Denna uppsats ger ett bidrag till frågeställningen runt hur en obemannad undervattensfarkost (UUV) kan ge operationsfördelar för en konventionell ubåt. Uppsatsen grundar sig på en analys av den amerikanska flottans UUV-planer samt en operativ kommersiell undervattensfarkost (HUGIN) från företaget Kongsberg i Norge. Syfte är att identifiera lämpliga förmågor, samt undersöka möjliga operationsfördelar med att applicera dessa på en svensk ubåt inom insatsförsvaret.Metodmässigt bygger uppsatsen på en jämförelseanalys mellan en konventionell ubåt som är utrustad med dessa UUV-förmågor och en utan, för att därmed klargöra operationsfördelar. Resultatet av den genomförda analysen med fokus på det internationella uppdraget ger att den slutliga helhetsjämförelse visar att UUV-förmågor som förbättrar ubåtens spaningsförmåga är de mest lämpliga att implementera. Denna inkluderar förbättrad lägesbild med framskjuten sensor, karteringsmöjligheter medförande bottennavigeringsmöjlighet, en bättre planering och utnyttjande av sensorer och vapen.

The purpose of our study is to get an idea of how the media relates to the extremist groupings. On a traditional political scale, ranging from left to right, our study focuses on the Swedish extremists who figure on the outskirts of this scale; The ones who denounce the current system and opt for violence to change it.Violence is often an instrument used to get extreme political ideals in the public eye, and is seen as a threat to the Swedish democracy and the public in general. Both sides argue that the Swedish press is tendentious and treat the various extremist groups differently, airing their distrust for the media as a propaganda tool for these groups to establish themselves in the public debate.Our study consists of a quantitative content analysis where we study articles published in print by seven major Swedish newspapers.

Background: Fall injuries are a costly problem for society, with costs ranging up to 14 billion a year. In addition to economic loss accidental falls also creates human value losses and reduced quality of life for its victims. In order to prevent the occurrence of injury related to accidental falls healthcare providers utilize various scientifically developed risk assessment tools, one of them being Downton Fall Risk Index. Method: Empirical, quantitative cross-sectional study. Objective: The purpose of the extended essay was to describe the categories in Downton Fall Risk Index that have a bearing on patients' risk of falling while in hospital and in municipal care, and to illustrate how nurses can use the fall risk assessment tool.

This thesis for the Master of Science degree was performed at Oppunda Electronics AB. The assignment was to further develop an existing prototype of a dispensing equipment. The dispensing equipment doses a kind of glue, bonding which dentist use to mend teeth. The dispensing equipment is adjusted to dose 12 micro litres of bonding. With the dispensing equipment SafeBond Electronic the user can reduce the bonding consumption with approximately 50 percent.

På grund av sensordrift måste kalibreringen upprepas för infraröda sensorer under utdragna fältmätningar om kraven på noggrannhet är höga, vilket gör att kalibreringen blir mer komplex. Ännu svårare blir kalibreringen om mätningar görs i flera spektralband (multispektrala mätningar), om spektralbanden spänner över ett stort spektralområde eller om målobjektens strålnivåer varierar mycket. Detta medför dels att kalibreringen tar mer tid och dels att flera eller mer komplexa referensstrålkällor krävs. Syftet med arbetet var att studera problematiken i sådana kalibreringar och se om kalibreringen kunde göras enklare och robustare.

During the year 2014, Artex AB has worked to launch a new product whose function is to locally purify the air. The product is a headboard and its purpose is to give the user clean air while sleeping. The air purifier has different speeds and it`s up to the user to choose which effect that will be on. The main part of this work aims to create andverify a solution that can control the starter motor, as well as protect it incase of any failure. The different malfunctions that the solution protectsagainst is high current, too high peak current, low current, maximum cranktime and minimum cool off time. The timers also protect indirectly againstoverheating of the starter engine.The transistors used are BTS555, from Infineon.

Carbon sequestration through restoration of degraded pastoral soils is an advocated way of mitigating global warming, and simultaneously alleviating poverty. An often proposed rehabilitation strategy is fencing of pastures, a method that was introduced to the farmers of Chepareria by the Vi-Agroforestry organization in 1987. The landscape of Chepareria changed from eroded, over-grazed grasslands, to a mixture of open-grazed commons, pastoral enclosures and cultivations. The aim of this study was to investigate (1) if the soil organic carbon (SOC) is higher inside the enclosures than on the open-grazed commons, (2) if SOC is affected by duration of fencing and (3) what effect cultivation of pastures has on the SOC. Estimations of vegetation cover and deep profile (100cm) soil sampling was performed on six clusters containing; (1) open-grazing (OG) (2) 1-5 years of fencing (FENCED(1)), (3) 7-10 years of fencing (FENCED(2)), (4) 15-23 years of fencing (FENCED(3)), (5) maize from OG (A(OG)), (6) maize from fenced pasture (A(FENCED)).
