The purpose of this study is to analyze how special education is done in relation to what is considered "normal". The aim is to discuss how the normalization discourse appears in a pre-school for all and, by extension, how the need of special education is articulated in relation to the normalization discourse. This study also intends to discuss how the perception of what is normal affects special education in pre-schools. The study draws upon previous research within the special education area through which we make our position. Since there is only a few studies in this chosen field which are based on empirical data, our study indicates the importance of more research in this field.

AbstractThis study examines the use of dance in the special education classes in high school. The purpose is to study the teachers? thoughts about dance within this school form. I want to see if they see any gains from having dance as a subject, and what might these be? Earlier research states that dance has a positive influence on mentally handicapped children and young people, and that it strengthens their general development.

The aim of this study was to, from a special educational approach, describe and analyse nine teachers and headmasters experiences and perceptions of the use of laptos, ?1-1?, as a tool for working with 13-16 year old pupils born outside of Sweden and with special educational needs (SEN). Interviews were used for data collection. The interview material was analysed with the phenomenografic analysis method and with meaning condensation method. The result was analysed through three perspectives on special education and the concept of inclusion as the study?s frame of reference.

In this essay I consider a self-experienced dilemma, and review how I, as a preschool teacher, treat a child with special needs. With the support of literature and theory, I can, with an essay writing approach, reflect and analyze the dilemma. In this way I will examine my practical knowledge and personal experiences of a complex situation. I want to examine whether children with special needs who are included in regular preschool activities, really get the support they need and deserve. Do educators have the conditions and does preschool have sufficient resources to realize this? Do educators have sufficient knowledge of how children with special needs should be responded to? I want to find out how the included children's social development and self-image is shaped by the treatment they receive at the preschool.

Syftet med mitt examensarbete är att få förståelse för John Deweys pedagogik och dess nutida betydelse i relation till en grupp lärares uppfattning om pedagogik, undervisning och demokrati. Syftet är också att utröna huruvida yrkeslärare och ämneslärare skiljer sig åt i dessa av-seenden. För att uppnå mitt syfte har jag valt att göra en kvalitativ studie. Jag har då använt mig av enkäter med ett antal frågeställningar och har även genomfört några intervjuer. Resultatet visar vissa skillnader mellan de olika lärarkategorierna vad gäller sättet att undervisa.

Den lilla gruppen, stödundervisning, eller vad man nu kallar den är ett arbetssätt som en del skolor arbetar med för att ge barn i behov av extrastöd en lämplig form av undervisning. Den lilla gruppen bildas genom att elever från olika klasser samlas i ett särskilt undervisningsrum tillsammans med en lärare/pedagog/specialpedagog. Vilka är då de elever som placeras i den lilla gruppen och är dessa hjälpta av denna undervisningsform? I den undersökning jag genomförde genom intervjuer, fanns det två grupper av elever med svårigheter. Den ena gruppen bestod av elever med invandrarbakgrund och gick i liten grupp för att få svenskundervisning.

Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka programmet Pedagogik med inriktning ungdoms ? och missbruksvårds påverkan på studenters subjektiva beteende gentemot personer med missbruksproblematik. Som metod i denna kvantitativa uppsats användes frågeformulär för insamling av data. Respondenterna var utexaminerade behandlingspedagoger samt förstaårsstudenter vid programmet pedagogik med inriktning ungdoms- och missbruksvårds. Resultatet pekade på en påverkan av attityder, sociala normer samt tron på den egna förmågan, vilka tillsammans utgjorde grunden till beteende, bland majoriteten av de utexaminerade studenterna.

The aim of the study was from preschool teachers perspective to describe, analyz and understand how teachers in preschool works with children in special needs in image and drama. I have done eights interviews with preschool teachers. From a theoretical base, i use the Nilholms perspectives. I have also Antonovsky and Vygotskijs perspectives. The resultat showed that the majority of preschool teachers have see that image and drama has a great significance over childrens learning in preschool..

Abstrakt: Demensvård är och har historiskt i vårt land varit starkt medicinskt orienterat, dock har en viss förskjutning skett. Förhållningssätt och bemötande är begrepp som inte är traditionellt medicinska, dock har de blivit allt viktigare i det praktiska arbetet kring demenssjuka. Syftet med denna forskning är att förstå och skapa förståelse för hur ett (special)pedagogiskt perspektiv inom demensvården kan leda till större delaktighet och livskvalitet. Tre kvalitativa intervjuer har genomförts vid ett demensboende i en mellansvensk småstad. Den teoretiska verktygslådan innehåller diskursanalys samt en reflexiv tolkning i pragmatisk anda.

Early intervention is important on different levels and must be justified as a social and economic long-term investment. There is no doubt about the importance of early detection when helping children/students in need of support. What kind of support that is deemed suitable and who provides the support can be viewed from different perspectives and with different approaches. Seen from a relational perspective the special education process is a long-term process and affects not only the individual but the whole school culture and systems may need changing. This study intends to describe the importance of the learning environment and what efforts are initiated early for students in need of support from the special education point of view.

This thesis studies the stock price reaction around 68 announcements of special dividends and share redemptions on the Swedish stock market between the years of 2003 and 2007. We show that for the Swedish private investor, the tax effect of a share redemption is lower than that of a special dividend. Moreover, a share redemption could be interpreted as a signal of undervaluation. These two factors lead us to assume that the stock market would react more positively in connection to the announcement of a share redemption. We test this hypothesis through an analysis of the risk-adjusted abnormal return for the observations in the sample.

Our essay is about alcohol information given to youths in Helsingborg. It is a research to find out how the message is communicated and how it is presented. The purpose of our study is to find out, why inform about alcohol and if it is taken in a preventive aim. To investigate weather there is any talermade information in the community for youths between 12-18 years old. We also want to know if the given information is destined for a special group/groups or is it for young people in general? Our intention is to find out the meaning of prevently information about alcohol and if it is possible to reach a change in attitudes and behaviour.We use a qualitative method and have interviewed twelve persons with different occupations within medical service, local authorities, public and private schools and voluntary organizations..

According to some researchers, dyscalculia is at least as prevalent as dyslexia. Somewhere between 3.6-6 % of all pupils have specific mathematics difficulties named dyslexia. If this be true, it should present the most complex special education predicament by far in schools today. Despite the statistics, dyscalculia is still a rather unknown concept.The cause of dyscalculia is not yet fully analyzed. There are several theories and many researchers see similarities between dyscalculia and the special educational problem of reading and writing, dyslexia.

Syftet med vårt arbete var att jämföra Montessoripedagogik, traditionell pedagogik och Waldorfpedagogik utifrån föräldrasamverkan, skolförberedelse, kunskapssyn, pedagogens roll och synen på barns förutsättningar att lära. Vidare under forskningsarbetets gång har vi intervjuat verksamma pedagoger inom de valda pedagogikerna. Vårt arbete har resulterat i jämförelser där vi har försökt tydliggöra likheter och skillnader inom de olika pedagogikerna. De slutsatser vi kan dra av detta forskningsarebete är att ingen förskola är den andra lik miljömässigt men att förskolor med samma pedagogik har liknande drag.
