Planeringsideal har tillsammans med andra faktorer, som ekonomiska, (lokal)politiska och juridiska, påverkat utformningen av våra städer. Rapporten tar upp de ideal eller doktriner som kan sägas ha funnits under den moderna epoken från 1850 och framåt, vilka jag kallar ?regularismen?, ?trädgårdsstaden?, ?funktionalismen? och ?efter funktionalismen?. Denna teoretiska bakgrund diskuteras sedan, med hjälp av inventering på plats, planhandlingar och intervju med kommunen dels mot två utbyggda områden i Umeå (Tomtebo och Carlslid), dels mot de ambitioner kommunen har idag för ett planområde mitt emellan dessa två. Det är naturligtvis svårt att påstå att ett visst ideal har styrt utformningen av Tomtebo och Carlslid, eller styr utformningen för det område som står i begrepp att bebyggas. Däremot tycker jag att man i områdenas utformning och med hjälp av planhandlingar kan utläsa strömningar och tendenser i stadsbyggandet.

Samhällsplaneringen har under lång tid styrts av separering mellan olika samhällsfunktioner för att undvika konflikter. En tydlig separering som har ägt rum är funktionssepareringen mellan arbetsplatser och bostäder. Den drevs fram under den industriella epoken och har över tiden inneburit att funktionellt sett allt fler och allt större ensartade bebyggelseområden har uppstått. Syftet med funktionsuppdelningen har till stor del varit att undvika störningar och konflikter mellan olika funktioner för att skydda invånarnas hälsa och säkerhet. Rådande institutionella förhållanden såsom lagstiftning och finansieringssystem tillsammans med planeringstraditioner och principer för lokalisering av offentlig service kan hjälpa till att förklara uppkomst och omfattningen av funktionsseparering mellan arbetsplatser och bostäder men även mellan olika branscher inom näringslivet. Det industriella sättet att separera samhällsfunktioner ses delvis som föråldrat.

I have always lived around mines and around people work­ing with mines. They are a natural part of my life and, inev­itably, a great interest of mine. When time came to make a decision for a degree project, focusing on the mine context felt as natural as breathing.In LKABs underground mines, safety in fire accidents is a great priority. Of outmost importance for the escape is to have a personal gas filter for filtration of smoke and/or gas. My design project resulted in a concept which is aimed at shortening the user journey from the start of the accident until the user has applied the personal safety solution and is ready to escape.Throughout the project I?ve been working with a context which is heavily regulated, and all problems are serious, important ones.

New Economy Firms (NEFs) are considered being important drivers of economic development and growth in Sweden. Also, entrepreneurship is a widely discussed topic that is considered being essential for firms that are making business in a fast moving landscape. Usually, the growth of companies is put in context of the life cycle. The life cycle further implies that as a company moves from the startup-stage along the curve, the organizational structure increases. Further, increased structure is claimed to impede the entrepreneurial culture within the firm.

Game balance can be considerd complex - there are many factors that play a role in the perception of balance. This thesis examines complexity, game theory and intution in an effort to disconver more about the perception of balance. The findings are that tactical and strategical choices that are presented for a player need to be interesting, not to complex and not to obvious. The importance lies in the estimation of the result that the player does when making a choice..

AbstractThis essay aims to problematize and illuminate the connection between special-education and nature-based activities. With a theoretical ground that is based upon a sociocultural perspective I consider the information from the field. Through a qualitative and critical perspective I performed individual interviews with five pupils from the sixth school-year in the Swedish elementary-school. I also performed Focus-group interviews with two educators and three teachers in the same school-form. By a Hermeneutical working-method I have found out that the informants in my survey have a common experience that activities performed in nature has a positive effect on learning.

Climate changing is a growing problem for many countries and communities over the world. The cities has a huge work to deal with in their reforcements of their cities to be resilient ones. This thesis makes an effort to investigate and illuminate some of the problem the cities has to solve related to flooding, hazards, erosions, rising sea levels and crotches. This thesis will help to find solutions that international and national efforts has produced and handed out to each other. A lot of communities are charing their excellent tools that works for them.

Our purpose with this master thesis is to look at school libraries in two separate municipal contexts and with the help of case studies try to reach understanding of how the municipal organisation in general influences and co-operates with day to day reality. In order to achieve this objective we have posed the following questions: What importance are school libraries given in relation to questions of overall management and goals in the greater organisation? How are resources distributed and management allocated in the two cases? How are the various school libraries in the two municipalities organised when it comes to workload, employee role assumption and teamwork? In the section dealing with theory and previous research we present the theoretical viewpoint and the literature of importance for our subject. This includes a short history, reports and laws, and also some research and theory on school library organisation. Our method has been to study the circumstances in two separate municipalities, Varberg and Växjö.

Arbetet berör ett större naturområde nordväst om Karlshamns resecentrum och är idag ett frekvent använt rekreationsområde för de boende i Karlshamns tätort. Dessa två faktorer, närheten till Karlshamns resecentrum och områdets värde för rekreation och friluftsliv är det som präglar arbetet och som i slutändan vägt tyngst vid utformandet av planförslaget. Målet med planförslaget är att det ska vara en möjlig och realistisk lösning på hur bostäder kan placeras i området. Hänsyn har bland annat tagits till topografin, markens beskaffenhet, skyddsavstånd, beräknad befolkningstillväxt och åsikter från boende i Karlshamn som utnyttjar området. Tillsammans har det utmynnat i ett planförslag gällande ett förbättrat friluftsliv samt tre altarnativ där framtida bebyggelse redovisas..

Jag studerar varje angrepps- sa?tt genom att utfo?ra litteraturstudier, studera ett exempel och intervjua en person. Syftet a?r att fo?ra en diskussion. De fyra angreppssa?tten a?r inte en definition av ?Stadsplanering med fokus pa? ma?nniskan? utan fyra nedslag i en diskussion kring hur man kan fo?regripa ma?nskliga fo?rva?ntningar inom a?mnet fysisk planering.

Den här rapporten beskriver ett examensarbete som fördjupat sig i rummet som informationsbärare. Studieobjektet var gårdsplanen till en nyförvaltad fastighet som ska skifta funktion från äldreboende till företagslokaler och lägenhetsboende. Arbetet skedde i samarbete med utvecklingsbolaget Nygarn Utveckling AB och var förlagt i Östergarn på östra Gotland. Målet var att skapa en attraktiv och lättorienterad miljö i anslutning till fastigheten. För att nå målet har teorier om bland annat miljöpsykologi, färglära och rumsdesign samt kvalitativa observationer, analyser och intervju använts.Resultatet blev ett förslag som innebär att den framförliggande gårdsplanen till fastigheten förändras.

In this essay, I analyze the syllabus for Swedish with specific regard to literature teaching. I identify three different perspectives which carries seperate implications. First, a text-centered perspective, which tends to position the importance of the text as a part of a tradition. However, this seems to distance the reading from the reader, and place the importance of the reading event outside the student. The consequence might be that the student employs an instrumental reading which simply responds to a pre-set idea of meaning.

The purpose of this master's thesis is to examine children's communication and interaction during story time at the public library. The aim is also to examine how to develop the story time ? in terms of participation and equality ? at a specific library.Action research was used as a research strategy and participant observation, log, tutoring and interviews as methods to collect data. Since action research is done on the basis of practice, a significant collaboration with the librarian and the participant children is taking place within this study.Research from the fields of Library and Information Science, Education and Childhood Sociology form the interdisciplinary research area to which this study links. The theoretical framework consists of theory and concepts from the Socio-cultural Perspective, Poststrucuralist Feminism and Childhood Sociology.

Adapting the concept of the ?popular cultural memory? and its necessary ?context knowledge? established by Karin Kukkonen, this bachelor thesis seeks to examine how this memory is ?at work? and expresses itself in contemporary fiction, by doing an intertextual reading of the swedish author Amanda Svensson's debut Hey Dolly. Within the intertextual structures of Hey Dolly the reader encounters allusions and references that address almost everything from contemporary popular culture to established authors in the swedish canon, mainly as means for the characters to help them express their emotions and thoughts, by ?choosing? from already available content of popular culture to use and modify. The intertextuality alluding to the popular cultural memory does at the same time address the concept of the ideal reader throughout the novel.

This study examines how a couple of Swedish daily newspapers construct the hacker network Anonymous, with an aim to discuss its possible effects. The question was: In which ways is the network Anonymous constructed in a few Swedish newspapers?                      26 articles from four chosen newspaper were analysed, but because of many similarities in content, only 10 were chosen for deep analysis. With Fairclough's model of critical discourse analysis as chosen method, constructions varying from the images of heroes to villains were found as a result. The most common construction was that of Anonymous as a threat, which was most often exaggerated compared to what actions were actually described in the texts.
