Social competence is an effective weapon at all costs on today?s market. In many job ads we can see the words to be socially competent. In our report we have studied the subject?s social competence, relations, relationship marketing and personal networks and looked to the connection these subjects have to one another.

För personer med funktionsnedsättning har vardagen förändrats väldigt genom tiderna. Från att förr ha blivit kallad alla möjliga misskrediterande glåpord och haft begränsade rättigheter har personer med funktionsnedsättningar i senare tids handikappolitik helt andra rättigheter där de skall ha möjlighet att leva som andra och få ett bättre bemötande. Vi har i denna studie undersökt två kvällstidningar, Expressen och Aftonbladet, med syfte att studera hur man använder termen rullstolsburen i sina artiklar och hur detta användande blir till ett stigma för personer med funktionsnedsättning. Vi valde ut dessa två tidningar eftersom de konsumeras över hela landet och är de största av de kvällstidningar som produceras och därmed har flest läsare som påverkas av artiklarna. För att begränsa oss och även för att påvisa antalet artiklar av detta slag som publicerades under en viss tidsperiod, är materialet som användes från april 2009 och tre år tillbaka i tiden. Denna sökning resulterade i att vi använde 81 st artiklar till studien. Med hjälp av den kritiska diskursanalysen har vi analyserat språkbruket i dessa artiklar och utforskat sammanhanget i vilka man använder termen rullstolsburen.

In the last couple of years changes in the legal systems treatment of young offenders has given the social worker more legal responsibility. In view of this, our purpose with this study was to examine how social workers and prosecutors apprehend the role of the social worker during the legal process. The study was delimited to look into the handling of young offenders between the ages of 15 and 18 years old. The questions we intended to look at were: How do the social workers reason when trying to see the need of a child within a legal context; Do prosecutors and social workers experience that they have different approaches when looking at young offenders, as a consequence of their different professions; What is the opinion among social workers considering the duty of the social services to administrate community service for young offenders; How do the social workers argue when determining whether or not a young offender has a "special need for care". These questions were answered through empirical studies where six social workers and two prosecutors were interviewed.

En empirisk undersökning av lärares uppfattning av begreppet social kompetens med syftet att synliggöra lärares uppfattningar av social kompetesn smat hur de arbetar med social kompetens i skolan. Uppsatsen tydliggör också vilka faktorer som är viktiga för utvecklingen av soacialr och emotionellt lärande som ämne i skolan. Den empiriska undersökningen bygger på nio lärarintervjuer utförda i årskurserna 4-9, med tonvilkten lagd på de högre årskurserna. Resultatet av studierna är att begreppet och arbetet med att utveckla social kompetens hos eleverns ärkomplext. Det finns många faktorer som inverkar på resultatet.

Tidigare forskning kring arbetslöshet har visat på en mängd negativa effekter för den arbetslösa individen. Det behövs fler kvalitativa studier på detta område, eftersom de flesta tidigare studier är utförda med kvantitativa ansatser. Våra syften med studien är att ?nå en förståelse för hur yngre långtidsarbetslösa upplever sina möjligheter att få ett arbete?. Samt ?nå en förståelse av den arbetslösas identitet?.

The subject for our bachelor thesis is how sugar is portrayed in Aftonbladet. By analyzing newspapers from 1995 and 2013 we wanted to research if the portrayal of sugar has changed during the years. We have noticed that there is a trend of being healthy and fit today. ?Strong is the new skinny? is a quote we can see in social media and on blogs today.

Intresset för kriminalitet och individerna bakom de kriminella handlingarna ökar i samhälletoch återges i media dagligen. Det är just individen bakom brottet, hen som fängslas och fåravtjäna sitt straff som denna studie riktar sitt fokus på. När fängelsegrindarna öppnas ochåterinträdet till samhället blir ett faktum; Hur tar då dessa individer sig tillbaka till samhälletför att åter bli en del av det?Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka vilka återanpassningsstrategier som frigivnaanvänder sig av samt hur samhällets bemötande påverkar strategierna. Studien baseras påsjälvbiografier skrivna av fyra författare som alla levt ett kriminellt liv och som sedermeraavtjänat ett eller flera fängelsestraff.Resultatet visar att det finns flera anpassningsstrategier som tas i bruk.

AbstractThe purpose of this paper is to examine how the population living in Christiania considers their residential area in relation to the surrounding society, and why you as an individual choose to live there. We have used the qualitative method and we have performed interviews with a total of six persons. We have used Tönnies two notions regarding gemeinschaft and gesellschaft, and Goffmans theory about stigma. We choose these theories because we thought that they were most relevant for our study. Our question at issue is: Why does a person seek to live in an alternative society, with different norms in comparison to the majority society? Through our interview persons we learned their stories and their opinions considering their residential area and we concluded that Christiania differs from the remaining society in several ways.

The purpose of this study is to highlight the opportunities of using social media as a communicative tool to attract and engage customers on different social media platforms. In recent years social media has become an important way for business to communicate with people both national and global. The idea behind this thesis was found when we saw different approaches of how companies used social media as a marketing tool. Through a qualitative approach we did eight interviews with six different companies and two social media consults which have given us a basis of what companies really want to achieve with social media. With these interviews we were able to analyze and discuss the abilities to interact with people and how companies distribute content that engage users and increase their credibility to the company..

Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka och förstå gymnasieelevers attityder till invandring. Faktorer som vi valt att undersöka och som kan påverka attityder är bland annat kön, nationell bakgrund och erfarenheter av olika kulturer. Studien är genomförd på en gymnasieskola i en mindre stad i Mellansverige. Totalt deltog 195 elever i den genomförda enkätundersökningen och fyra uppföljande intervjuer genomfördes. Begrepp som attityder, invandrare och social distans är centrala i den teoretiska förståelsen av studien.

The purpose of my study is to give a good picture of what social media really is and how companies can make use of it, in their marketing strategy. It gets more important for every day that companies fully understand how social media works and how to act in the new digital channels. To be an updated marketer today, you need to fully understand social media and how it can be implemented in the company marketing strategy. This study gives you a snapshot over todays situation in the area of social media marketing.I have interviewed four different persons, who I believe have a great competence and are highly qualified for this kind of study. All of the interviewed persons work with social media marketing at a daily basis.

The aim of this thesis is to interpret and discuss the weapon-graves of Viking Age Birka. The weapon-grave phenomenon is deemed differential in relation to the rest of the grave-material of the site, and thus the questions that motivate the thesis is: who was buried with weapons and why? Further questions arise regarding the social aspects of individuals who were buriedalong with weapons. The theoretical approach will be to evaluate any differences in 'social class', 'social age' and 'gender' between the weapon-grave contexts. By conducting qualitativeand quantified analysis of the grave-goods, this thesis adresses both overall and detailed patterns in correlation and constellations between weapons, other grave-goods and terms of burial..

Studerade effekten av social ångest och självfokusering på attributionsstil och impressionsbildning. En 2 (uppmätt hög/låg social ångest) x 2 (manipulerad hög/låg självfokusering) design användes. Deltagarna var 68 studenter, 56 kvinnor och 12 män. För attributionsstil användes separata skalor för bra och dåliga händelser. För impressionsbildning användes en positiv och en negativ skala.

Intimate partner violence (IPV) is a recognized social problem. The IPV is common in all types of intimate relations, this essays purpose was focused on the violence performed by women against men. To find the social workers conceptions the study conducted a survey sent to local social service in Sweden. The essay had a statistic approach to visualize the social workers conceptions, and a discursive approach to focus on the language used in text answers. Different aspects of the violence were explored to find the conceptions.

Syftet med studien är att beskriva om och i så fall hur individer med ADHD stigmatiseras (stämplas). Vikommer att undersöka om det finns någon påverkan i individens sociala relationer och hur denna påverkan kankommer till uttryck. Vår studie använder sig av tre teman; stigmatisering (stämplingen), sociala relationer ocharbete. I den tidigare forskning visar vi hur olika grupper av individer stigmatiseras i samhället. Studienanvänder sig av Goffmans teorier om stigmatisering.
