The purpose of this essay was to examine how childless homosexuals (men and women) were looking at family formation and parenthood. The essential questions were how the homosexuals felt about their own parenthood in the future and about different family constellations. We also wanted to examine how they experienced reactions from the society and what they thought about the current Swedish laws in force of adoption and insemination.We have chosen to work with a qualitative method and interviewed nine childless homosexual men and women in the age between 21 - 39 years to get some answers about the questions above.The main result from the interviews was that the homosexuals had the same thoughts like any other future parent but with a more complicated engagement. Even though they some times felt a resistance in the society against homosexual parenthood it was not a thing that would stop them from getting children..

The material consists of twelve interviews with teenagers in the age of 16 - 18. Sports mean a lot to the teenagers in our study and they don't approve of doping in any way. Many of the teenagers asked for more information about doping.

The purpose of this two years master´s thesis in Archive, Library and Information Museum science is to examine the ideas about children and childhood which have an influence on the storytime at public libraries. The material on which this thesis is based, is a methodbook which is aimed to develop the storytimes and those picture books that are recommend in the methodbook. The theoretical points of departure are discourse analysis and childhood Sociology. The concepts of being and becoming are frequently used when analyzing the methodbook. Other theoretical points of departure are the combination of narratologi, semiotics and hermeneutics, which are also used when analyzing the picture books.The result indicates that the storytime, recommended in the methodbook, is based on the idea of a timeless culture of childhood - where the "modern child" including the media used today - is left out. Concepts as nostalgia and pedagogy are tightly connected.

The object of this essay was about youth's experiences of their possibility of consumption. We also wanted to analyze if their possibility of consumption had a connection with their experience of happiness. Another part of the object was to see if there where any differences between girls and boys concerning the questions above. One of the issues we had was if the youth's money was enough for their needs of consumption. The method we used were a questionnaire, which we asked a class of 22 pupils to fill in.

Arbetslösheten är ett stort problem i dagens samhälle både för samhället och för flertalet av dem som hamnar utanför arbetsmarknaden. Det finns både fördomar och myter om hur de arbetslösas situation ser ut och hur denna grupp upplever sin situation. Forskning visar på att de arbetslösas upplevelser påverkas starkt av ekonomisk påfrestning och skamgörande erfarenheter bland flera andra påverkande faktorer.Syftet i studien är att undersöka hur ett antal arbetslösa ungdomar upplever sin situation och vilka konsekvenser arbetslösheten har för dem. Dessutom har studien som syfte att skapa en inblick i och förståelse för vad det är som gör att arbetslösa ungdomar upplever sin situation så olika ifrån individ till individ.Genom en kvalitativ studie med en explorativ ansats har fem arbetslösa ungdomar mellan 22-30 år blivit intervjuade. Dessa intervjuer har med hjälp av sociologiska utgångspunkter så som Jahodas teori om manifesta och latenta funktioner av arbetet, Ezzys tre huvudtyper av reaktioner på arbetslöshet samt Starrins ekonomi-skam modell skapat en större förståelse för de arbetslösa ungdomarnas upplevda konsekvenser av utanförskapet på arbetsmarknaden och hur det kommer sig att arbetslöshetens konsekvenser upplevs olika från individ till individ.

Our study describes how much influence and importance Zlatan Ibrahimovic has on a part of Malmö called Rosengård where he himself grew up. We made interviews with 16 children in the ages of six to ten. The theoretic views applied in this study come from Robert Connell?s Notions of masculinity and William Corsaro?s Sociology of childhood. The questions we answer in this study are; if Zlatan has any influence on the children in Rosengård? How do children and media look at Zlatan and the myth that surrounds him? How does the picture of Zlatan Ibrahimovic get constructed amongst the children? How does hegemonic masculinity present itself amongst the peer-cultures of the children in Rosengård? Our study shows that Zlatan has no influence amongst the children we interviewed.

As a school welfare officer you are often alone of having your perspective and must struggle to preserve that perspective. At the same time, there are very little defined what role a social worker should have in a school. This makes it nessesary to form and develop your role of profession independently. According to the Swedish school law, the schools are not required to employ a welfare officer. This makes the school welfare officer inferior to the other branches of occupation in school.

The following essay examines the conditions of whether a child perspective is recognised in the second authority of the new Swedish asylum process, the Migration Court of Law and inquire into the viewpoint of these decision makers as to what a child perspective in this context represents.The method used was a qualitative study that contained interviews with eight respondents, divided into four judges and four jurors. The material gained from the respondents was then analysed by using theories regarding a child perspective and theories that deal with interpretation of a text, ethics and court Sociology.A few conditions of whether a child perspective is recognised has been revealed and we also found that the child perspective in theory is a wide perspective, that includes many aspects of how a child is recognised. In practice, however, the child perspective can be divided into two separate perspectives where one of them involves an adults view of a child?s perspective, and the other involves the perspective of a child, the child?s own view of its existence and perceived reality..

Vid en anblick på dagens arbetsmarknad är det inte svårt att bilda sig uppfattningen av att långsiktighet och fasta företagsstrukturer har ersatts av en kortsiktighet och lösare företagsstrukturer. I denna studie ställs frågan om dagens ambivalenta arbetsmarknad skapar en känsla av oro bland anställda som i sin tur leder till en ökad pliktkänsla inför arbetet. Fem stycken kvalitativa, semistrukturerade intervjuer genomfördes kring detta problemområde. Syftet med dessa intervjuer var att skaffa fram ett empiriskt material kring frågeställningen, som sedan kunde analyseras. Resultatet av denna analys kom dock att dementera den ursprungliga frågeställningen.

Syftet med denna uppsats har varit att undersöka vad högskolestudenter har för matvanor och kroppsuppfattning. Resultatet grundar sig på enkätsvar som delades ut till 48 studenter vid en högskola i södra Sverige, 24 kvinnor och 24 män. Tre grupper utformades: Ekonomutbildning, Lärarutbildning och Hälsa/ vårdutbildning. Resultatet visar att det att 44 av de 48 deltagarna anser sig ha bra självkänsla men majoriteten ansåg att skolarbetet påverkade självkänslan. Många kände sig även stressade inför tentor vilket för en del fick följden att de slarvade med maten.

The purpose of this study was to illustrate how children of the "digital generation" used their computers in their everyday practice. The important in the study was children's perspective on computers interactions and communications in a digital arena.An essential item about understanding children's way to think about computers was to let children themselves speak by taking part in the study, because children's voices are seldom heard in public. The empirical material used was interviews with sex children between 13 and 15 years old. My method was qualitative.The main results showed that social relations are very important for children. The Internet gives children access to an arena where they are able to make new contacts with others as well as transcend their biological as their physical identity.An important accepts for the children in the study was the option to be anonymous.
