This essay is about the planning of Stockholm's border regions (areas on the outskirts of the city) during the first seven years of the 21st century. It describes how planning decisions are made in reality, in respect to a 'green' perspective. By describing what a "markanvisning" is (the right to negotiate with the city about a certain piece of land) and by discussing examples of what has happened with a hundred applications for markanvisning, this essay shows how Stockholm's border regions are planned. In the majority of cases it is the initiative of the future developers that begin the planning and construction processes. Research shows that the application to get a markanvisning in Stockholm does not follow a clear, structured system. However, the existing system in Stockholm does work and it seems like almost all the employees within the municipality, the politicians, and the future proprietors are happy with the current situation. Interviews have been held with key individuals involved in the planning process.

Från det att jag började första klass har jag förutom de första två veckorna fått gå eller cykla själv till skolan. Innan man började fjärde klass fick man inte cykla, så efter att jag började just fjärde klass cyklade jag dagligen. Min dagliga resa till skolan gick genom två olika radhus- och villaområden med lite trafik. Tills jag behövde komma över en riksväg med tung och vältrafikerad trafik. Här fanns reglerade övergångställen och vid det övergångställe som ledde till min lågstadieskola stod det alltid skolpoliser.

The purpose with our research in Varbergs Kurort is to study how persons that have been a part of the individual adjusted rehabilitation program First Step have found their stay during their program. The program holds a team of professionals that together work with the individual?s physical and mental health. In our study we have included eight women and to men in the age between 35-65 years who all suffered from a slight mentally illness. Out of a social psychological perspective we have based our study from the social and room environment and how their self-recovery has affected their wellbeing during their rehabilitation.

Introduction: The population of Sweden has during the last century doubled. An increased live expectancy results in an older population and the share needing medical care increases. Demographic and political changes in developed counties have resulted in changed demands on the care of the elderly. The elderly are discharged from hospital earlier and this results a significant responsibility on the elderly themselves and their relatives. Often the relatives are engaged in the elderly?s health problems, care needs and the future consequences the current situation results in for the elderly and the domestic life.

To be able to plan for the expansion of a town, one needs a vision of the future appear-ance of the town. It is the current issues (social situation, supply and demand, political control etc.) which decide what the ideal for town planning is. This is turn is the steering factor of the physical structure of the town. Therefore, the town's structure is decided by these ideals.In this report, I will present planning ideals that have historically been, and which criticisms that have been directed towards them. With reference to these issues, I will present those guidelines and ideals we have today for planning of our towns.

Marketing in a business-to-business environment differs from its counterpart in the business-to-consumer market. Where the latter focuses on customer satisfaction, the former is all about value. This value creates loyalty between seller and buyer. Creating loyalty is becoming more and more important in the media planning industry as fierce competition reduces profit margins. Value is created through selling what a client wants at an acceptable price.

Ny teknik och utglesning av stæder har inneburit att mænniskor inte rør på sig tillræckligt. Den stillasittande livsstilen medfør høga samhælleliga kostnader, samt en rad hælsoproblem såsom hjært- och kærlsjukdomar, diabetes, høgt blodtryck, cancer, stress, samt øvervikt och fetma. En av de høgt prioriterade folkhælsouppgifterna i samhællet ær att bryta ner den stillasittande livsstilen hos befolkningen, och att se till att fysisk aktivitet blir en del av vardagen. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att undersøka den byggda miljøns påverkan på fysisk aktivitet i dagligt liv. Studien ær baserad på nio internationellt publicerade vetenskapliga artiklar, som annalyserats med en kvalitativt manifest innehållsanalys. Analysen resulterade i tre kategorier: egenskaper inom den byggda miljøn, behovet av externa faktorer och individuella førutsættningar. Konklusion av denna litteraturstudie: korta avstånd mellan bostad och service/affærer eller arbetsplats, god tillgång till gång- och cykelbanor, att området kænns tryggt och sækert samt estetiskt tilltalande; allt detta fræmjar fysisk aktivitet i vardagen.

A film can attract all kinds of emotions and moods of the audience through its audiovisual communications and cinematic expression, in which music plays a significant role in both understanding and interpretation of film content.It is interesting to explore the musical significance and the emotional aspect of the film out of a media and communications perspective and visual communications perspective because it?s a subject that belongs to the communications of scientific discipline as film is a media text which is working both as communicative and as audio-visual medium with its expressive aspects.The purpose of this bachelor?s paper is to increase and deepen the understanding of music's function and significant role in context with its reinforcing sense of visual expression in film. More specifically, it aims to explore the musical value of the expressive aspect of the media text in form of film musical Les Misérables (2012), which has been transmedialised from the novel of the same name, referring to the sound, music and song in relation to the film's visual expression.The research questions are at the core of the essay study: "how is music used to reinforce the cinematic visual expression?" and "how can music signify the narrative and highlight the emotional aspect of the film?" The theoretical framework is based on some of the key scholars assumptions such as Michel Chion (1994) and Claudia Gorbman (1987), who share the same theoretical views that the soundtrack seems powerful when it expresses its participation in a scene?s emotional moods as the music follows the scene?s rhythm, the image?s flow and contributes emotional and musical codes of emotions and expressions. According to Chion sound and image interact together to tell a story where sound enrich the image with expressive and informative values.

Målet med detta examensarbete var att inventera olika förekommande skredriskmodeller som man kan utföra med hjälp av GIS-teknik, detta för att sedan föreslå och implementera en modell för Vägverket Region Mitt för att kunna lokalisera riskbenägna vägsträckor med avseende på skred. Inom projektets ramar ingick att utifrån de befintliga databaser som finns inom Vägverket Region Mitt utföra riskanalyser i GIS-programvaran ArcView 3.2 och tilläggen Spatial Analyst och Geoprocessing. I detta arbetssteg gjordes också en analys av de befintliga databaserna med avseende på dess ursprung och kvalitet för att vara medveten om på vilken nivå analysresultatet kan användas. Slutligen analyserades GIS-resultatet av geoteknikern Nenad Jelisic som har många års erfarenhet av ras och skred inom Vägverket Region Mitt. Detta för att kunna utröna om resultatet kan användas för att påvisa områden där stabilitetsförhållanden bör uppmärksammas och om metoden kan vara ett stöd för Vägverket Region Mitt i översiktliga planeringsprocesser såsom i vägutredningar och förstudier.

Syftet med studien har varit att undersöka hur svenska kommunala belysningsplaner kan behandla trygghet och estetik samt granska i vilken utsträckning kommunala belysningsprogram finns i Sverige. Arbetet skall visa hur olika kommuner arbetar med belysningsplanering och hur de i sin tur väljer att ta upp trygghetsaspekter och estetik. Den teoretiska ramen för arbetet återfinns i forskningsöversikten vilken beskriver nyttan med ljus och ljusets betydelse för trygghet, estetik och rumslighet etcetera. Efter forsknings-och kunskapsöversikten följer en genomgång av förekomsten av belysningsprogram i 21 utvalda regioner för att få en överblick i hur vanligt förekommande det är att kommuner upprättar planer för belysning. Senare följer en fallstudie av belysningsprogram från Alingsås kommun, Jönköpings kommun och Lunds kommun och därefter en analys och diskussion av dessa.

This report is focusing on problems with introducing standard enterprise resource planning systems (ERP) in businesses. A study has been carried out on a service and support department at a Swedish heat metering company, SVM North Node. The study aims to help the company become a better customer in choice and customization of a new ERP system. We make a description of the department studied and the work carried out there, on the basis of learning, knowledge and cooperation. As a final point we present some ideas on how computer systems could support their work, hoping that this will result in them making adequate demands on a new ERP system..

Today there are a big need for a system that delivers overview of all available units for different municipalities and shipping- and security companies due to the increasing requirements for efficiency. The purpose with this graduation thesis is to find out which systems that is suitable to use while developing cost-effective software for positioning and to produce a prototype for such solution.This assignment has been done at the request of PocketMobile Communications AB. PocketMobile is a company that are specialized on delivering modern mobile software solutions and systems to companies with their own vehicle fleet or mobile workers.This master thesis can be split into two separate parts, the theoretic- and the practical part.The theoretic part includes producing a number of functional requirements in cooperation with PocketMobile and comparing the available systems against the function requirements.The practical part deal with the development of a prototype that demonstrates the software recommended. The development tools that best matched the functionality requirements when the selection was made in May 2007 were Map24 and OpenLayers. The system that was selected to use while developing the prototype was Map24, because this product matches all of the requirements and it is also suited for professional usage regarding support, scalability and reliability.

Stadsdelar med en utpräglad hållbarhetsprofil planläggs runt om i Sverige och övriga världen, och har haft en stor genomslagskraft sedan millenniumskiftet. Sedan 90-talet har dessa projekt stått högt på den politiska agendan och i Sverige startade satsningen i samband med det gröna folkhemmet då Sverige skulle bli ett föregångsland inom hållbar utveckling. Sedan 1998 har miljontals statliga kronor lagts på hållbara stadsutvecklingsprojekt vilket har lett till att ett flertal stadsdelar bebyggts i Sverige med en utpräglad hållbarhetsprofil varav Västra Hamnen i Malmö med start i Bo01- området, Hammarby Sjöstad i Stockholm och Norra Älvstranden i Göteborg är bland de största pilotprojekten. Det som områdena har gemensamt är att de alla är centralt belägna på industrimark med byggnader av miljövänliga material och diverse ekosystemtjänster finns på området. Stadsdelarna anses hållbara ur ett ekonomisk, ekologisk och socialt perspektiv.

Att planera för att uppnå täthet är ett rådande ideal inom svensk fysisk planering. Idealet är inte nytt, och ofta hämtas inspiration och idéer från 1800-talsstaden som får fungera som förebild till den täta stad som planeras idag. Men täthet har inte alltid varit önskvärt, tvärtom. Under en stor del av 1900-talet pågick en utspridning av bebyggelsen som har satt tydliga spår i den bebyggelsestruktur vi har idag. Under 70-talet började denna utspridning alltmer att ifrågasättas och en återgång till ett planeringsideal med en tätare struktur gjorde sig återigen gällande. Till en början sågs en strävan efter täthet mer som någonting nödvändigt, ett måste för att vända pågående trender.
