This is a study of Sensus Barnmusikskola ? Children?s School of Music, in Karlstad, Sweden?s attempts to facilitate integration and diversity in their operation. The Culture and Recreation Management in Karlstad town?s conditions to award the school their grant in 2009 was that Sensus Children?s school of Music should make targeted interventions in the socioeconomic exposed areas Gruvlyckan/Våxnäs and Kronoparken to increase the number of children with foreign background. This would according to the Culture and Recreation Management bring more integration and diversity in to the school?s operation.

När man planerar för nya områden idag är ett av de vanligaste ledorden för den framtida stadsutvecklingen att bygga stadsmässigt. Att med funktionsblandning, tät bebyggelse och ett aktivt folkliv skapa en attraktiv stadsmiljö är det som eftersträvas i enlighet med gamla traditionella ideal. Samtidigt råder det en stor skillnad i hur man använder begreppet som vision mot hur det realiseras i planeringen. Hur planerar man för stadsmässighet i en helt ny stadsdel, i detta fall applicerat på Brunnshögområdet i Lund? Vad innebär begreppet stadsmässighet i Brunnshög/Lund Ne´s planeringsunderlag i jämförelse med den vetenskapliga litteraturen? Huvudsyftet med detta examensarbete är att undersöka det Vetenskapliga och kunskapsmässiga innehållet i begreppet stadsmässighet samt tillämpningen i fallet Brunnshög/Lund NE. Till grund för arbetet ligger en kunskaps och forskningsöversikt där vetenskapliga teorier och definitioner som rör stadsmässighet utreds.

This thesis is written at WSP management and investigates the practice of pre-project planning and feasibility studies at Swedish construction companies, through the study of the ongoing feasibility study of the mall Sturegallerian in Stockholm, and through interviews with experienced project managers in the construction industry. There is currently a big span in the way Swedish construction companies plan the pre-project phase and the aim of this thesis is to present a more generic and standardized way that helps minimize project risks and maximize efficiency and profit. The result is a generic model which can be used in pre-project planning. The model describes the phases in the preproject planning process and the activities that span these phases. Is also describes the categories of professions that need to participate in the preproject planning group and which activities that each profession executes. The other result is a list of factors that need to be considered for a well performed pre-project phase, as found during the interviews. Among others the thesis stresses the importance of involving the client as a key participant in the process.

De externa köpcentrumen har haft en stark utveckling i storstäderna och framförallt har de externa köpcentrumen utvecklats ännu bättre i de mindre städer. Under 1990-talet har externhandeln vuxit med hela 85 procent i Sverige. Att handeln har samlats till färre platser, mest till externa köpcentrum, beror dels på att det skett en urbanisering och dels på att bilanvändningen har ökat. Förr byggdes städerna vid åmynningar, där handelsleder korsades och så småningom vid järnvägsknutar. Numera utvecklas bostäder och service oberoende av varandra.

It has become more common for organization to operate a lot of projects at the same time. These projects affect each other, either in way of resources or technical. Projects in a multi-project environment depend and affect each other, and in most cases they rival about resources, decision-makings and priority. To lead a project portfolio with several projects is a major challenge. The most common problems that occur are vague objective, unclear working conditions, resource shortage and problems of priority.

Detta kandidatarbete har sin teoretiska utgångspunkt i Matthew Potteigers och Jamie Purintons begrepp landscape narrative, landskapets narrativitet. Arbetet syftar till att undersöka hur planerare genom detaljplanering och detaljeringsgrad kan arbeta med begreppet. För att kunna komma fram till ett svar har intervjuer, granskning av plandokument och en fallstudie använts som metod. Landskapets narrativitet kan liknas som en berättelse om och i landskapet, men som inte har en början, mitt eller slut. Landskap är en process som hela tiden är föränderlig. Narrativitet läses olika beroende på vem som gör tolkningen och i vilket sammanhang den görs i.

Examensarbetet är ett förnyelseprojekt i centrala Karlskrona. Planområdet utgörs av ett stycke utfylld landmassa vilken nyttjats som oljehamn sedan mitten av 1950-talet. Området är aktuellt som förnyelseområde då den pågående verksamheten successivt skall avvecklas fram till år 2010. På samhällsbyggnadsförvaltningen i Karlskrona har en stigande efterfrågan på centrala lägen för bostäder och verksamheter uppmärksammats. I översiktsplanen har denna efterfrågan besvarats med en planberedskap där en rad utvecklingsområden pekats ut. Oljehamnen på Hattholmen är ett av dessa utvecklingsområden. Hattholmens läge i stadsstrukturen innebär både goda utvecklingsmöjligheter och svårhanterliga problem.

En god och fungerande stadsdel utanför stadskärnan kräver omsorgsfull utformning. I stadens utkant finns inte samma underlag för urbant liv och därför ställs höga krav på planeringen. En ny stadsdel måste möta sin omgivning och ses utifrån staden som helhet. I mitt arbete har jag lyft fram vikten av att förhålla sig till omgivande områden, landskapet samt stadskärnan och ta till vara på deras kvalitéer. Det nya området måste också tillföra den befintliga omgivningen kvalitéer.

SAMMANFATTNING I Örebros översiktsplan från 2010 nämns tre förslag, nedgrävning, överdäckning och upphöjning av järnvägen för att minska dess störnings och barriäreffekter. Syftet med examensarbetet är att göra ett planförslag utifrån det förslag från Örebro kommun som mest minskar barriäreffekterna av järnvägen, bäst länkar samman Väster och centrum och svara på frågeställningen. För att genomföra det har två analyser utförts. En litteraturstudie med material från bland annat Jane Jacobs och Jan Gehl. Inventeringar för att hitta den befintliga grönstrukturen, infrastrukturen, bebyggelsestrukturen och rumsstrukturen.

The aim of this study about wind power planning in forest was to examine the factors and restrictions, which represent technical limitations, biodiversity, tourism and amount of energy for wind farms in Kronoberg County. Suitable areas for wind power were identified from the collected information about planning principles and potential conflicts. From the suitable areas the potential energy gain is calculated. Methods used were mainly a literature review, interviews with experts and practitioners, GIS analysis and a rough calculation of the energy gain. The section of information and facts describes in general wind power planning and possible conflicts.

Non-profit organization?s campaigns, which aim to change a behavior, often have a political responsibility and it is therefore important that these are carefully planned and carried through.

This report describes the construction process and the aspects that should be taken into consideration. It includes models of decision and how these can be used in practice. Planning of a building project is very important for a successful execution. This will be the foundation of problems that will occur during the production. In the planning process people with different positions, search for the best suitable building methods.

Purpose:The purpose of this thesis is: to determine key success factors for an organisation?s internal process of internalising future trends forecasting. Methodology:A qualitative approach has been chosen by examining three different companies (Electrolux, H&M and, Sony Ericsson) through interviews and other data. The empirical material have been analysed by using valid theory as a platform from where the analysis can be performed. This has created a conceptual analysis that enables the use of the conclusions in other similar companies.

This essay intends to provide an understanding of the developments in the right of public access and recreational activities in the forests of Sweden, and which factors and prerequisites that have affected this development. The forest and its history, along with recreational development has in many ways shaped today?s rights of public access, but there is also an age-old tradition of public access that has affected how we have used the forest, and that also has enabled the development of outdoor recreation. Many are unaware of this, which causes misunderstanding to appear around the rights of public access and how it is supposed to be used.The essay opens with historical descriptions of public access, the Swedish forest and outdoor recreation, to thereby provide a picture of how these three fields have influenced each other over the centuries. This is followed by a description of the current access rights and the problems associated with those, and a description of other countries' equivalent of the right of public access.
