Syftet med studien är att lyfta fram sociala kompetenser som förskollärare vill ha hos förskolebarn, till exempel att barn ska ta hänsyn till varandra och visa empati samt kunna vänta på sin tur och vilken roll förskolan har i barns sociala utveckling. Dessutom kommer förskollärarna att berätta om arbetssätt för att främja barns sociala kompetens. I bakgrundkapitlet kommer olika beskrivningar om vad social kompetens är enligt olika forskare, lekens betydelse för att utveckla den sociala kompetensen hos förskolebarn och sambandet mellan språkutveckling och social kompetens hos förskolebarn. Metoden består av lågstrukturerade kvalitativa intervjuer med förskollärare. I resultatet syns förskollärarnas resonemang kring socialkompetens och deras arbetssätt med barnen i förskolan.

The focus of this research is to investigate how the client's emotions can affect the social worker and how the social worker manages these feelings in order to make the right decisions. We have used a qualitative approach in our investigation. We have interviewed six social workers at social welfare bureaux in southern Sweden. Our theories are ?Nai?ve Theory? and ?Affect Theory?.

Detta go?rs genom att ja?mfo?ra elever i a?rskurs 8 som under la?g- och mellanstadiet hela tiden ga?tt i a?ldersindelade klasser (n=423), elever som ga?tt i a?ldersblandade klasser i la?gstadiet men inte pa? mellanstadiet (n=22), samt elever som ga?tt i a?ldersblandade klasser ba?de under la?g- och mellanstadiet (n=30).

Uganda är ett av världens fattigaste länder i dag. Med en kraftigt utbredd fattigdom som försvåras av att landet har en bristande demokrati, vilket har lett till utbredd korruption i landet. Vilkoren för att skapa social välfärd och att bedriva socialt arbete är begränsat. Jag har i detta arbete valt att undersöka hur ett antal personer i Uganda med socialt arbete som specialitet, hur de ser på social välfärd i Uganda. Vilka hinder finns och hur ska man kunna bygga upp social välfärd som inkluderar hela befolkningen, var några av frågorna jag ställde mig.

Forskningen är omfattande angående lekens positiva värde för yngre barns utveckling och för inlärning. Med utgångspunkt i detta har vi undersökt lekens betydelse och funktion i undervisningen för äldre barn, elever i skolår 4-6. Denna studie syftar till att få en inblick i olika undervisningssammanhang som lek kan inrymmas i. Den syftar också till att undersöka vilket värde och utrymme leken ges i skolans undervisning i takt med elevernas stigande ålder. Studien utgår från ett sociokulturellt perspektiv där lärande och utveckling bygger på samspelet mellan individer i en social kontext.

The purpose of this study was to examine how social work professionals view their professional role and how they think about the concept of social work. I also wanted to investigate what they believe characterize a professional social work. For the purposes of this study, I chose a qualitative approach in which I interviewed five people linked to the social work. The theories which I have assumed in the analysis of the results are power theory, organization theory and professional theory. The results of this study show that the respondents believe that a professional social work is performed by someone who has training and experience in the field.

Social sustainability is often regarded as a solution to social problems in general. In this study, on the contrary, social sustainability is conceived as a socially constructed concept and the result of a certain way of looking at the world, the human being and the ideal society. The study centers around Kinda municipality in the southern region of Östergötland and a few of its elder inhabitants. What meaning and substance social sustainability is contained with as well as the effects that are produced by these conceptualizations is explored and analyzed. Also, the study examines the encounter between political policy?s and judgments on the one hand and the experiences and preferences held by the municipality?s elder inhabitants on the other..

Hållbar utveckling är ett begrepp som idag kan hittas i flertalet styrdokument för skolan i Sverige. Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka hur hållbar utveckling tillämpas i undervisningen samt lärares attityder till att tillämpa hållbar utveckling i sin undervisning. Läroplanen är fri att tolka när det gäller hållbar utveckling vilket ger lärarna frihet att tillämpa hållbar utveckling i undervisningen efter egen tolkning. Vi vill i denna studie undersöka lärares attityder till hållbar utveckling i sin undervisning. Studien bygger på kvalitativa intervjuer av fem lärare i grundskolans senare år och forskningsområdet för studien är Malmö.

Syftet med vår studie var att studera hur pedagoger i förskolan förhåller sig till lärande för hållbar utveckling. Studien är genomförd med hjälp av kvalitativa intervjuer med sex förskollärare på olika förskolor i en och samma kommun. I resultatet framkom det att förskollärarna har ett gemensamt förhållningssätt mot lärande för hållbar utveckling, men fokuset kan skilja sig mellan pedagogerna. The purpose of this research is to examine some historical aspects of Robert Putnam?s thesisabout voluntary associations and social capital. According to a micro perspective theory ofsocial capital the trust and reciprocity required and created by associations is important toexplain the disparity between institutional performance and socioeconomic development ofsocieties. The social patterns governing this therefore set a precedent for the future. Using themutual sickness benefit societies in Sweden as variable for voluntary associations around1884, the essay discusses the possible links between social capital, associations and long termeconomic development.

This study investigates the effects that commercial computer games have on young individuals social comfort and learning progress. As a systematic study of literature, scholarly articles have been analysed in order to illuminate the positive as well as negative effects on social comfort and learning progress that may come with playing computer games. The social effects have mainly been discussed with role-playing games, such as World of Warcraft, as starting point, while the learning effects have been coupled with strategy games, such as Civilization IV. The study does not simply declare how these games can be good for these factors, but also in what respect computer games may prevent the development of young individuals socials skills and learning progress. The study showed that in spite of perpetual prejudices against computer games in the technological age, computer games might actually be good to use as a tool in order to authorize the development of young individuals regarding learning and social aspects.

The purpose of this study was to enlighten the views of male social work students on; the social work profession, social work status and their career options. Also, the study aimed at getting these students angles of approach on the fact that they, being men, are a minority group within the profession of social work. Some of the main questions were: Why does not social work as a profession seem to attract men? What about the status of the profession of social work? What were the thoughts of male social work students about this? What advantages or disadvantages did they recognise, being a minority in the profession? The method used in this study was doing separate interviews. All of the interviewed students were convinced that they had a better chance of getting a job.

In Sweden the social assistance from a historical perspective, has been a part of the social legislation, since the 18th century. In that time called poor relief. Through the centuries this has established the social assistance we have today. With focus on the child, we have attempted to illustrate how the social workers consider the child perspective when they are dealing with the social assistance. We wanted to get a view of how the social worker reasons about needs the children have and how they can see that the benefit has been provided for.

The aim of this study was to enlighten social workers experiences of social networks direct influence in Swedish social services, and in which ways those influences are manifested. Some of the issues that are being explored in this study are: The separation of the private sphere and professional duties; boundaries and dual relationships that occurs inside social networks; the use of social networks as a control-instrument in authority exercise towards clients; and social networks arising impact on social work. The empirical material was collected with nine qualitative interviews with social workers stationed at different social service departments in a Swedish municipality. Also one qualitative e-survey was sent out to, and answered by four social workers with a managerial position in the same municipality.The results reveal that several informants have experienced different problematic situations involving clients within the social networks. This study shows that the informants are very restrictive with what information (text and pictures) they publish on their facebook-profiles, because of their position of authority and the awareness of the possibility of always being watched.

Today, social media is used mostly by people in their private life. However, companies are more and more tapping into the area of social media. To this date, mostly B2C companies have been successful in their social media strategies. This qualitative thesis aims to investigate how B2B companies can benefit from using social media as a means to communicate and build relations with their customers. The medtech industry has been chosen as the object of study.Through depth interviews with people in the medtech industry and social media experts, data has been collected in order to answer the questions of (1) how ready customers in the medtech industry are to receive information through social media and (2) how companies can build the best possible social media strategy.
