The foundation for this thesis lies in whether or not, and how, the body representation in printed commercials, specific products directed to the body (shampoo, body lotion etc.), has changed during the last fifty years. Four years have been chosen because of the changes in society that we believe might have had an impact. The commercials that have been picked out are the ones that best represent the general view of the body. We have found that the changes when it comes to body presentation has followed the social development to a certain degree, but it is difficult to say how much the society has had an affect on the body ideal in advertising. Representations of the male body is something that has escalated since the early 70?s, fifteen years earlier few commercials was made with male models, and the few there were, never showed more than the face.

Health and physical exercise has a become trend in today's society and the work with health promotion has increased in organizations. This is not only a way for organizations to get healthier and more efficient employees, but also a way to regulate the employee?s identity by getting them to identify with the organization. This bachelor essay studies how health promotion can be used as a management strategy. This is done by interviews and by performed observations at the recruitment company, Adecco, in the Stockholm region.

I denna rapport beskrivs det arbete och de analyser som lett fram till ett designförslag på en dykväst anpassad till en kvinnlig användare. Konceptet har utvecklats på företaget Mares (HTM Sport S.p.A) i Rapallo och ska användas för vidare utveckling och detaljkonstruktion av den dykväst anpassad för kvinnor som företaget planerar att introducera på marknaden 2006. Problematik som kvinnans ergonomi och biometri, trender inom sporten och livsstilstrender generellt har analyserats för att uppnå bästa möjliga resultat. Arbetet har genomförts med hjälp av metoden systematisk problemanalys. Den nya produkten tillfredsställer inte bara den kvinnliga användarens behov av passform före, under och efter dyket, utan är också användaranpassad genom val av material och färger.

The goal of this qualitative essay is to approach the knowledge of people who commit crimes. From a development psychology point of view, questions relating to childhood ang growth are some of the important subjects we choose to discuss. Our purpose is also to reveal the linkage between criminal behavior and different theories of the above mentioned perspective. To bridge the gap between the general and the individual, our survey was based on profound interviews with four inmates in prison. This offer an opportunity to capture the individual´s inner thoughts, feelings and experience about the criminal action.

Statistics regarding children, who are overweight, shows alarming results in many parts of the world. Overweight may cause serious consequences, as for instance heart- and vascular diseases. Research is pointing out that hereditary, social, behavioural and cultural facts may promote developing overweight and it is of great importance to find out how to prevent overweight and obesity in children and adolescents. The purpose of the literature study was to compile primary and secondary preventions against overweight/obesity in children and adolescents. The result showed that prevention through education, recommendations, healthy eating and exercise may be usable in the work to prevent overweight among children and adolescents.

Collective collapse occurs when a majority of players in a team suddenly perform below expected level in a match of great, often decisive, importance in spite of a normal or good start of the match or when a team underperforms right from the start of the match. The aim of this study is to investigate collective collapse, focusing on emotional contagion. The study is a qualitative study based on semistructured interviews with nine handball players in an elite team. The results show six factors presented as themes. These are Preparations, The coach and leadership, Emotional contagion, Communication, Role Acceptance and Incongurence.

Bakgrund: Förstoppning är ett av de vanligaste symtomen från mag- och tarmkanalen och att drabbas av förstoppning kan vara en hemsk upplevelse. Tillståndet påverkar personen både fysiskt, mental, socialt och existentiellt, vilket leder till försämrad livskvalité. Syfte: Att beskriva vilka icke-farmakologiska åtgärder som finns för att förebygga förstoppning hos äldre personer över 65 år. Metod: Studien genomfördes som en allmän litteraturstudie där vetenskapliga artiklar söktes i databaser på Internet och manuellt i referenslistor. Åtta vetenskapliga artiklar inkluderades i studien och dessa analyserades och utformades till ett resultat.

Benign Childhood Epilepsy with Centrotemporal Spikes - BCECTS is a common neurological syndrome but the possible cognitive effects are still relatively unknown. In the study 12 children with the diagnose BCECTS, 9 boys and 3 girls between the ages of 5,5 and 13,5 years, were examined. An extensive battery of neuropsychological tests were administered. The results indicates normal cognitive functioning as compared to the normal population, with one exception; an aspect of attention. But the results also indicate several negatively effected performances when compared to the cognitive g-factor of each child.

En ny spelgenre har ökat i popularitet de senaste fem åren. En spelgenre som faller utanför den klassiska definitionen av spel. En spelgenre vid namn ?Idle Games?. Föreliggande studie handlar om vilka element i dessa spel som får spelaren att fortsätta spela och hur elementen kan analyseras med hjälp av MDA och AARRR ramverken.

Denna studie utgörs av ett explorativt experiment. Det som har legat i fokus för denna studie har varit att mäta attityd gentemot varumärkes produkter. Eftersom det har skett genom experiment har det centrala varit att se hur attityden påverkas. Studien använder sig av vissa teorier kring varumärken som råd och tips i upplägget av experimentet. En av hypoteserna som ställdes i studien var att positiv beskrivning av varumärkes produkter ger högre utfall i värderandet och viljan att äga produkten än neutral beskrivning.

Syftet med undersökningen är att ta reda på om och hur barn påverkas om föräldrarna arbetar mycket och stressar. Frågeställning är hur påverkas barnens välmående då föräldrarna upplevs stressade och aldrig har tid. Hypotesen är att det finns ett samband mellan att barn mår psykiskt dåligt och att föräldrarna stressar, arbetar mycket och sällan har tid. Undersökningen är gjord i två sexor där föräldrarna fick svara på enkäter och barnen intervjuades. Korrelationer och t-test användes för att visa att både föräldrar och barn tycker att vardagssituationen kan kännas stressad.

During adolescence the teenager tries to become an independent individual, something that for many individuals can be experienced as"a hard time". In early childhood the individual was closely connected to the parents, but during adolescence friends and new contacts become more important. Studies in developmental psychology have most often adopted a parent-perspective, which is why a child-perspective is required. The aim of this study is therefore to measure the teenager's relationship with parents and friends and to look for possible correlations between these. As a means of measuring quality in the relationships, the IPPA, the Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment, was used.

Människans behov av fysisk aktivitet är lika stort idag som det alltid varit. Dock har människans genomsnittliga energiförbrukning minskat avsevärt i och med det mer moderna samhället. Enligt Fyss, (2008) är den åtgärd som skulle ha störst positiv effekt på folkhälsan ökad fysisk aktivitet. Fysisk aktivitet har visat sig ha positiva effekter på människors välmående, dock är verkningsmekanismerna okända. Idag använder samtliga landsting i Sverige sig av fysisk aktivitet som behandlingsform för olika sjukdomar.

Wicca är en ny naturreligion som skapades på 50-talet av en man vid namn Gerald B. Gardner. Gardner hämtade inspiration av många vänner, som till exempel Aleister Crowley som var en viktig del inom satanismen. Allt sedan Gardner skapat wicca har den utvecklats och idag är den väldigt stor i både England och USA, och den håller på att växa sig stor i resten av världen också. Inom wicca finns det två lagar, ?the wiccan rede? och trefaldslagen, dessa är de enda lagarna och följer vi dem kan vi leva ett bra liv.

This qualitative studie discusses how psychologists can integrate clients' secular or religious philosophies into counseling and psychotherapy, as themes that are psychologically meaningful. The studie also discusses how psychologists can understand and respond to the psychological aspects of clients' existential and religious experiences. Eight psychologists were interviewed and their experiences were analysed using a phenomenological method.The results of the interviews suggested that the eight psychologists could handle the psychological aspects of clients' philosophies, by investigating their own personal philosophies and scientific ontologies. It was also discussed how an awareness of the psychologists' professional boundaries and personal experiences of existential and religious phenomenons, could facilitate an integration of clients' existential and religious experiences..
