Syftet med denna uppsats är att bidra med en ökad förståelse för hur svenska offentliga arkiv kan hantera de aktiviteter som ryms under bevarandeplanering (Preservation Planning) enligt OAIS-modellen. Viktiga slutsatser som har varit möjliga att dra i denna undersökning är att en migreringsstrategi är att föredra för svenska offentliga arkiv. Det kan även vara lämpligt för svenska offentliga arkiv att frångå OAIS- modellen och lagra teknisk metadata dels i informationspaketet och dels i en separat referensdatabas.

This study aims to explore how a gardening project with elderly living in Djuröhemmet, a nursing home outside Stockholm, affected them regarding psychological well-being and their experience of participation during the planning and construction of the memory garden. The gardening project is new in its kind by allowing the residents to influence the design of the garden by sharing the project leader their gardening memories from previous parts of their life and by wishing for specific plants and items.  The method being used was qualitative interviews where we interviewed seven people living in Djuröhemmet who participated in all or parts of the project. The theoretical framework is Molins (2004) definition of participation, but also theories of meaningfulness, social needs and gerotranscendence were applied. The results indicate that the participants did not realize that their involvement during the planning helped developed the garden.

Planområdet Kilen avgränsas av resecentrum i öst och av Ronnebyån i väst. Genom en nyexploatering vill Ronneby kommun ändra användningsområdet från industriverksamhet till bostäder och bygga cirka 120 lägenheter. Det centrala läget gör att affärer, skola, dagis och annan service finns inom bekvämt gångavstånd. Att bo precis intill resecentrum ger mycket goda pendlingsmöjligheter för de boende i området. Förhoppningen är att ny bostadsbebyggelse i Kilenområdet även ska bidra till att förstärka stråket mellan centrala Ronneby och Soft Centerområdet och Brunnsparken.

Recent years there has been discussed how the critical situation in the housing market threatens the Stockholm region's growth. The thesis objective is to examine whether there is a scientific link between the lack of housing supply and growth. The thesis also intends to identify solutions for increased housing construction, for instance by examining the conditions for a greater regional perspective and influence on the region's housing supply. The thesis empirical study is based on semi-structured interviews with representatives from the Government, municipalities and the housing industry.In Sweden, research on the relationship between housing shortages and growth has not been conducted to that extent it can be said to exist scientific evidence regarding the growth threat. However, in Britain and the U.S, empirical studies show that a lack of housing supply has hindered growth through negative impact on countries' gross domestic product.

The purpose of this master's thesis is to evaluate whether it is feasible to use the panchromatic band of Landsat 7 in order to improve the spatial resolution of colour images. The images are to be used as texture in visual databases for flight simulators and for this reason it is important that the fusion preserves natural colours.A number of methods for fusing panchromatic and multispectral images are discussed. Four of them are implemented and evaluated. The result is that standard methods such as HSI substitution are not suitable for this purpose since they do not preserve natural colours. However, if only high frequencies of the panchromatic image are used the resolution can be improved without noticeable colour distortion..

In this thesis we propose a conceptual plan for thedevelopment of an Agroforestry Training Centre (ATC)in Musoma, Tanzania. The aim is to make a proposalto support peasant education in agroforestry. There are numerous questions to be asked when your task is to plan a small community?s future development. Is it possible to suggest something new and modern? What considerations should be taken concerning the existing situation? What is an appropriate size for the new development? It is strongly effected by the expansive and urban region it?s located in but is still rural in character.

My bachelor?s dissertation concerns the creation of a proposal for interior decoration of the Boland High School?s canteen. I have been in contact with personnel, students and the school principal through the duration of the project. In the end, substantive changes of lighting, interior decoration and movement were proposed for the canteen. In the proposal I have focused on accentuating the school?s profile, on creating smaller spatial configurations within the larger configuration of the room, lowering the noise level, creating a good movement flow, increase the number of seats and creating a pleasant environment in which to eat..

Sustainable Development is often described as a balance between ecological, economical and social aspects. Between these exists a complicated interaction that creates conflicts in the planning of the landscape. We see a growing need for a functional interaction between values and interest and an understanding for different perspectives. Cooperation and dialogue are key ideas with the focus on cooperation rather than the goal. There is a lack of forum for dialogue and cooperation within municipalities where a great knowledge and competence are gathered.

The construction industry is often criticized to be an industry of narrowness and slow of change. The traditional construction process is considered to create gasps of inferior quality, delays and increase of disputes. Meanwhile, productivity is lower compared to other industries and the prices are increasing. In this debate, it has been assumed that the reported figures are monitoring a reflection of reality, but there might be an error in the statistics which suggests that the focus is at the wrong place. A study of the monitoring and the measurements of the results are to consider, instead of spending time and resources on issues and actions The Last Planner System is an executive planning tool which creates a predictable workflow and creating value throughout all the different stages.

Opaltorget pekades redan i forskningsrapporten Lokala torg från 2004 ut som en plats i stort behov av förändring. Processen, som sedan pågått från att ett behov av en ny detaljplan identifierades till att ett planförslag slutligen presenterades på samråd under november och december 2009, har varit långdragen och komplicerad. Många av aktörerna som varit engagerade i planarbetet har deltagit redan under ett tidigt skede, medan ett par involverades först efter det att arkitektfirman BIG tagit fram ett gestaltningsförslag och det hunnit bearbetas. Synpunkterna som aktörerna hade på gestaltningen har i mitt arbete jämförts med Jan Gehls, Gordon Cullens och Kevin Lynchs principer för gestaltning och rumslig organisation, för att se om aktörernas förslag och synpunkter kunde härledas till en gemensam grund eller princip. Dessa tre teoretiker fokuserar på gestaltning av stadsrummet och inte så mycket på gestaltningen av själva byggnaderna, vilket gjorde att arbetets tyngdpunkt lades på utformningen av de offentliga platserna. Gehl, Cullen och Lynch har dock angripit planeringsfrågorna olika. Gehl har definierat de principer som är mest optimala att använda för att skapa en vital utomhusmiljö, det vill säga liv mellan husen.

I takt med att besökare och patienter ökar måste kontinuerligt Östra sjukhuset verksamhet utvecklas. Detta medför omläggningar i trafiken och förflyttningar av verksamheter. Idag finns flertalet brister kring Östra sjukhusets fysiska planering som behöver ses över, dessa är bland annat trafikflöden, säkerhetsaspekter och parkeringsmöjligheter.Rapporten redogör för förändringar i den fysiska planeringen som förbättrar dess utformning. Genom studier av relevant litteratur och diskussioner med expertis har förslag av problemområden tagits fram. Dessa har sedan bedömts efter listor av deras respektive för- och nackdelar som kunnat urskiljas.Arbetet visar framtagandet av ett väl fungerande förslag som kan verka som en bas för idéer till nutida och framtida förändringar kring den fysiska planeringen.
