För att äldre personer ska kunna utföra meningsfulla aktiviteter och känna gemenskap med andra krävs att de kan transportera sig. Det är viktigt för att bibehålla god hälsa och uppleva livskvalitet. Många äldre har svårighet att transportera sig med vanliga bussar på grund av funktionsnedsättningar som kommer med stigande ålder. Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva vad En buss för alla har för betydelse för äldres delaktighet i samhället. Studiens design var kvalitativ, en målinriktad sampling gjordes och undersökningsgruppen valdes ut från förutbestämda kriterier.

In this thesis we propose a conceptual plan for thedevelopment of an Agroforestry Training Centre (ATC)in Musoma, Tanzania. The aim is to make a proposalto support peasant education in agroforestry. How canan ATC in Musoma be developed into a stimulatingand educational park suitable for teaching agroforestrymethods to peasant farmers and other potential users?To answer that a field study was conducted to investigatehow our client Vi Agroforestry Programme (Vi) and thetarget groups of the client can benefit from the site.The thesis begins with a short explanation of thecontext, in which the ATC plays a part followed by amethodology chapter. Next are three chapters presentedwhich introduce the reader to the research conductedbefore starting the proposal, these include: results ofliterature studies, study of precedents, and results of fieldstudy.

This project explores how artificial landscapes as parks and squares above ground can save space by using the vertical voids in urban environments and how they can create spatial and social as well as ecological qualities and connections. Hybrid landscapes are a phenomenon of current interest within the field of architecture and urbanism. Architecture as surface, where facades and roofs become possible to tread, is a relatively recent occurence that has over the past few years become an increasingly common sight in architectural magazines and on international architecture exhibitions. Many of my selected reference projects have often been associated with sensational contemporary design trends generated by advanced computer software. But the phenomenon is also a result of other different currents of change that exist within today?s society, such as densified cities with a lack of open space, which is also expressed in architecture.

This essay research the characteristics of the place-name Kiven?bben (with variation) in the Swedish region of V?sterg?tland, and its possible connection to the fortification term kiven?bb. The purpose is to deepen and nuance earlier brief reaserches made for the subject. The essay uses the theories of the urban planner Kevin Lynch to rule out if it is likely that the places with kiven?bb-names in V?sterg?tland were named after a fortification in the closest area.

The purpose of this thesis is to through brand communication and Red Bull?simage examine how they position themselves as leaders on the Swedish energydrink market. We chose relevant theories within buzz marketing, word ofmouth, sampling and events. Our method of preference was quantitativequestionnaires which we spred through email to students at the LinneausUniversity and other social networks such as Facebook and blogs. Our empiricalstudy is based on our questionnaires and information about Red Bull.

This master thesis takes its point of departure in the conflicting worldviews of modernism and post-modernism. As traditional segmentation theory springs from the modernist worldview, this study aims to contribute to the understanding of the complexity regarding market segmentation for lifestyle brands in contemporary society, where the consumer is often claimed to be post-modern. The research was conducted in Malmö and Lund and involved 25 Converse users as respondents. The methods used in this thesis starts with observations as a sampling technique in order to locate the respondents. Short interviews and photo documentation followed.

Syftet med vårt examensarbete är att få en inblick i hur lärare agerar och kommunicerar med förskolebarn i åldern ett till tre år om rumsuppfattning i utemiljön. Som metod använder vi oss av kvalitativa intervjuer och observationer för att besvara våra tre frågeställningar. Resultatet visar att lärarnas intresse och kunskap att tolka barnens både verbala och ickeverbala uttryck är en förutsättning för att inspirera till nya läranden om rumsuppfattning. Utemiljöns föränderliga möjligheter inspirerar både barn och lärare i deras kommunikation och utmanar till nya lärande om rumsuppfattning..

Miljonprogrammet genomfördes mellan år 1965 och 1975 med syfte att bygga bort den rådande bostadsbristen. Under en tioårsperiod skulle en miljon nya bostäder byggas. Målet uppfylldes och cirka 25 % av Sveriges bostäder återfinns idag i miljonprogramsområden. Kritiken mot de storskaliga miljonprogramsområdena har varit stark. En förnyelse och utveckling av miljonprogramsområdena är därför en angelägenhet i många av Sveriges städer idag. Den primära uppgiften har varit att presentera åtgärder med syfte att förbättra storskaliga miljonprogramsområden. Uppsatsen behandlar enbart den fysiska miljön i miljonprogrammets storskaliga bostadsområden.

A new system of public transportation that can simplify and shorten the trips made throughout the city, anddo that both cheap and environment-friendly. Sounds like good news. This new system, though, require anall new type of infrastructure, differing from what we are used to see in our cities. Podcar, or PRT, as thesystem is called can become a transport revolution, possibly. If that revolution does happen it is crucial that webeforehand have studied the possible effects it can cause on our city environment, from a spatial point of view.This thesis thoroughly describes the function and essence of the PRT system and presents what is availabletoday and in what forms.

Mobiltelefoner är något som nästan alla har tillgång till idag. Samtidigt ökar helatiden användningsområdena på just mobiltelefoner. Nya modeller kommer ständigtoch i takt med detta ökar även funktionaliteten av dem. Det är idag möjligt attutföra en rad andra saker än att endast ringa och skicka SMS med hjälp av sinmobiltelefon. Olika personer använder sina telefoner på olika sätt, olika mycketoch till olika saker och detta har studerats på en mängd olika sätt.

Bostadsbyggandet i Sverige idag präglas av ett fåtal större företag som producerar relativt standardiserade bostäder. Möjligheterna för den enskilda boende att påverka sitt framtida boende med avseende på planlösning och utformning är begränsade samtidigt som nya krav på bostäder uppkommer: familjekonstellationer ändras, kärnfamiljen är inte längre en självklarhet och miljö- och klimatfrågor vinner mark. Deltagande räknas som en av grundförutsättningarna för en av dimensionerna för hållbar utveckling; social hållbarhet. Social hållbarhet handlar om att bygga ett långsiktigt och dynamiskt samhälle och att trygga människors förutsättningar för sina grundläggande mänskliga behov. Att planera och bygga i en grupp, en så kallad byggemenskap, är ett fenomen som förekommer i flera länder i Europa och även i ett begränsat antal exempel i Sverige.

Den här studien är ett examensarbete inom informationsdesign med inriktning rumslig gestaltning. Arbetet omfattar tio veckor av studier som har resulterat i en rapport samt ett gestaltningsförslag. Fokus i studien har varit på att undersöka vilka funktioner som bör tydliggöras i väntrummet på ungdomshälsan i Uppsala. Efter litteraturstudier och insamling av empirisk data har ett designförslag tagits fram. I designförslaget har väntrumsytan utökats.

Boendesegregationen i våra svenska städer är ett problem som ökar. Den fysiska planeringen är en faktor som påverkar hur väl stadsdelar är fysiskt integrerade med varandra. Olika planeringsideal leder till skilda typer av fysiska strukturer, och i stadsbyggnadsprojekt finns idag visioner om att koppla samman fysiskt och socialt segregerade stadsdelar med den nya strukturen. Målet är att bidra till en ökad integration, såväl fysiskt som socialt. Syftet med arbetet har varit att studera två sådana aktuella projekt, H+ i Helsingborg och Hyllie i Malmö, för att se vilka fysiska strukturer och arbetssätt som förordas och vad de ser för möjligheter och begränsningar att genomföra visionerna. En diskursanalys med visionsdokument och intervjuer med projektdeltagare som grund genomfördes, för att se på vilket sätt det talas om att den fysiska planeringen kan bidra till integration.

This thesis focus on the presentation of the filmic room the viewer sees in George A. Romero´s three horror classics Night, Dawn and Day of the Dead. The hypothesis goes as follow; fear and element of tension becomes greater if the audience/viewer has a good knowledge about the filmic room in the film, in other words, a good spatial awareness. The conclusion is that it does. The environment is active in its becoming and in its presentation to the viewer.

In recent years, the demands for effectiveness and evidence in social work have increased in all work areas, including that of healthcare. This has sparked the discussion on concepts such as practical- and theoretical knowledge and their respective roles in social work. In the light of this, the purpose of this candidate thesis is to investigate healthcare social workers understanding of practical- and theoretical knowledge in the working process as well as their respective influence and importance. This candidate thesis is based on three interviews with social workers from different departments in Norrlands Universitetssjukhus in Umeå, Sweden. To provide range to the thesis, the interviewees were chosen from a purposeful sampling.
