Syfte och frågeställningar: Det övergripande syftet med denna studie var att undersöka hur ungdomar pratar om identitet, status och utanförskap ställt i relation till fritid och idrott som identitetsskapande arenor. För att besvara detta syfte utgick vi från följande frågeställningar; Hur pratar ungdomar om identitet, status och utanförskap? På vilket sätt påverkar fritid och idrott ungdomars identitetsskapande? Vad får utanförskap och status för inverkan på ett identitetsskapande?Metod: Studien utformades abduktivt och baserades på en kvalitativ metod. Empirin samlades in genom tre halvstrukturerade fokusgruppsintervjuer med ungdomar över 15 år och själva urvalet baserades på en blandning av kvot- och snöbollsurval. Själva studien utgick från tre centrala begrepp (identitet, status och utanförskap) som diskuterades och ställdes i relation till varandra.

Sharia or western equality?womenin Egyptian legislationThe Islamic law (Sharia) in most of the countries in Middle East and North Africa has been the basis for modern laws which regulate issues such as marriage, divorce and inheritance. These laws (personal status law or family law) have been debated frequently in the last decades.There are those who consider personal status law (PSL) as unjust, male-biased and discriminating against women especially in the issue of divorce. On the other hand there are voices who call to go back to the Sharia, because muslims has to follow the islamic law and its values, they are universal as they claim. In this essay I try to enlighten these two points of view which can be found in the debate in Egypt.

The aim of this study was to describe the mental and social causes to obesity among children and adolescents, their consequences and what preventive interventions that are used. The method used by the authors was to search for scientific articles in the database Medline, using the keywords: obesity, overweight, child, body image, social, family, school, depression, nursing, quality of life, social support, prevention and support. The study was performed as a literature review, with a descriptive design, and the result contained 22 scientific articles. The main result of this study showed that obesity among children and adolescents is not only an individual problem, it affects the whole family. The main causes to obesity among children and adolescents are the Socioeconomic status of the family, their lifestyle, and even gender to a certain degree.

The purpose of this study was to enlighten the views of male social work students on; the social work profession, social work status and their career options. Also, the study aimed at getting these students angles of approach on the fact that they, being men, are a minority group within the profession of social work. Some of the main questions were: Why does not social work as a profession seem to attract men? What about the status of the profession of social work? What were the thoughts of male social work students about this? What advantages or disadvantages did they recognise, being a minority in the profession? The method used in this study was doing separate interviews. All of the interviewed students were convinced that they had a better chance of getting a job.

This study examines patterns of consumption during the 1780s in Öjaby and Virestad parishes. I have examined the clothes and jewelry in estate inventories using the concept of status. Then I have used Pierre Bourdieu's theories to understand fashion mechanisms.I have identified five different groups, each distinguished by their formal wear. Men have similar clothes but in Virestad they have more items and more silver. Four people were divergent, they choose other materials and models.

I have worked with Bergum in different courses on the IntegratedConservation of Built Environments program and I thought it was a veryinteresting subject. This is the main reason why I chosen to write mybachelor paper about Bergum.In 1650s Bergum was situated on the border between Sweden and Norway,because of that it occurred some war conflicts.Today Bergum is a socioeconomic border and is situated in an areabetween the city?s concrete suburb and the countryside.The difference between the city?s concrete suburb and the countryside mayfeel like two different worlds, were the social contact is fractional.With this paper, I will indicate a countryside area on the boundary to the citythrough time and try to survey the building history. I will also try todemonstrate the socioeconomic differences between the areas.I will demonstrate Bergum history from prehistory to present time, were I willdiscuss the agriculture history, Vättlefjäll?s forest history and also thedeforestation and replanting.

I denna uppsats genomförs en studie av HR-funktionen under en organisationsförändring. Syftet med föreliggande uppsats är att undersöka HR- funktionens ansvar, roll och status på ett kommunalt bolag. Vidare syftar uppsatsentill att se om HR-funktionens uppdrag förändras i ett förändringsarbete och i så fall på vilket sätt.Teori och tidigare forskning som tillämpas i denna studie berör ansvarsfördelning, HR-funktionens roll och status. Även teori och tidigare forskning kring organisationsförändring används för att få en förståelse för kontexten.Studien genomfördes på Renova AB med fyra HR-ansvariga, två chefer och enfacklig representant. Kvalitativa intervjuer och organisationsanalyser genomfördes för att få en inblick i hur väl chefer och fack känner till HR-funktionens ansvarsområden samt hur kommunikationen sker i organisationen.

 ABSTRACTThis master thesis defines a new concept ? Math Videos on the Net. The term refers to short,educational videos of mathematics that are freely available on the internet. The videos aredesigned to offer a complement to other course material for a specific element of a specific mathcourse and are directed to the target group of students studying the latter. Within this work, MathVideos on the Net have been created for the Swedish upper secondary school courses Matematik1b and 1c.The study aims to describe, analyze and interpret whether, and if so, how Math Videos on theNet can help support the work of teachers and students? development of knowledge in the firstmathematics course of the Swedish upper secondary school.

I vårt samhälle skiljer sig uppväxtvillkoren för barn och ungdomar mycket åt. Socioekonomiska förutsättningar påverkar barns liv och deras idrottsvanor. Syftet med vår studie är att belysa på vilket sätt elever från två olika klasser och områden med olika social status, har för förhållningssätt till idrotten på fritiden kopplat till skolämnet Idrott och hälsa. Undersökningen genomfördes som två olika fallstudier. Vi valde att undersöka en skola i varje område.

Status handlar om en persons position i en hierarki inom en viss grupp. Det är inte en egenskap utan något som uppstår i relationen mellan människor. Syftet med denna studie var att kartlägga eventuella skillnader vad gäller hur människor attribuerar kvinnors och mäns statusbeteende. Med hjälp av en egenframtagen enkät samlades data in från 57 studenter vid Psykologiska institutionen, Stockholms universitet. Data analyserades med hjälp av en variansanalys.

Gotland is famous around the world for its unique nature. The agriculture here has always been an important source of income and part of the identity of the island. But today the profession has low status and hard to survive. How can the interest for farming be increased?Gotlandsgården is an investigation about how the agriculture could develop.

The aim of this bachelor?s thesis is to develop knowledge about how librarians experience their professional identity, argue for their competence and describe their profession based on their professional skills, tasks, and status. The method that is used to answer the questions of the study is semi-structured interviews with five public librarians. The theory used in this essay is Ørom?s six librarian identities plus Schreiber?s experience intermediate identity.

In this study the practical work with the EU Water Framework starts on the island of Gotland. 33 lakes and 32 streams have been characterized and classified regarding to their ecological status. The aim with the characterisation is to create a uniform discription of all waterbodies and a comparable estimation for the future. The aim with the classification is both to study the waterbodies ecological status and to gain knowledge of where the resources should be concentrated so that the ecological status in all waterbodies will be good in 2015.The characterisation has been done according to the EU Water Framework Directive, and the factors that have been applied are the mean depth and area of the lake. The length and size on the catchment area are the factors that have been used on streams.

Forskning har visat att många skolbarn lider av psykisk ohälsa och att ohälsa påverkas av socioekonomisk status och etnisk tillhörighet. Studiens syfte var att undersöka om gruppbehandling med medveten närvaro kan minska skolbarns oro, ångest och nedstämdhet i ett område med låg socioekonomisk status och etnisk mångfald. Aktiv behandling jämfördes med kontrollbehandling (avslappningsövningar). 50 skolbarn i åk 3 deltog. Behandlingen omfattade 12 sessioner á 30 minuter under sex veckor.
