The purpose of this essay is to examine how four Swedish retail companies describe their information management in connection to ethical trade. My purpose is also to examine how this information management relates to organizational learning. My questions at issue are ? ?Which activities related to information management in connection to ethical trade is described by the companies?? and ?How can these activities and statements be related to organizational learning?? My method of investigation is to perform qualitative interviews with representatives from the retail companies and relate the results to theories on information management and organizational learning, mainly theories of double-loop- and single-loop learning. The information management literature address issues such as information needs, information sources and information seeking.

We conducted 10 semi-structured interviews with first line managers in Swedish public healthcare organizations. A result is reached by a thematically constructed analysis were citations are presented and analyzed. Result & Conclusions: The study shows through the model that has been used that first line managers are highly affected by administrative tasks that can be linked to New Public Management. The participant managers see these related tasks as important for the organizations and natural in their profession. Contribution of the thesis: The study contributes with an increased understanding of the managing of first line managers and how it is affected by New Public Management related administration through a perspective that is lacking in previous research. Effekter av samhällets säkerhetsarbete (ESS) är ett femårigt projekt som finansieras av myndigheten för samhällsskydd och beredskap. Denna rapport är en delstudie inom ESS och behandlar frågeställningar inom delområdet deponiolyckor med fokus avseende brand.Arbetets mål är att redovisa vilka förutsättningar och förhållanden som är vanliga före, under samt efter bränder på deponier, att identifiera svaga länkar och förbättringspotentialer i det förebyggande brandskyddsarbetet, samt att lämna förslag till förbättringar inom området.För att kunna nå upp till målen har författarna genomfört litteraturstudier och tre fallstudier, i form av platsbesök och intervjuer, av deponianläggningar som har varit drabbade av brand. Vid urvalsprocessen av vilka anläggningar som skulle studeras ställdes två kriterier upp. Dessa var att branden inte var äldre än två år och att omfattningen varit betydande. Efter urvalsprocessen fastslogs att fallstudier skulle ske på Storskogens avfallsanläggning i Oskarshamn, Heljestorp avfallsanläggning i Vänersborg och Häringetorp avfallsanläggning i Växjö.De slutsatser som har dragits är att bränder på deponianläggningar är något som sker relativt ofta i Sverige idag och dessa leder till att en mängd miljö- och hälsoskadliga ämnen bildas.Nivån på det skadeförebyggande och skadebegränsande arbetet med avseende på brand skiljer sig åt mellan de tre studerade anläggningarna.

Theoretical perspectives: Theories concerning knowledge management and research and development have primarily been used. These have been complemented with material about team structures and incentive systems. As the most popular activity on the world's largest social media channels is to upload and share photos, it has become crucial for advertisers to define strategies that maximize the reach of photo posts. Two observed variations of images used in posts are graphical images and digital photographs. Most descriptions of stereotypic behaviours have in common that these repetitive behaviours only has been observed in captive animals and therefore it has been proposed that stereotypies exist because we house animals in environments that are sub-optimal to them. Some scientists claim that performance of stereotypies in itself decreases the animal's welfare due to costs in time, energy and health and a poorer quality of life. Other scientists assert that individuals performing stereotypies may have a better welfare compared to the rest of the animals in the same environment, since these individuals have developed strategies to cope with stress. Studies have estimated the prevalence of abnormal behaviours in horses to 18-30 % of the population. Several studies on cribbing have revealed a prevalence of 4-5 %, although some results indicate that more than 10 % of the horse population performs this stereotypy.

The implementation of a material requirements planning system is a complex and demanding task. There has been much research into what factors are important in such implementations, but seemingly very little about the links between critical success factors and management control systems. This thesis attempts, through a case study, to answer the question of how management control systems affect the implementation of an MRP system in ASSA AB, a Swedish manufacturing firm. Data is primarily collected through interviews. Theory regarding implementation success definitions, critical success factors as well as management control systems is presented.

Vår hypotes om att Australien befinner sig i svensk medieskugga kom till under hösten då vi på C-kursen i journalistik gjorde en ministudie av länders förekomst i olika tidningar, och Australien/Oceanien hamnade på sista plats i den undersökningen. Med denna uppsats har vår avsikt varit att göra en mer omfattande undersökning för att ta reda på vad som kännetecknar bevakningen av Australien i viktiga svenska medier. För att få reda på hur mycket det rapporteras om Australien i ett urval av svenska medier har vi gjort en kvantitativ undersökning som inkluderar Dagens Nyheter (DN), Ekot och Rapport. Vi gjorde även en kvalitativ innehållsanalys av DN och engelska The Times för att jämföra och se vilka ämnen med anknytning till Australien som förkommer i de båda tidningarna.Resultaten av den kvantitativa och kvalitativa analysen visar att bevakningen av Australien i de undersökta svenska medierna är liten och tenderar att vara trivial. De tre största ämnena visade sig vara sport, naturkatastrofer och djur.

Syftet med denna undersökning var att studera eventuella skillnader i upplevd motivation och självförtroende mellan fotbollslandslagsspelande och icke fotbollslandslagsspelande ungdomar i åldern 14-19. Dessutom studerades eventuella skillnader mellan pojkarna och flickorna inom samma område. Total deltog 471 fotbollsspelande ungdomar varav 282 spelade i landslagen och 189 inte spelade i landslagen, 270 pojkar och 201 flickor. Spelarna fyllde vid ett tillfälle i enkäterna Grit scale, Sport Motivation Scale (SMS), The self-determination scale och Sport Confidence Inventory. Resultaten visade att det fanns skillnader mellan de landslagsspelande och icke landslagsspelande ungdomar inom variablerna upplevd motivation och upplevt självförtroende.
