SAMMANFATTNING Vårt examensarbete är en studie av två öar vid namn Hasselö och Sladö som ligger i Mellanskärgården utanför Västervik och Loftahammar. Hasselö och Sladö ingår i en glesbygdsskärgård som under de senaste decennierna drabbats hårt av avfolkning. De övergripande problemen på öarna är bristen på bostäder, avsaknaden av näringar samt bristande kommunikationer. Vår övergripande frågeställning är; hur ska skärgården kunna leva vidare och bli en attraktiv boendemiljö? Examensarbetet ska utmynna i en utvecklingsplan med riktlinjer för bebyggelsens utformning och fungera som ett underlag för öborna på Hasselö och Sladö för att kunna utveckla öarna.

The purpose of this study was to examine how the design of the wards, at Björnkulla nursing home, affects the residents? wayfinding ability and autonomy. Thus, the aim has been to make a design proposal that, trough color and design can increase the residents? chance to independent mobility. Since the study aimed to examine how the environment affect and can support people with dementia, qualitative methods were used.

Landscape architect is a profession that withholds varying tasks inside countries and between countries. In many countries the landscape architect profession does not exist. Spain is a country where the landscape architect profession is not recognized, and the professions that work with landscape architecture are architects, engineers, biologists and agronomists. "Paisajista", in English "Landscaper," is in Spain a common name for those who design gardens and parks. Sweden is one of the countries with most landscape architects due to its population and the profession is well established.

Recent years there has been discussed how the critical situation in the housing market threatens the Stockholm region's growth. The thesis objective is to examine whether there is a scientific link between the lack of housing supply and growth. The thesis also intends to identify solutions for increased housing construction, for instance by examining the conditions for a greater regional perspective and influence on the region's housing supply. The thesis empirical study is based on semi-structured interviews with representatives from the Government, municipalities and the housing industry.In Sweden, research on the relationship between housing shortages and growth has not been conducted to that extent it can be said to exist scientific evidence regarding the growth threat. However, in Britain and the U.S, empirical studies show that a lack of housing supply has hindered growth through negative impact on countries' gross domestic product.

Den här uppsatsen tar sin utgångspunkt i hur turismen kommit att bli ett viktig faktor för fysisk planering och hur den bidrar till att skapa ett landskap som under tre sommarmånader blomstrar för att under resterande delar av året ödelägga landskapet. Syftet blir därmed att undersöka hur den kommunala fysiska planeringen ger strategier för eller emot säsongsanpassade strukturer i landskapet och hur problematiken mellan dessa och de permanenta kan hanteras med fysisk planering. Frågorna som arbetet har svarat på är dels om hur turismen beskrivs och påverkar landskapet och dels om hur kommunal fysisk planering kan hantera säsnongsanpassade strukturer. För att undersöka frågorna har det gjorts en fallstudie över Borgholms kommun på norra Öland. Borgholm har valts eftersom att det är ett typexempel på en mindre kommun som under sommaren mångdubblas i antalet invånare på grund av alla sommargäster.

Datorspelsbranschen är en relativt ung bransch, både jämfört med andra delarav mjukvaruindustrin och nöjesbranschen. En av de stora utmaningarnaspelutvecklare står inför är planeringen av den långsiktiga kompetensförsörjningen.Dock saknas sammanställda historiska data och applicerbararesursestimeringsmetoder, vilket gör detta arbete näst intill omöjligt. Det förstadelmålet med den här studien är att samla in historiska data angående strukturenoch storleken på utvecklingsteam som utvecklat AAA-spel (professionelltutvecklade spel med en hög budget) för pc-datorer. Datan samlas in frånkreditlistor hämtade via webbsidan Mobygames.com. Det andra delmålet beståri att utreda huruvida den insamlade datan kan appliceras på modeller förestimering av framtida personalbehov.

Statens institut för kommunikationsanalys (SIKA) visar år efter år i sina granskningar att de transportpolitiska målen inte uppfylls av de idag etablerade trafikslagen. Det är därför mycket troligt att vi kommer få se nya transportslag inom kort. Spårbilar, som är små förarlösa och kommandostyrda spårfordon, är ett möjligt alternativ. SIKA har utvärderat spårbilen som ett lokalt alternativ i Stockholm och som ett regionalt nät i Mälardalen och funnit att systemet är samhällsekonomiskt lönsamt och har goda chanser att uppnå målen på grund av sin höga tillgänglighet och låga miljö- och olyckskostnader. Flera kommuner har anmält intresse för att pröva systemet genom att bygga upp en så kallad pilotbana. Västerås är inte en av de städer som i dagsläget är intresserade, men som troligtvis skulle kunna dra mycket stor nytta av det, framförallt ur en regional synpunkt.

Due to the growing population in Stockholm, some of the urban green areas are beingsubjected to exploitation. Hammarbyskogen is an urban forest in the south of Stockholm andis an example of a green area that is planned to be transformed into an urban environment.This paper investigates key qualities and values of an urban forest of Hammarbyskogenvalued by local inhabitants of the neighbourhoods of Hammarbyhöjden and Björkhagen in thesouth of Stockholm. In addition to that, the study seeks to investigate people?s perception ofthe planned development of the forest as well as investigate how these perceptions andqualities are being incorporated into the process of neighbourhood development.Using text analysis, interviews and discussion forums, findings have been made showing thatthe local inhabitants value the urban forest mostly for its ecological and recreational qualities.Regarding perception of the change, people are either positive or negative to the developmentwhich can be explained by people?s experienced sense of place and place attachment of thearea and the forest itself. The study has also shown that the urban planners rely on localinhabitants? view, as well as on expert knowledge during the process of planning.The results of the study contributes to a better understanding of why and for what purposesurban forests are important for the city dwellers..

Det överordnade temat för uppsatsen är det offentliga rummets konstruktion och förändring. Det preciserade syftet är att i en nutida kontext undersöka och analysera olika aktörers föreställningar om det offentliga rummet och vilka konsekvenser aktörernas föreställningar leder till i förändringen av det offentliga rummet. Undersökningens övergripande forskningsdesign är en fallstudie och fallet som undersökts är station Triangeln med omgivning i Malmö. Det empiriska materialet består av tidningsartiklar, kommunala planhandlingar, intervjuer och jurymotiveringar och deras hållbarhet kommer prövas med hjälp av triangulering. Det empiriska materialet har analyserats med hjälp av en innehållsanalys som är både kvantitativ och kvalitativ.

We were assigned to do this master thesis by Husqvarna AB who at the time for this thesis just had implemented a new material and production planning system called Replenishment system. Husqvarna AB wanted us to examine the effects of their new planning system to see if it was profitable or not. Husqvarna AB had for a time considered their delivery and supplier service to bee their biggest problem and they wanted to solve this problem by improving the communication with all involved actors in the logistic chain, which they hoped would result in a better mix of products in their warehouses. The aim of this report was therefor to analyze eventual effects for Husqvarna AB when changing from a traditional material- and production planing system to a more information intensive one. The result of this report showed effects on decreasing administrational routines and improved flexibility and lead-times.

Carbon dioxide in the atmosphere contributes to the greenhouse effect, which is essential tolife on our planet. Furthermore, it plays an important part of the photosynthesis andrespiration of the world?s organisms. Since the start of the industrial revolution the amount ofcarbon dioxide in the atmosphere has increased exponentially. The main source is theextensive burning of fossil fuels.

The aim of this Bachelor´s thesis is to describe the phenomenon ofmarketing. Four public libraries in the County of Kalmar have beenstudied in the aim to obtain information on their current marketingin the autumn of 2004, as well as their view of marketing and itssignification in connection to a vision that the Regional Library inKalmar has established. The vision is that the County of Kalmar isgoing to be the best Region of Libraries in Sweden in the year of2010. Target markets for the vision is the general public, studentsand entrepreneurs.
