I uppsatsen studeras stilen i Stig Claessons romaner Vem älskar Yngve Frej, På palmblad och rosor samt Henrietta ska du också glömma. Syftet är undersöka syntax, disposition och innehållsaspekter som motiv, symboler och tema och jämföra resultatet med tidigare forskning. I uppsatsen studeras också romanernas textbindning. Undersökningen visar att Claesson använder sig av repetition avseende både syntax, motiv och innehåll vilket skapar en väl sammanhållen, långsamt framskridande och rytmisk text med betydelseglidningar..

The aim of this project is to investigate the meeting between the city and the sea and tolook into how that could be developed and made use of. I want to find out how you can increase the availability of a specific place and make it more welcoming, I also want to bring life to an already existing space and create a central meeting place in the city. The purpose is to give form to an esplanade along a dock in the central parts of Kalmar. Starting with an analysis of this public place, I want to create a concept that is close to the existing context and communicates the contrasts or associations between for example: city and nature, artificial and natural and indoor and outdoor. The primary object of the project is to add a welcoming, public place to the city where you on an accessible way canfamiliarize yourself with the meeting between the city and the sea.

Place is on the one hand a commonsense everyday word with diversely connotative meanings, and on the other a contested concept with different interpretations across a broad range of academic disciplines and discourses. This thesis researches theories of place and their implications for the theory and design practice of landscape architecture. Responding to problems of insufficient theoretical grounding and inconsistent use of the concept of place within the discipline presently, it argues the need for a theory of place better articulated in relation to landscape architecture. It seeks to contribute to such theory formation by drawing on ideas from related disciplines ? tracing diverse understandings of place beyond the commonsense meanings of the word and into the deeper reaches of place theory as tools to explain physical, social and spiritual aspects of the environment, and human relationships with it.

This paper is about the facades and the streets impact on theexperience of the city and how architects can create cities forthe human kind with simple tools that makes a hugh difference forthe experience of urban space.As the cities are growing in a faster rate and as more people moveto the cities, they will also affect more people. The differentstructures that can be found in the cities therefore gets moreimportant and giving design to city structures also gets morecomplex because of our higher demands on urban functions andcontent. It?s difficult to evaluate the ultimate city structuresince all people experience their city in different ways, butarchitects still should be able to create urban spaces thatis suited for the human kind, just as we can create differentbiotopes for flora and fauna. Therefore there must be generalideas of what the human being experience as good or bad and theseshould be guidelines when designing urban space.Since urban space is something that most people experience everyday it doesn´t always have a clear impact on them.

I have investigated the interaction between man and environment, between my inner reality and a physical place, using a camera as my primary tool. What conceptions do I have and how do they affect how I relate to the outer world? I am not a passive receiver of the surrounding world. Instead I actively (but usually unconsciously) choose what to take in and how I experience it. If we as landscape architects do not reflect upon our conceptions, they will unconsciously affect our decisions. Only when we accept our experiences as subjective, can honest communication take place. By means of literature studies I have connected my own conceptions with different definitions of place: place as enclosure (location, space), place as inner meaning (genius loci) and place as action (the place-creating process).

The aim of this master´s thesis is to explore how a library through it´s spatial distribution expresses, and is an expression for, a view of knowledge. This is done by an analysis of the Orkanen library at Malmö Högskola. Questions posed in this study are: What view of knowledge is mediated through the spatial system and in the shelving of books? What view of learning is expressed in the spatial distribution of functions and artefacts?The theoretical framework of this thesis has two fundamental features. One, which focuses on theories of social space, a part that is mainly influenced by the theories of space syntax.

Denna rapport beskriver resonemanget kring framtagandet av en modul som tillåter användaren att, på ett lättanvänt sätt, skripta beteenden hos en redan existerande grafikmotor. Arbetsprocessen beskrivs steg för steg med definition av vad ett skript är, vad som ska kunna gå att skripta och vilka övergripande krav som ställs, design av tekniska lösningar, design av syntax, testning och till sist resultat. Resultatet varierade på de olika punkterna. Den underliggande tekniska lösningen blev lyckad då den uppfyllde kraven på modularisering, robusthet, flexibilitet och prestanda. Ur en tillämpbarhetssynpunkt blev resultatet även här tillfredsställande eftersom det visade sig vara fullt möjligt att skripta kloner på de tre försöksspelen (SkiiFree, BreakOut och Space Invaders) på ett sätt som kändes bra och rättfram.

För att kunna minska denna barriär måste vi vara medvetna om att Trädgårdsgatan är ett offentligt rum kopplat till staden som helhet. Arbetet har resulterat i ett förslag, där redovisas hur Trädgårdsgatan har potential att utvecklas för att minska den fragmentering som finns i staden. Resultatet fokuserar inte bara på Trädgårdsgatan som ett stadsrum, utan även som stadsrum kopplad till staden som helhet.

Jag har studerat en liten torgbildning på Hisingen, Göteborg, i området Jättesten. Platsen är intressant då den har många besökare trots att den ligger vid sidan av de större stråken. Platsen har en del gestaltningsproblem och stora nivåskillnader, som gör den svår och otillgänglig. Intresset för torg och offentliga rum är större än någonsin och välgestaltade gemensamma platser har anlagts i nya bostadsområden såsom Norra Älvstranden i Göteborg, Hammarby sjöstad i Stockholm och Västra hamnen i Malmö. Men vad händer med förortstorgen från efterkrigstiden? Hur används 40-, 50- och 60-talets torg idag? I mitt examensarbete har jag också studerat olika torgstrukturer från olika epoker under 1900-talet då byggnadsidealen skilt sig åt.

In my opinion, the city is a place fit as much for children as for grown-ups. I have noticed, however, that this is not a view shared by everyone. Does not the urban space belong as much to children as to other people? Yes, of course. Today and in the future most people will live and grow to be adults in cities. I would even take it as far as to say that without children, there will be no real city.

Children undergo great developmental changes during the preschool and early school years. It is also the very same period in which their pragmatic abilities develop. This study aimed to examine the relationship between Theory of Mind and syntax. Fifty-four preschool and school children aged between 3:11 to 9:0 years participated. TROG-2 and a False Belief assessment of Sally Anne design using three conditions: narrative, silent and distortion were used.

With my bachelorwork I aimed to design a new mobile ?livingspace? which should become as small, functional andeasy to assemble as possible.The ?living space?is made for people who are interested inhaving a biking vacation and getting more close to naturebut at the same time wish to have a comfortable and easyway of traveling and living. The ?living space? is a multipurposevehicle which you transport with a bicycle. Thevehicle contains a kitchen with workspace, a refridgerator,space for luggage and a comfortable sleeping space.In my workingprocess I made research, sketches and modelsto find a functional solution..

The phenomenology of Gaston Bachelard holds that readers, or viewers, relate to spatial imagery through the use of age-old archetypes. These archetypes form a collective image-memory that is employed when reading space. One such image is the house. The house for Bachelard is, however, never solely an image, but constitutes a familiar space that becomes inscribed in our bodies through the repeated physical contact with this domestic space. The house teaches us to interact with space, and comes to inform the way that human beings understand images of space.

This project aims to explore fear of violence in public places. Fear of violence reminds us that there is a problem in our urban environment that leads to spatial consequences in using public space. Many groups in our society experience fear in their everyday life but this project has focus on women?s fear.
