Det här är en uppsats omfattande 15 högskolepoäng i ämnet fysisk planering. Uppsatsens titel är ?mellankommunal översiktlig planering ? möjligheter och begränsningar? och undersöker vad begreppet innebär, både i lagens mening och i praktiken, vilka frågor som kommunerna är beredda att samplanera om och hur de gått eller tänker gå tillväga. För att konkretisera frågeställningen har tre stycken fall med olika karaktär valts. Den slutliga frågeställningen handlar om vilka likheter och skillnader som finns i dessa valda fall. Metoden för uppsatsen har till största delen utgjorts av studier av kommunala dokument; översiktsplaner, samrådshandlingar, dokumentationer etc.

The task given to us was to develop an industrial wheel with new thinking in terms of fresh design and construction, with the ability to brake. While the produced wheels of today only own the property of total braking, a wish was made to integrate the ability of directional locking.The time spent working with the project has been filled with multiple sketches of ideas and function analysis.Choices of material and ways of construction have been verified by calculations, tests and prototype building. The goal of this thesis has been to develop a unique caster with well thought-out design that would be adaptable to different areas of applications.The result was a hubless wheel with the ability of directional locking before total braking.A prototype of the wheel has been made to show the design and functions..

Every year the Swedish government invests capital in different projects. In recent years the Swedish government has chosen to invest in design. The reason for this is that the government wants industry to use design as a competitive source. Two organizations, Svensk Form and Stiftelsen Svensk Indistridesign, have been assigned to improve industry and society?s under¬standing of design.

Through a case study at an IT company we have attempted to ascertain how a company's organizational culture affects its designers' way of working. By examining what ?type? of designers the employees are and how this is reflected in their work, we hope to have correctly determined what their organizational culture looks like and thereby have achieved a plausible result in our study.Aside from two interviews with the company's CEO, we also performed eight observations at the company, where we tried to blend in with the employees, to better determine their way of working together.We have found that the designers' trust in their own instincts has led them to rarely act on feedback from clients ? they only pick out the proposals which have a ?mainstream? potential. We have also discovered that their design approach is something they don't feel inclined to discuss amongst themselves. As it is often ?indescribable?, they go with their intuition and unspoken design conventions..

Stabilization of subgrade is an internationally common technique to improve the characteristics of a soft soil. Improving the stiffness and bearing capacity of the subgrade enables the pavement to be designed with reduced depths of subbase and basecourse aggregates. This makes the stabilization technique both economically and environmentally interesting. Both natural and stabilized soils have high inherent property variability that should be considered when the characteristic value is derived. By analyzing the spatial variability in stabilized and natural subgrades it is possible get the parameters needed for reliability?based modeling of soil properties.

Denna studie har som syfte att undersöka hur den spatiala organisationen av artefakter påverkar överrapportering mellan sjukvårdspersonal på en intensivvårdsavdelning. Syftet äratt kunna förstå överrapporteringsprocessen mellan sjuksköterskor och de artefakter de har tillsitt förfogande och att ge förslag på strukturförbättringar så att dessa överrapporteringar kan effektiviseras både tid- och energimässigt. Det leder till studiens andra syfte, nämligen att ge förslag på hur en gemensam arbetsyta vid överrapporteringar, ett så kallat worktable, skulle kunna arbetas fram. Resultatet av denna studie visar att det inte finns en given struktur för hur överrapporteringar ska genomföras och därför finns det inte heller en bestämd ordning över artefakters spatiala organisation. I slutet av denna rapport ges det förslag på vilka funktioner ett framtida gemensamt arbetsbord borde innefatta..

Mellan 1960 och 1970 lades många järnvägssträckor ner sin verksamhet i Sverige, spåren revs upp och bilen tog över vår vardags pendling på allvar. Nu när effekterna av bilens framfart blivit kända är tåget åter ett intressant alternativ och olika gamla tågsträckningar vill återupplivas. Simrishamnsbanan är en sådan tågsträcka och är tänkta att åter förena de orter som finns mellan Malmö och Simrishamn. Veberöd är en av de orter som ligger utmed den forna tågsträckan och orten ingår i Lundskommun och mitt syfte med detta examensarbete är att finna svar på hur Veberöd ur ett ekonomiskat, socialt och ekologiskt "hållbart" sätt ska kunna anpassa sig till ett stationsnära läge, med tyngdpunkt på: Bostadsstruktur, Infrastruktur och Grönstruktur. Detta utifrån ett scenario där Simrishamnsbanan realiseras. Examensarbetet börjar med att problematisera hållbarhetsbegreppet och begrepp som täthet och gleshet, därefter följer en omfattande analys av Veberöds historia, bostadsområden, grönstruktur, verksamhet och service.

I detta papper, designas och utvärderas en händelsebaserad Android-applikation. MyWorld är en mobil applikation. Händelser som sker i användarens närhet kan ses på en karta. Genom arbetet används beprövade metoder för att skapa en väldefinierad design. Det tas upp problem och lösningar på designrelaterade problem i en händelsebaserad applikation.

Att samråda med sakägare och medborgare är sedan flera år en obligatorisk del i kommunal fysisk planläggning, både när det gäller detaljplaner och översiktsplaner. Inte minst har medborgardialog under 2000-talet framhållits som en viktig del i strävan efter den socialt hållbara staden. Att samråda om framtida planer med allmänheten syftar bland annat till att öka insynen i planprocessen, öka legitimiteten i beslutsfattandet samt att förbättra beslutsunderlaget med ytterligare information från de boende på platsen. Enligt aktuell plan- och bygglag är plansamrådet det enda momentet i detaljplaneprocessen där kommunen måste erbjuda allmänheten att delta i diskussionen om planändringarna. På så sätt kan plansamrådet ses som ett minimikrav på den del kommunikativ planering som kommunen är skyldig att tillämpa, däremot är kommunen fri att initiera en utökad dialog med medborgarna.

It may seem obvious that the urban space in our northern cities should be design to function and inspire throughout the whole year. This is not always the case. The urban space is often designed on a summer basis and the winter is regarded more as a problem then a resource and its potential remain unused. I have in this master thesis studied the impact of the winter on people and spaces and ponder on how to design functional and attractive places for winter. The project ends in a design concept for Broparken in Umeå on the theme "everyday winter day". The work with this thesis has given me, as a landscape architect, valuable experiences and filled a gap of knowledge that I had in this subject. I hope that this thesis can inspire Umeå kommun and others who are interested in how northern cities can benefit by its climate and develop towards a more complete city. This bachelor thesis in Landscape Architecture is about the planning and design of public spaces in small towns in Sweden. My opinion is that the small towns often are overlooked and my determination is to see if that is right. The purpose with this thesis in Landscape Architecture, with focus on a durable society is to find the central public places in small towns and evaluate their function. This thesis has a focus on good design of central public spaces, designed for the inhabitants of the small towns. A small town, which is the focus of this thesis, is defined to have 200-2000 inhabitants. The small towns, which often are built around industries or the railway, have since the nineteen seventies a problem with people leaving them for the cities in the urbanization. Currently there is also the opposite trend with people moving out from the cities, but to live on the country side, not in the small towns.

By studying literature concerning design, didactics and reflection, and complementing those explorations with interviews with experienced design educators, this thesis challenges the idea of aesthetic media education being purely aesthetic in its characteristics. Drawing from their own experiences as a media aesthetics educator and an industrial designer, the two authors argue that the work flow used within most fields of design, commonly known as the design process, might provide a suitable didactic alternative to a field of education lacking relevant methodology. The literature study offers a better understanding of the design process and how it may be defined and viewed within an educational context. The interviews provide a more practical insight into the world of design education. The result shows that the design process as a didactical method theoretically offers both elements of critical thinking as well as direction and frames for students lacking aesthetic and artistic experience.
