This essay is about the history of the hearing aid in Sweden, from 1930s until today. The hearing aid as an apparatus is described, and views by the users are presented. Articles and interviews have been used as source material to answer the main questions. In the essay, people who have written the articles, and the ten users being interviewed, describe how hearing aids are used in everyday life, and how users interact with people in general and how the hearing care system treats users. Another question regards how users perceive their own hearing aids from an aesthetic perspective.

Requirements engineering is a widespread topic in the research field of informatics. However, there is little research regarding lack of requirements documentation and how it is perceived. The same applies for how requirements engineering in retrospect can be implemented. This is a debated issue on blogs and forums but it has not been reflected in the research area.Therefore, this study concerns research questions regarding how the developers, testers and requirements analyst experience the lack of requirements documentation and how requirements engineering in retrospect can be implemented.To answer these questions, data collection has been conducted through qualitative interviews with individuals affected by this problem in their everyday work.This study has provided an explanation of how the problem is perceived and what the consequences are, both direct and indirect. The impacts are divided into three categories and are presented as, emotional consequences, system implications and consequences regarding re source consumption.

Within all industries, there is a change in working time required; this also includes the construction sector. However, the way construction sectors are differentiated is by not having been given the opportunity to be practiced or tested.  The aim of this thesis that we have done in collaboration with the Concrete Industry was to investigate the possibility of developing an automated method for quality assurance of SKB at the site. The idea is to make the O-funnel to be more utilized and therefore ensuring that the appropriate concrete quality is provided which eventually would lead to a better development in the production process.The project has involved theoretical work and laboratory experiments. The theoretical work gave us a good foundation at the beginning of the project. After gathering the information and material, the laboratory experiments began by SCC in their laboratory in Hammarby. The collected data from the various laboratory tests formed the foundation for trying to relate measurements for consistency of SCC with each other and therefore find out how measurements from O-funnel varies with different concrete mixtures.

Stump wood was used between 1850 and 1950 for production of tar and as firewood. In the 1950s the use decreased because of the introduction of the cheap fossil oil. In the 1970s stump wood became an interesting issue again as a raw material for the pulp industry. Stump lifting has today become a possible source for bioenergy. The objectives with this study were to investigate the productivity of stump lifting and stump extraction, and to analyse the economy.

Inledning: Att som förälder få ett barn som vid födseln är sjukt eller får en sjukdom strax efter födelsen är traumatiskt och medför stora påfrestningar för föräldrarna. Barnet behöver medicinsk vård och specifik omvårdnad vilket kan medföra att den så viktiga anknytningen mellan främst mor och barn blir fördröjd och försvårad.Syfte: Studiens syfte är att beskriva mödrars upplevelse av att knyta an till sitt barn, när barnet vårdas på en pediatrisk vårdavdelning under nyföddhetsperioden.Metod: Fenomenologisk ansats med kvalitativa intervjuer. Resultat: I studiens resultat framkommer tre huvudteman, att knyta an försvåras av separation, att knyta an genom amning samt att knyta an genom delaktighet. Separationen mellan mor och barn medför att mödrarna upplever att anknytningen försvåras. Utebliven information gör att mödrarna upplever ovisshet, rädsla och att inte ha kontroll.

The aim of this study is to study how sustainability policies are implemented and perceived in the operations of a Swedish fashion company. The fashion industry is affected by strict controls when it comes to transparency and reporting of sustainability efforts. This contributes to a strong focus on sustainability. The theoretical framework revolved around institutional theory where the phenomenas of decoupling and recoupling were central. A qualitative case study was conducted where interviews were the primary source of data.

I hemmanätverk är två vanliga lager antivirus och brandvägg.Den här kandidatuppsatsen undersöker om ett intrångsdetekteringsystem (IDS) är ett bra komplement till säkerheten i ett hemmanätverk.För att hålla systemet så attraktivt som möjligt för hemmanätverket fokuserar man på att hålla priset nere och konfigurationen enkel. Vi valde enkorts-datorn (Raspberry Pi) med programvaran IPFire, som är open-source, där IDS:en Snort ingår och IPFire har ett enkelt gränssnitt för konfiguration.För att mäta hur effektivt systemet fungerar, mäts det hur många hot Snort upptäcker. Mätningar gjordes också för att undersöka om systemet orsakade prestandaförluster i hemmanätverket.Av resultaten drogs slutsatsen att systemet är ett bra komplement till säkerheten i ett hemmanätverk.

The purpose of this examination is to investigate how Judisk Krönika, a periodical which was introduced in 1932 with the aim of disseminating Jewish culture and tradition in Sweden, uses history to make comments about its role in contemporary history, specifically during the first two years of the First Intifada. A second purpose was to examine how this use of history differed from results shown in earlier studies comprising the 1960s and the 2000s. The method in use is qualitative; the source material has been read thoroughly and scrutinized in search of the authors open and hidden messages and intentions. The main finding shows that four major themes could be identified: anti-Semitism(anti-Zionism); memory; ethnonational and media. The most dominant theme during the 1980s, as opposed to the 1960s and the 2000s focus on Zionism and Jewish culture respectively, is memory, that could be described as hegemonic and as a part of a existential use of history, which aims for survival and preservation of the Jewish culture in times of conflict..

Det övergripande syftet med föreliggande uppsats har varit att bidra till en djupare förståelse om självhjälp på Internet genom att belysa individens medvetande och interaktion med andra. Studiens forskningsobjekt har utgjorts av sju individers livsberättelser som återfinns på ett diskussionsforum på Internet och har genomförts enligt en narrativ forskningsmetod och hermeneutiskt ansats. Studien är av kvalitativ art och individens handlande och självupplevda verklighet har stått i fokus. Teorin som applicerats i studien är det pragmatiska mikroperspektivet, symbolisk interaktionism, med följande teoretiska utgångspunkter: symboler, bortträngning, identitetsberövande och ömsesidigt stöd. Analysen är tematiserad enligt studiens tre frågeställningar.

The aim of this study is to find out in which way the education about climate in school is taught and how the students experience the world situation today. There are various theories about the greenhouse effect and its origin and these theories should be addressed to ensure that students get a broader understanding of how climate change occurs. Knowledge is frequently discussed in modern society, and has been since ancient Greece. Our goal is to examine the content of two political documents with the desire to point out their visions about how the Swedish school system should be shaped, in relations to knowledge. This essay is a discourse analysis of the integration politics of the different parties in the Swedish parliament and the non-parliamentary party ?the Swedish Democrats?, as it is presented on their respective web pages. The overall purpose is to problematize and shed a light on how the current discourse(s) about integration are constituted.
