The purpose is to examine social workers view of vulnerable children and their needs. We are also interested to know how social workers think and discuss concerning the help these children are given. Our main questions in our study are; How do social workers define vulnerable children? Which needs do vulnerable children have according to social workers? Which opportunities and difficulties might there be in the decision making when trying to help these children? Which public authorities do social workers cooperate with? Which opportunities and difficulties do social workers find in the cooperation?This study is based upon interviews with ten social workers in the social childcare division in different municipalities in Skåne region, Sweden. Our results are explained and analyzed with a qualitative approach through different aspects of power- and Human Service Organization theories.

Social media has become an important marketing and communication tool worldwide, mostly through the largest social platforms Facebook and Twitter. With two-way communication via Internet companies has gotten the opportunity to interact and communicate directly with their customers. Facebook has been the focus point through the study because it has shown to be the most efficient and frequently used platform for communication. Our study aimed to confirm how communication via social media actually looks like. To be able to reach the best results, we have conducted the study from a phenomenological approach, which means; usage of qualitative semi-structured interviews to reflect the respondents experience on the phenomenon social media as a communication tool. Social media has shown to be a great way of communicating externally for companies who are willing to spend time engaging in the platform.

Social enterprises make up one of the groups of participants that provide welfare services financed by public funding. The object of this study is to describe and analyze from a theoretical point of view which conditions, in what fields, by which division of responsibility and finally through what decisions these social enterprises are allocated a place in the market for social welfare services. The company that has been the object of study offers services in the field of social welfare and in employment. In the study a triangulation of qualitative methods has been used: studies of literature on the subject, recurrent interviews and observations and also reviews of documents. The results have been analyzed from theories on the space available on the market for social services, on social economy and on social capital in the form of strong, weak and bridging bonds.

The purpose of this essay is to explore the social services work with crime victims in Sweden, according to Chapter 5, § 11 of the Social Services Act. The study examined how social workers define the victim and assessing and prioritizing victims' needs. It has also been central to study how social workers interpret and understand the regulation of social services responsible for crime victims.Qualitative interviews with 18 social workers is the basis for the study. The analysis of the social services work with victims based in the above-mentioned interviews. The interviews analyzed using the sociology of law theory.

This study explores how online television works and how it is integrated with social media such as Facebook, Twitter and blogs. Through three qualitative interviews with representants from different fields of work regarding online television, we have concluded how online television is being used in Sweden today and concludes with examples of what the future of online television could look like. Representatives from the following companies have been interviewed: SBS Media Group Sweden, Strix Television and Mediamätning i Skandinavien. The use of social media for marketing of online television is a fact for the companies in this study. However, the result of the study shows that theres room for development in the integration between online television and social media.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att beskriva, analysera och synliggöra lärares reflektioner om dans som kunskapsområde och pedagogiskt verktyg i grundskolan. I bakgrunden presenteras begreppet dans i skolan och dess fem aspekter, dansen ur ett pedagogiskt syfte och vad som står om dans i styrdokumenten. Vi tar upp tidigare och pågående forskning inom dans, rörelse, estetik och lärande. Undersökningen har genomförts med kvalitativa intervjuer med sex grundskolelärare i andra ämnen än dans. Uppsatsen resulterar i att samtliga lärare nämner positiva effekter av dans både som eget ämne och integrerat i det övriga lärandet.

Vi gjorde en undersökning med syfte att ta reda på vilka faktorer i lärandet som orsakar stress bland elever i år 4 och 5. Efter att ha varit ute på verksamhetsförlagd utbildning i olika skolor har vi upplevt stress hos elever och har då funderat över vad som är stressande hos eleverna. Vi genomförde undersökningen med en enkät samt intervjuer med eleverna för att få fram svaren vi behövde till vår undersökning. Resultatet visade att matematik upplevdes som det mest stressande av alla ämnen i skolan. Eleverna upplevde att de inte har tid för allt de ville eller borde göra och att det kunde vara svårt att hinna med arbetstakten i skolan..

This thesis has examined a co-operation called SSP, between the social authorities, the school and the police, located in Malmö. The intention with SSP is to prevent crime and drug use among juveniles but also to evolve a structure for a long-term co-operation between the authorities.The purpose of the thesis was to understand and analyse what the co- operation represented and stood for. The study also examined how the co- operation was effected by differences in the organisation of the three parts.The main questions were the following; what does SSP contain, is SSP preventive and for whom, what motivates the co-operation and how is the cooperation effected by the view the authorities have on the target group?The method used for answering the questions was based on qualitative interviews with the three authorities involved. We have also searched for literature on the subjects involved.The main content of the thesis has showed that the limits of SSP are diffuse, and the focus of the co- operation lies at a structural level.

The purpose of this study is to investigate how social media can affect and influence the B2B-relationship. Social media is now a widespread and accepted tool for communication in many B2C-companies; therefore we find it interesting to examine how social media can find its place in the communication mix of B2B-companies. We are also aiming to distinguish standards in how social media is practiced and discussed in the context of the B2B-market. We have applied a qualitative method for this study and we have interviewed seven respondents, which are experts in social media or working with market communication at B2B-companies in Sweden. During our study we have identified several comparable attributes within the B2B market and their opinions about how social media should be approach and adopt in the communication mix of the company..

The aim of this essay was to study if social workers have a gender awareness in the social work they perform and if it appears in the assessment of needs and intervention. A qualitative vignette study with four social workers who handle adult- and addictive clients have been performed. Gender theory is used to interpret the empirical results. The results of the study show that social workers doesn´t see any differences in the clients situation, or make any different assessment of needs depending on if the client is a man or a woman. Social workers also propose the same interventions to men and women.

Många forskare, så som Dan Olweus har i sina undersökningar kommit fram till att mobbning är ett utbrett problem som finns över hela världen och i alla åldrar. Denna uppsats inriktar sig på ungdomars mobbning, främst den mobbningen som sker på högstadiet. Arbetets teori beskriver mobbning ur ett helhetsperspektiv där vi bland annat tar upp vad mobbning är, den nya elektroniska mobbningen, följder av mobbning, åtgärder samt vilka organisationer som arbetar med mobbning. Teorin har vi valt för att kunna analysera vår empiri som framkommit genom intervjuer. Vi har valt att göra nio kvalitativa intervjuer för att få en djupare förståelse.

Arbetet är en studie om hur gymnasieelevers självkänsla påverkar deras syn på skolan inom ämnen som inlärning och kunskap. Ungdomar mår idag inte bra och det beror dels på identitetskriser. Dessa identitetskriser kan hämma elevernas skolutveckling. Att förbättra elevernas hälsa och kunskaper genom att aktivt förbättra elevernas självkänsla i skolan kan bidra till att elever minskar rädslan för att misslyckas men även att eleverna minskar pressen från samhället. AbstraktI dagens mångkulturella Sverige, där invandringen har varit stor de senaste åren, är det mycket aktuellt att undersöka om det finns rasistiska fördomar bland svenska ungdomar. Vi bad skolungdomar på två skolor i Sydsverige fylla i en enkät för att undersöka hur egentligen ligger till på den fronten, då det inte finns så mycket forskning inom den åldersgruppen. Den ena skolan hade hög invandrartäthet, medan den andra hade låg invandrartäthet. Ungdomar med invandrarbakgrund hade i genomsnitt lägre värden på rasismskalorna än ungdomar med svensk bakgrund. En förklaring kan vara att rasismfrågorna handlade om invandrare och inte om svenskar.

The purpose of this study was to examine how the needs of social assistance for people with substance abuse are assessed in accordance to The Swedish Social Services Act 4th chapter 1§. The purpose was also to examine how substance abuse is assessed as a social problem by social workers, how the municipal guidelines concerning social assistance for substance abuser were constructed in relation to the Social Service Act and finally how social workers made their assessments of the need of social assistance to people with substance abuse in relation to the legislation. The sample was made among the municipalities in the county of Stockholm. Municipal guidelines were studied in 18 municipalities by content analysis. A sample of 11 social workers was chosen from 5 municipalities.
