är stallet mer än en plats där själva sporten utövas. Stallet blir till en slags fritidsgård där nästan all ledig tid spenderas, även om själva ridaktiviteten ibland utförs endast en gång per vecka. Vad stallvistelsen betyder för tjejernas identitetsutveckling vet vi inte särskilt mycket om. Syftet med undersökningen är att ta reda på hur tiden i stallet påverkar tjejerna i deras identitetsutveckling.Studien genomfördes med en kvalitativ metod.
Måste jag tävla på idrotten i skolan?
Syfte och frågeställningI hur stor utsträckning används tävlingspraktiken i Idrott och Hälsa, och hur påverkar detta ämnets karaktär?Jag ska i min undersökning försöka se hur elever i skolan upplever tävlingar under idrotten i skolan. Jag kommer att använda mig av Lars-Magnus Engströms (2002) teori om idrottens praktiker och logiker, vilka redogörs närmare för under punkten Teoretiskt perspektiv. Jag vill finna de känslor och tankar som uppstår då eleverna försätts i den s.k. tävlingspraktiken, där aktiviteten i sig handlar om jämförande.
Papperslösa barns rättigheter
This case study examines how upper secondary schools in a municipality in the northern parts of Sweden structure their special pedagogy with students who have ADHD and dyslexia, students? and parents? experiences of this, and what regulates the schools management in this particular aspect. The results show that all the schools have special pedagogues and other support staff employed, though in varied extent. Furthermore, the resources are distributed differently from school to school. The focus, however, is always around communication between the concerned parties.
Sjuksköterskors kommunikation med patienter som vårdas i respirator : Nurses? communication with patients during mechanical ventilation
Aim: The aim of this study was to describe intensive care nurses? experiences communicating with patients during mechanical ventilation.Methods/design: A qualitative interview study. Interviews where analyzed using descriptive content analysisSetting: Nine intensive care nurses from two different intensive care units were interviewed using a semi structured interview guide.Background: Past research has shown that patients during mechanical ventilation in the intensive care unit, feel very vulnerable and the helplessness of being unable to speak. These patients feels that they are completely dependent on the nurses and their competence. It has been shown to be very important that the patient feels included, acknowledged and respected.Results: The analyzed data resulted in a theme; through communication strive to preserve patients´ dignity and three main categories; create relationship to the patient, minimize patients´ vulnerability and don´t give up.
"Heja Sverige! Heia Norge!" : En kritisk diskursanalys av nationalism inom svensk och norsk sportjournalistik med fokus på bevakningen av Skid-VM i Falun 2015
The purpose of this essay, entitled ?Heja Sverige! Heia Norge?, was to study the difference in nationalistic tendencies between Swedish and Norwegian news coverage of the 2015 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun, Sweden, which took place between 18 February and 1 March 2015. It was the fourth time the event took place in Falun, previous games having been held in 1954, 1974 and 1993.I performed a critical discourse analysis of a total of twelve articles split over two race days ? one where Swedish athletes outperformed Norwegian athletes and vice versa. I did this order to study if the news coverage in each of the two countries? most promininent sports papers; Sportbladet in Sweden and VG Sport in Norway, was charaterized by a nationalistic discourse, as well as comparing the two to find similarities and differences between them.Having based my analysis on theories and previous research regarding media events, nationalism, national identities, ?us and them?, imagined communities et cetera, I came to the conclusion that a nationalistic discourse is, without a doubt, present in the news coverage ? something very unique for sports journalism as a genre.

The Internet has become a communication system that includes a direct and personal communication as well as traditional mass communication. For example, the Internet has become a channel for self-publishing. It provides opportunities for discussion and blogs can be woven together into a dialogue between network users. The conversation is both personalised and addressed to the wider community. Our study is based on how fashion bloggers perceive their role as a fashion blogger, and how young women, 18 to 30 years old, in Sundsvall, perceive fashion blogs.We chose to conduct qualitative research and held qualitative interviews and focus groups. Since fashion blogs are a relatively new phenomenon, we chose to do interviews with the active fashion bloggers, Nina Johansson and Karolina Skande, to use them as informants.

AbstractThis work is a pilot study intended to show what an experienced teacher of Swedish in first grade teaches and how she teaches. A further aim is to test methods for the analysis of Aristotle?s forms of knowledge in order to elucidate the teaching of reading and writing. As regards theory, the study proceeds from rhetoric and its doctrine of forms of knowledge according to which the whole in communication consists of episteme, techne and phronesis. The methods involve analysing the content of the communication and analysing speech acts, rhetorical figures and paralinguistic expressions.

The highest availability to the user comment feature was found in news themes covering sports and entertainment, followed by financial news. News stories lacking the user comment feature weremainly found in news themes concerning crimes and accidents. The user comment frequencies are not normally distributed along news stories. On the contrary, 62 percent of the news stories did not get any user comments at all.

The purpose of this thesis is to study how Malaysia Airlines communicated during the two largest crises of 2014. Key questions to be answered are: Did organizational hypocrisy occur? If yes, in what way? Which communication strategies were used? Did the company mediate an unequivocal message and how was the information framed? Did any aggravating factors, which worsened the organization?s reputation, appear? How did Malaysia Airlines manage possible rumours? Was the word contact used as a keyword? The method of choice is a quantitative content analysis and the material consists of 20 different analysis units. These analysis units were collected from social media and Malaysia Airlines website.
