Arbetsterapeuter tillfrågas ibland att delta i arbetsgrupper vid ny- eller ombyggnation av gruppbostäder. Det finns ingen forskning eller sammanställning om hur det egentligen förhåller sig i den fysiska miljön på gruppbostäder i Sverige. Syftet med uppsatsen var att kartlägga den fysiska tillgängligheten på gruppbostäder i förhållande till tre olika personprofiler med instrumentet Housing Enabler. Studien har en kvantitativ ansats av en deskriptiv karaktär. Mätningar genomfördes på 18 gruppbostäder för vuxna med beslut enligt LSS.

Regionen kring Öresund befinner sig i ett expansivt skede, vilket bidrar till att trycket på bl.a. småhus i området har ökat och Trelleborgs kommun är intresserad av att ge Skegrie en större utbredning. Skegrie är en av de tre främsta utvecklingsorterna i kommunen. Den är belägen längs Skegrie byaväg, invid E6 mellan Malmö och Trelleborg. Det bor ca 560 människor i byn.

Due to an increased population in cities the need of densification of cities increases. This means that the amount of ecological elements in the city is at risk of decreasing. Ecological services contribute to the city?s climate by softening the negative impacts that densification of cities means. Thus increases the will and ambition in city planning in to preserve greenery.This is an interdisciplinary thesis within the subject of geography that studies Biotope Area Factor (BAF), a planning tool that is used in city planning with the purpose of compensating for lost ecological services associated with new housing estate.

As the contemporary discourse surrounding urbanism is almost exclusively focusing on aspects of density and traditional urban qualities, it entrenches notions of what constitutes a proper city and countryside. But beyond this urban-rural dichotomy is another highly contemporary landscape. A territory usually mentioned as sprawl, peri-urban, wasteland, edge city, etc. Although its existence is due to mobilization, telecommunications, globalization and other phenomena of modern life, it is a landscape without an own name or place in public awareness.This thesis provides a case study of how to map and intervene in such a landscape, specifically along the border between Malmö and Burlöv municipalities in southern Sweden. Its structure is composed of a sequence of three parts:1 Spatial Conditions:Divided up in the sections Network, Fringe and Void.

Recently there have been a lot of talk a about the financial crisis and recession. This is understandable since the crisis, which initially was limited to the U.S. now has spread its concern globally in form of bankruptcies, less investment and lots of people have lost here jobs. The purpose of this thesis is to examine how the financial crisis have affected the construction industry relating to market and personnel, but also examine what measures the construction companies have taken. The examination was carried out by information received from the majority of construction-related websites which then was followed up with interviews in the various construction sectors.

Jakten på den försvunna stadsmässigheten Syftet med detta examensarbete är att undersöka vad fenomenet stadsmässighet innebär och att därmed få en djupare förståelse för detta stadsbyggnadsfenomen och som följd av detta på ett bättre sätt kunna handskas med det i diskussion och praktiskt planeringsarbete. Examensarbetet belyser vad ett stadsmässigt byggande innebär enligt vissa betydelsefulla tadsbyggnadsteoretiker. Finns det skäl att bygga stadsmässigt och vad finns det för faktorer som försvårar möjligheterna att skapa stadsmässiga städer? Vidare presenteras tre svenska stadsbyggnadsprojekt där stadsmässighet har stått i centrum. Arbetet baseras på litteraturstudier samt studiebesök. Examensarbetet börjar med en kortfattad begreppsgenomgång där begreppen stad, stadsmässighet, urban och urbanitet diskuteras.

Planeringsideal har tillsammans med andra faktorer, som ekonomiska, (lokal)politiska och juridiska, påverkat utformningen av våra städer. Rapporten tar upp de ideal eller doktriner som kan sägas ha funnits under den moderna epoken från 1850 och framåt, vilka jag kallar ?regularismen?, ?trädgårdsstaden?, ?funktionalismen? och ?efter funktionalismen?. Denna teoretiska bakgrund diskuteras sedan, med hjälp av inventering på plats, planhandlingar och intervju med kommunen dels mot två utbyggda områden i Umeå (Tomtebo och Carlslid), dels mot de ambitioner kommunen har idag för ett planområde mitt emellan dessa två. Det är naturligtvis svårt att påstå att ett visst ideal har styrt utformningen av Tomtebo och Carlslid, eller styr utformningen för det område som står i begrepp att bebyggas. Däremot tycker jag att man i områdenas utformning och med hjälp av planhandlingar kan utläsa strömningar och tendenser i stadsbyggandet.

In Sweden, there has been a continuous increase in the volume of housing construction for dairy cattle. Since 2004, the number of new, rebuilt and extended dairy cow houses undergoing preliminary inspection by the authorities has grown. The livestock farms have mostly focused on cow units instead of calf and heifer sheds; which has led to a need for information in this area. The purpose of the study was to improve advisors? knowledge about bovine building construction and function; to enable them to provide more qualified advice to conventional and organic milk producers who sustain larger herds.

The major environmental problems that we have today are frequently mentioned in the media today. One example is the ongoing debate regarding global warming and its causes and consequences. There are also several other problems in our society such as segregation and social tensions. Most agree that we must do something to solve these problems and that we must try to achieve a sustainable development for the entire planet. But how should it actually be done and what trade-offs, compromises, sacrifices and changes must be made?The purpose of this paper is to examine how these issues are being dealt with in Swedish city planning.

Det finns idag en påtaglig bostadsbrist i Stockholmsområdet och detta samtidigt som regionen förväntas få en kraftig inflyttning de kommande tjugo åren. Krav finns på kommunerna att friställa byggbar mark för ny bostadsbebyggelse. Detta arbete konkritiserar problemet genom en fallstudie av gammal industrimark som snart kommer att friställas för bostads- och verksamhetsbebyggelse. Fallstudien görs på Bergs oljehamn i Nacka kommun. Under det senaste decenniet har nyexploatering av hamnmark skett nationellt i Sverige liktväl som regionalt i Stockholmsregionen. När staden växer uppstår behov av centralt belägen mark för nyexploatering, där hamnarnas tidigare perifera läge nu blivit centralt belägna. Arbetet har undersökt förhållandet mellan typologi och de specifika kvalitéer de för med sig och hjälper till att förstärka på platsen.

In my degree project, I explore the importance of distance and how our perception of distance is affected by our experiences.During my investigatory work I studied the relation between distance and experiences. Among other things I concluded that distance can refer to several different kinds of distances (for example spatial, temporal or social distances) and that experiences are what you?ve learnt of these distances. The importance of distance can be illustrated by highlighting the effects of the distance, i.e. experiences.My degree project resulted in a pair of interactive binoculars which are used for looking at an virtual world of illustrations in 360°; a world of illustrations where distance and the importance of distance is shown..

Klimatförändringen är här och havsnivån håller på att höjas vilket hotar bebyggelse utmed kusterna. Lomma i sydvästra Skåne är en småstad som redan idag drabbats av översvämningar och som i framtiden kommer utsättas för än större risker. Havsnivån i Lomma kan enligt SMHI komma att stiga med så mycket som 2,6 meter vid framtida högvattennivåer vilket skulle få förödande effekter på bebyggelsen men även för drabbade människor. Sättet att hantera de stigande havsnivåerna har de senaste åren gått från en tillit till tekniska lösningar till en mer tillåtande lösning på naturens villkor, där vattnet tillåts översvämma bestämda områden. Med hjälp av de teoretiska utgångspunkterna, referensexempel från Hamburg och Nederländerna, samt en innehållsanalys av kommunala dokument från Lomma har tre strategier tagits fram för att hantera den stigande havsnivån i Lomma.

In the current situation in the housing market and in particular the inner city much attention is directed towards achieved prices per square meter in sales. The indicator is as a principle an appropriate measure of the housing market?s health and development, and can to some extent be used to make approximations of the general economic health status of municipalities and counties. It occurs occasionally that questions about whether prices are based on fundamentals at all times.The thesis questions that very issue, not from a macro accompanying financial perspective but rather from a microeconomic perspective, where each tenant ownership in the study is a micro-object. Are the observed prices per square meter rational relative to housing cooperative?s assets or is there a lack in the observed prices anchoring the respective association's finances.

In Sweden according to the planning and building Act municipalities have planning monopoly. The question about shopping centres in the outskirts of cities is a regional issue, because they attract customers from a large area. Municipalities often find it hard to assert themselves against large commercial companies when it comes to their establishing new retail outlets on the outskirts of cities. Without a regional co-operation there is a risk that municipalities can be played up against one another, so that more and more companies are given permits without the municipalities having taken the strategic consideration necessary for a long term sustainable development. The focus in this work is on four municipalities in the Södertörn region (Södertälje, Botkyrka, Huddinge and Nynäshamn).

This thesis presents the residential development in the city of Uppsala, targeting theliving conditions of young adults and students. In cooperation with Sweco Architect inUppsala. The purpose of this survey is to reveal difficulties and possibilities for theearly development of the construction process for studio apartments. Theinformation has been obtained through both a literature review and interviews. Theliterature review is based on Swedish regulations and previous studies in the field, andthe interviews were conducted with organisations and people in leading positionswithin Uppsala.
