In August 2007 we went to New Zealand for a placement at Child Youth and Family Services. There our interest in Family Group Conferences (FGC) took off. FGC is not near as common in Sweden as in New Zealand. Therefore the purpose of this study was to examine how the Social Services in Helsingborg and Höör in Sweden and Belfast in Northern Ireland work with FGC. We had the privilege to go to Belfast in Northern Ireland as part of the project Insight Europe.

The aim with this study was to analyze and understand how begging is constructed as a social problem in Sweden between September of 2010 and the end of February in 2014 in debate articles in Dagens Nyheter. To do this I have chosen to use a social problems theory and critical discourse analysis to highlight some aspects in the process of defining the social problem. The study's main finding is that the construction of beggars and begging appears to be in a relatively extensive redefinition in the current situation. It is shown by, for example, a shift in focus in the discourse. For this reason, it is relevant for social work to examine how the construction progresses..

Studien utgår från följande frågeställningar: På vilket sätt uppfattar förskollärare i dagens förskola sitt uppdrag med barns inflytande? Hur resonerar förskollärare och barn om möjligheter för barns inflytande i förskolan? Hur resonerar förskollärare och barn om hinder för barns inflytande i förskolan? För att kunna undersöka detta har intervjuer gjorts. The purpose of the essay is to examine Gay, Lesbian and Bisexual person?s experiences of the Social Services treatment. Our question is: How do Gay, Lesbian and Bisexual person?s experience the treatment in a relief seeking situation at Social Services? We have a social constructive point of view. Our theoretical foundation is heteronormativity, heterosexism, homophobia, coming out/disclosure, intersectionality, master suppression techniques and we discuss Social Services as a system.

The purpose of this essay was to examine municipal guidelines regarding the administration of the social assistance, collected from 18 municipalities in the Stockholm-area to achieve a greater understanding on how they were constructed in respect to the legislation and how the language mediated their contents. The legal aspects of the social assistance was studied through a jurisprudential method in which the legislative history, texts of laws and case laws were examined. The empirical aspect of this essay was studied through a hermeneutical method and analyzed through theories of social constructionism and legal pluralism. The results from the jurisprudential study were also used to understand how the municipal guidelines were constructed in relation to the law. The results of this essay corresponded well with previous studies in this field where considerable divergences in the approval of social assistance have been established.

Problem: Which factors affect customer satisfaction in a non-physical bank relation? Purpose: The purpose with this thesis is to study what creates customer satisfaction in a non-physical bank relation. We look at this by conducting a case study in which we studied the opinion of customers who uses the e-bank at FöreningsSparbanken. Method: We have used a qualitative data method through which we have received answers from our respondents, these we have interpreted to form information, which we have used in our analysis. In our empirical study we have used a case study in which we have chosen to interview both customers and co-workers to get an answer to our problem.

Denna kandidatuppsats handlar om e-learning. Syftet med uppsatsen var att ta reda på vilken kunskapssyn som e-learningproducenterna ger uttryck för.Undersökningen avgränsades till fyra organisationer i Sverige som skapar e- learningutbildningar, vilka alltså kallas för e-learningproducenter i uppsatsen. Frågeställningen löd: Vilken kunskapssyn framträder hos organisationerna som deltagit i undersökningen?Syftet uppfylldes genom kvalitativa semistrukturerade intervjuer samt dokumentanalys.Därefter, med verktyget diskursanalys och med grund i teorier kring området, analyserades resultatet av undersökningen.Framför allt framträdde tendenser kring social och konstruktivistisk syn på lärande hos e-learningproducenterna. Dock kunde inte en enhetlig kunskapssyn för alla fyra e-learningproducenter urskiljas.De mest intressanta diskurserna var kunskap som mätbart, att kunderna inte köper pedagogik, respondenternas reflektioner kring kommunikation och interaktion samt problematisering kring teknikens begränsningar..

AbstractDigital media in general and social media in particular are becoming more and more important to businesses across the globe. It is an effective way to reach out to consumers and establish a good relationship with existing customers. Most companies today use digital media in order to market themselves and to establish good public relations. A lot of those companies have also realized the enormous marketing capabilities that social media provides. However, in spite of the plethora of possibilities that comes with social media it can also, in some cases, hinder the companies ? success.

This study aims to further Work-family conflict research for Social Workers by providing insight into what kind of impact the job role of social workers in Sweden has on their private lives and how they deal with it. The study operates from a qualitative approach and is based on three focus group-interviews and three semi-structured interviews with people working in different fields of social work. The empirical material has been analyzed through the Dramaturgical Perspective and Frame concept of Erving Goffman. The results of this study show that the job role impacts the psychological well-being of social workers, their family life and their social life to varying degrees, mainly due to organizational and client-based aspects, often resulting in role-conflicts and a lack of energy in their private lives. The primary strategies were found to be conversing with colleagues, spending time alone, embracing hobbies and having a clear understanding of individual responsibility. .

Family centres are established to serve families with children and the personnel usually consists of units of social-workers, preschool staff, paediatric nurses and midwives. The purpose of the study was to examine the social-workers preventive work with families at the family centre. To fulfil the purpose, a qualitative interview with five social-workers was conducted. The theoretical framework referred to attachment and empowerment theory. The results of the study showed that the main part of the work consists of giving advice and support to parents.

I denna studie behandlas olika teorier kring barn och ungdomars sociala utveckling och lärande i integration med djur. Vidare exemplifierar studien hur detta arbete med djur kan bedrivas. Undersökningen innefattar också vad högskoleutbildade pedagoger i förskolan och skolan har för attityder kring att integrera djur i den pedagogiska verksamheten. För att ta reda på detta har vi använt oss av fältstudier baserade på observationer, protokoll, intervjuer, och samtal.. I denna studie har även en enkätundersökning genomförts i syfte att ta reda på attityder kring integration mellan barn/ungdomar och djur.

Problem/ Bakgrund: Problemformuleringen grundar sig i en nyfikenhet över varför ungdomar inte sover på natten eftersom de sms:ar. Mitt intresse för Meads teori om jagets utveckling gör att undersökningens fokus ligger på hur självbild och identitet är kopplat till ungdomarnas sms:ande.Syfte: Att få större förståelse för hur ungdomars identitetsskapande kan ske genom sms.Kort beskrivning av uppsatsens utgångspunkter och undersökningens upplägg: Arbetet behandlar sms-kommunikation. Det empiriska materialet består av intervjuer med nio ungdomar i åldern 16-17 år. Teoriramen bygger på Goffmans analys om självpresentation, samt Meads syn på jaget och identitet.Slutsatser/ Resultat: Det gäller att vara käck och rolig i sina sms för att få ett snabbt svar, och därmed få den bekräftelse som många känner sig beroende av. Ungdomarna kan vara djärvare i sina sms.
