Företagsbibliotekariers identitet, kompetens och professionsutveckling : Exemplet Astra Zeneca
The purpose of this thesis is to examine the identity, competences and professional development of corporate librarians. I have done an empirical study based on semi structured interviews with 11 information professionals who were working at Astra Zeneca at the time of the re-organizations of the company in 2009 which ultimately led to the closing of the libraries. I have also examined the views on competences and professional development of librarians in general, both in Sweden and in Denmark. I have used Thomas Brante?s theories on profession types as well as Anders Ărom?s theories on librarian identities as my theoretical framework.
Den eviga debatten? : om naturalism eller formalism som förhÄllningssÀtt inom svensk landskapsarkitektur
In this essay, I explore the history of the ideas that have shaped the profession of landscape architecture, in a Swedish context. To this purpose, I have sampled the professional debate on landscape architecture at four points in time. These are the years around 1890, 1930, 1970 and 2010.
Drawing on G N Brandt (1920), I make the distinction between two arguably crucial approaches, i . e., naturalism and formalism. By identifying these perspectives, and by dividing the arguments of each time period according to this classification, I am able to compare the course of the debate over time.
I take on the task through hermeneutics.
Skolbibliotekariers yrkesidentiteter: En diskursanalys
The aim of this Masters thesis is to identify discourses within the school library field and to analyse which professional identities the discourses result in for school librarians. The empirical data consist of 71 articles from Swedish journals concerning school libraries and school librarians, between the years 2000-2003. The theory and method used is a discourse analysis which is inspired by Ernesto Laclau and Chantal Mouffe. This form of discourse analysis was chosen since it was useful when identity was the focus of study. The analysis is accomplished in three steps.
NedlĂ€ggning av folkbibliotek : Ăr ideellt idealt?
This study examines the closure of public libraries, and the nonprofit organizations takeover of them as a phenomenon. The aim is to understand why the nonprofit takeover is common and what the takeover symbolizes and if the discourse in media invokes the views on libraries and the profession.Interviews were made with librarians, politicians and representatives of a nonprofit organization to study different sides of the phenomenon. Other empirical data were found in local and national newspapers and media-channels. I discovered that public libraries are highly valued by both politicians and the community. The study also showed that a library in a community makes people feel valued.
Konsultbranschens hunger efter egenskaper - En studie av tre konsultbranschers rekryteringsprocesser och sökta egenskaper
Consultancy as a profession has always been a debated topic and has constantly been surrounded with a kind of secrecy. People have a hard time defining what consultants actually do and how they do it. It seems that they are simply waving their magic wands, performing wonders. We have therefore decided that the purpose of this study is to unveil the secrecy around the profession. By conducting interviews and analysing literature we have examined recruitment processes in three different consulting industries and their wanted personal characteristics.

Syftet med undersökningen Àr att diskutera synen pÄ lÀraryrkets status, genom att ta reda pÄ vilka faktorer som kan pÄverka ett yrkes status. För att kunna analysera den empiri som samlades in kommer Gunnel Colnerud och Kjell Granströms teorier om ett professionellt yrke att diskuteras. Ulfsdotter Erikssons avhandlig om bland annat yrkesstatus och Gerhard Arfwedsons teorier om lÀrarlöner och kvinnodominans inom lÀraryrket kommer ocksÄ att behandlas. Andy Hargreaves teorier anvÀnds för att diskutera de statusskillnader som redan i skolan prÀglar eleverna och de fungerar Àven som ett komplement till Arfwedsons teorier. Undersökningen genomfördes med hjÀlp av en kvantitativ metod, i form av enkÀter.

Sjuksköterskans yrkesroll och patientrollen i ett historiskt perspektiv : En kvalitativ intervjustudie
Aim: The aim of this qualitative interview study was to describe the nurse's professional role and the role as a patient during different time periods. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, where respondents had a link to the nursing profession, either as a student, now working nurse or retired nurse. Method: The data were analyzed using a content analysis. Result: The older nurses believe that nurses today has a high status and is seen as a well-read and well informed person. Most respondents believe that collaboration between nurses and doctors has improved since past.
Ledarskap i musik och idrott : Skillnader och likheter i ledning och utveckling av grupper
Scientific studies show that good leadership is a key factor for group- and individual development. Studies have also shown that the contrary can curb talented individuals and/or cause stagnation, or even cause groups to halt their progression. This essay studies how leaders in musical and athletic environments look on their own leadership. In interviews, the leaders reflect upon experienced issues related to their profession, their views on difficulties in their leading role, as well as individual, and group development. This study also includes two observations, one in each field of profession.
SÄ mycket mer Àn ett sÄr. Om att leva med venöst bensÄr.
Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att lyfta fram hur vardagen upplevs, och vad som pÄverkar den, av patienter med svÄrlÀkande venöst bensÄr. Elva vetenskapliga artiklar granskades och kvalitetsbedömdes enligt givna kriterier. DÀrefter inleddes den strukturella analysen dÀr tre huvudteman framtrÀdde. Carnevalis balansmodell anvÀndes som teoretisk referensram. De tre teman som Äterfanns var: relationen mellan patient och profession; fysiska, psykiska och sociala konsekvenser av att leva med svÄrlÀkande venöst bensÄr, samt förestÀllningar och kunskap.

This essay is about the meeting of the pedagogic mission and the reality of the conditions in preschools. It is about the frustrations that I, as a pedagogue, experience when I cannot fulfill this mission. An example of this is working when understaffed.My purpose is the acknowledgment of two main areas of the curriculum: caring and learning. School development based on the experience of a few teachers from Swedish Upper Secondary Schools
Vilka möjligheter har lÀrare att pÄverka inriktningen pÄ utvecklingsarbetet pÄ den egna skolan? Hur identifieras utvecklingsbehoven och av vem? Vilka verktyg förfogar lÀrarna över för att utveckla skolan?
Syftet med studien Àr att ta reda pÄ den syn nÄgra lÀrare pÄ gymnasiet har pÄ sin roll i skolutvecklingsarbetet. Syftet Àr ocksÄ att ta reda pÄ om det finns nÄgra gemensamma mönster i lÀrarnas sÀtt att resonera kring skolutveckling och sina möjligheter att pÄverka.
I arbetet ges en bakgrund och nÄgra teoretiska utgÄngspunkter kring skolframgÄng, skolan som lÀrande organisation, skolutveckling, profession och ledarskap. Intervjuer med lÀrare pÄ tvÄ gymnasieskolor i en skÄnsk kommun har genomförts.
Det Àr i mötet med eleverna som utvecklingsbehoven identifieras och de viktigaste verktygen för utveckling Àr egen reflektion och dialog med kollegor samt fortbildning.

The preschool should lay the foundations for lifelong learning in a good educational activity. Preschool curriculum is designed to enhance the quality of the educational activities. To translate the curriculum in business, the importance of early childhood special education knowledge. With regard to the completion of theoretical knowledge requires the ability to translate theory into real action. Professionalism is essential to anchor the curriculum in daily operations.The study's purpose was to investigate preschool teachers' perception of professionalism and how the implementation of the preschool curriculum in their daily business functions.The study was an interview with four pre-school professionals with the spread in age and experience.

Syftet med vÄr studie Àr att undersöka hur Riksdagens beslut som lyder som följande, att 30 minuter om dagen i skolan skall bestÄ av nÄgon form av rörelse utöver Àmnet idrott och hÀlsa. Detta gör vi med hjÀlp av lÀrare i Àmnet idrott och hÀlsa. Friskis & Svettis har för ÀndamÄlet tagit fram en produkt som heter Röris, som utbildar lÀrare i grundskolans tidigare Är och ger dem material för att fylla ut dessa 30 minuter. Regeringen och Friskis & Svettis har samma mÄl-sÀttning till de 30 minuternas innehÄll, men det Àr till viss del samma som stÄr i kursplanen för Àmnet idrott och hÀlsa. Vi har gjort en studie om och kring professionen hos lÀrare i Àmnet idrott och hÀlsa.

The aim of this Masters thesis is to examine the role of librarian in order to illustrate how the librarians work, how their competence and education have changed and developed during the last decade, and ultimately to see what the role of librarian looks like in the 21^st century. After describing the librarians work, competence and education in the 21^st century, we discuss whether or not the changes that have arisen during the last decennium have affected the possibilities for librarianship to develop into an accepted profession. The method of investigation is a qualitative analysis of printed sources. As a basis of the discussion and analysis Andrew Abbotts theory of professions is used. We also use Per Tengblads analysis model, which includes six important steps in analysing the professionalism of an occupation.
