Abstract The aim of this paper is to investigate whether Vara municipality has a continuous picture of their identity, profile and image. Globalization has contributed to the increasingly growing of place marketing. Therefore, the study goes on to using the concepts of identity, profile and image to find out if Vara Municipality communicates similar throughout the whole organization and find out their all through core values. Globalisation will be an interpretive framework for the work that describes why the place marketing is becoming more pressing. The sense of place will be a central part of this study as it is the feelings and images of different places that will be described by the municipality together with the identity, profile and image.

   To work and live in the same place where ones employer also is the landlord, can create a situation with many special requirements for the individual. Constrains regarding time, space and impact on social life is likely to appear. Based on theory and empirical research about the Boundaryless work and the Psychological contract the purpose of this report is to examine employees who live and work at the same place. This is done by studying the regulation regarding time and space factors and the psychological contracts in expectations and in violation of the psychological contract and the risks associated with this like Locked-in factors. The study includes interviews with managers and employees (n=9).

Undervisning för hÄllbar utveckling

Vi vill med detta examensarbete undersöka om skiftet frÄn miljö undervisning till hÄllbar utveckling har skett, och hur vÀl kÀnt begreppet hÄllbar utveckling Àr hos lÀrarna. Syftet med undersökningen Àr ocksÄ att utveckla kunskap om de anvisningar som finns i vÄra styrdokument rörande hÄllbar utveckling följs och vilka arbetsmetoder som anvÀnds. Vi har gjort kvalitativa intervjuer med sex lÀrare och tvÄ med rektorer frÄn skolor pÄ mindre tÀtorter. Resultatet av denna studie visar att majoriteten av de lÀrare vi intervjuat inte har nÄgon djupare kunskap om begreppet hÄllbar utveckling. Den undervisning som i dag finns har frÀmst ett miljöperspektiv. De metoder som anvÀnds i den undervisning som sker har frÀmst en tematisk profil..

Water constructions - as a design element in public spaces is the title of this Master thesis, with a focus on waters function and meaning in the urban environment. By way of introduction, mans relationship to places is described and the factors that contribute to the reality that we prefer some places more than others. A good place to stay is open but well defined, gives protection, offers a good view and is varying in topography and vegetation, together with contents of single landscape elements like visible water. This study then continues to discuss mans relationship to water and its means for our wellbeing. Despite the fact that people have a different relations to water due to personality, background and age, it?s an element that raises positive feelings, interest and aesthetic pleasure for most people.

Pratbubblan: den röda trÄden : En studie av Karlstads StadsnÀts visuella kommunikation

The purpose of this study is to investigate whether Karlstad City Fiber Network visual elements in the form of a pair of speech bubbles fit into the organization's holistic external communication and branding. The study examines whether Karlstad City Fiber Network image of the organization and the speech bubbles match the stakeholders view and how the visual elements are perceived and recognized by stakeholders. The theory associated with the study is theories of corporate visual identity, image, identity and branding and visual communication. These three elements are important to be aware of when a generation of an effective external communications. Qualitative interviews with employees at Karlstad City Fiber Network and Karlstad municipality has undertaken to give an idea of ??what the organization wants to achieve and what their opinions are.

Att arbeta för att bli attraktiva arbetsgivare : En komparativ studie mellan privata och offentliga organisationer

Denna uppsats handlar om hur privata företag och offentliga organisationer arbetar för att vara attraktiva arbetsgivare. Syftet Àr att undersöka hur de arbetar internt och externt för att se om det finns nÄgra skillnader eller likheter. Den teoretiska referensramen Àr uppbyggd i följande tre delar. Första delen redogör kort om privata och offentliga organisationer för att fÄ en överblick över dess skillnader i rekrytering. This paper aims to study how representations of place and people are used when marketing a tourist destination via travel commercial.

Vilken roll spelar förskoleklassen i vÄrt skolsystem? En studie av lÀroplanerna för förskolan och grundskolan : Med fokus pÄ rÄdande diskurser om barns lÀrande och utveckling

The aim of this essay is to get a view of the contemporary approach to childrenÂŽs learning and how childrenÂŽs learning and development are influenced by the preschool year for six- year olds, by analyzing the Swedish curriculum. What is the purpose of the preschool- year for six year-olds? What does the curriculum say about what children need when entering primary school? I also wish to investigate how through the curriculum common norms and standards, as far as childrenÂŽs learning are concerned, are shown and discussed. My result show that the curriculum does not mention much about the preschool year for six-year-olds at all. It seems that this year in school is not given priority, which makes it difficult for the teachers to work with the children of this age and to know what their assignment is.

The use for wireless communicationsystems within the forestry is among other things to report the production from the forest machines, to supply the machine opera-tors with the right information and for safety. CDMA2000/ 450 is a third generation mobilecommunicationsystem which could replace the old NMT- 450 and for comparatively low costs. The reason for the low costs is that you only have to use the old NMT- 450 masts and supply them with new equipment. In the test of CDMA2000/450, that has taken place in northern Uppland, two kind of files have been sent.

Tyck om Hedemora! : en sociotopundersökning för Hedemora stad

Hedemora is the oldest town in Dalarna; traditionally acting as an important junction for trade. Nowadays, the town is suffering from a declining population and a poor economy. Therefore, it is important to explore how to best spend the money needed for Hedemora to become an attractive city once again. "Sociotops" are public spaces that have been evaluated by their users and by city planners, both working together. The result in the sociotop investigation will be used as a basis for city planning and as a foundation for discussing how to make the town a nicer environment. The sociotop investigation attempts to answer the questions: What places are popular and why? And What places are disliked? I approached the questions by using questionnaires, by arranging public walks in the city and by holding group interviews with children, along with my own observations. The information I have gathered is most detailed for children and youth between the ages of seven and twenty years old.

LÀrande om hÄllbar utveckling i förskolan: FörskollÀrares förstÄelse och arbete med hÄllbar utveckling utifrÄn de tre aspekterna ekonomiskt, socialt och ekologiskt hÄllbar utveckling

Syftet med vÄr studie var att undersöka hur förskollÀrarna pÄ förskolor som har fÄtt utmÀrkelsen Skola för hÄllbar utveckling arbetar med hÄllbar utveckling i förskolan, ta reda pÄ hur förskollÀrares förstÄelse för hÄllbar utveckling ser ut och i vilken mÄn förskollÀrarna i sitt arbete utgÄr frÄn de tre aspekterna ekonomiskt, socialt och ekologiskt hÄllbar utveckling. Vi valde att anvÀnda oss av kvalitativa individuella intervjuer. Vi har intervjuat fem förskollÀrare frÄn tvÄ olika kommuner, varav tre stycken arbetade pÄ samma förskola men pÄ olikaavdelningar. Resultatet av vÄr studie visar bÄde pÄ likheter samt olikheter i förskollÀrarnas arbetssÀtt med hÄllbar utveckling i förskolan, dÀr temainriktat arbete, Ätervinning samt barns delaktighet Àr sÄdant som prÀglar förskolornas arbete. Barns delaktighet och medvetenhet om hÄllbar utveckling lyfts fram av förskollÀrarna som viktiga delar i deras förstÄelse av hÄllbar utveckling.

DjurhushÄllningen i VÀstergarn : en osteoarkeologisk fallstudie av animalt benmaterial frÄn Snauvalds 1:2, VÀstergarn, Gotland

In this Bachelor thesis an animal bone material from VĂ€stergarn parish is analyzed and discussed. The purpose of this thesis is to gain more knowledge about the Viking Age/Early Medieval VĂ€stergarn. VĂ€stergarn has a few remains from former days which have been discussed throughout the years and are still a bit of a mystery for archaeologists. The main focus is to inquire into whether VĂ€stergarn was an urban, complex society or a rural settlement. This will be done by studying the animal husbandry from the property of Snauvalds 1:2.

The aim of this essay has been to study six female seniors use and view of the library and its roles. The two Danish scientists Jochumsen and Rasmussen talk about the library in terms of a social center, cultural center, knowledge center and information center. Depending on what lifestyle the seniors belong to in the social room, they use the library differently. The social room consists of four lifestyles, north-west, north-east, south-west and south-east. The things that are important to consider in order to be able to place each senior within the different lifestyles are education level, economic standard, interests and so forth.

"Kom och hugg oss" : En studie om idrottsklubben AIK:s kommunikation i samband med det uppmÀrksammade hockeyderbyt den 22 december 2010

In December 22, 2010, the hockey clubs AIK and DjurgÄrden played against each other in front of an audience of more than 11 000 people in Ericsson Globe Arena, Stockholm. Although it was one of the biggest games of the year, afterwards no one was talking about the actual game on the ice. The reason; several times during the game, hooligans from both sides started big quarrels and the hockey dome felt more like a war scene than a place for a hockey game. From a branding point of view, and along with similar incidents from the past, the night in December did not create a good situation for AIK and their image.  Therefore, in this essay I want to investigate how AIK communicated through the crisis. I also want to evaluate whether their communication was good or bad from the perspective of different crisis communication theories.The essay?s research questions are:How did media describe the crisis and AIKŽs part in it?What effect did AIKŽs previous history of similar problem have on the ongoing crisis?How did AIK communicate through the crisis?How was AIKŽs image affected by the crisis?What did AIK do well/what could AIK have done better?To be able to answer these questions, several news articles from the sports paper ?Hockeyexpressen? has been analyzed as well as a text from AIK itself.

Syfte: Det förutspÄs en framtida brist pÄ ingenjörer i Sverige och dÀrmed kan en ökadkonkurrens om denna mÄlgrupp förvÀntas. Syftet med denna studie var att identifieravad svenska ingenjörsstudenter anser viktigt i sitt val av framtida arbetsgivare, attundersöka om skillnader finns mellan mÀn och kvinnor samt skillnader beroende pÄstudenternas skattning av sin akademiska prestationsnivÄ. Genom att tillföra kunskapkring vad ingenjörsstudenter söker hos en framtida arbetsgivare kan företag övertrÀffasina konkurrenter i att attrahera, utveckla och behÄlla personer med önskvÀrda talanger.Ytterligare kunskaper kring skillnader mellan de olika grupperna kan möjliggörastrategier utformade utifrÄn vad den specifika mÄlgruppen söker.Teori/Tidigare forskning: UtgÄngspunkt har tagits i teori kring EmployerAttractiveness, en arbetsgivares attraktionskraft, och vad som anses viktigt valet avarbetsgivare. Detta begrepp stÀlls vanligen i förhÄllande till Employer of Choice, enönskvÀrd arbetsgivare, och Employer Branding som innefattar aktiviteterna som företagtillÀmpar för att öka sin attraktionskraft. Tidigare studier har genomförts i olika lÀndermed syftet att undersöka vad studenter anser vara en attraktiv arbetsgivare, dÀrexempelvis karriÀrmöjligheter, utmanande arbetsuppgifter, hög lön och godaarbetsrelationer visats vara viktiga faktorer.
