Denna studie belyser sex stycken behandlingsassistenter, verksamma på en LVU-institutions uppfattningar om vad ett behandlingsklimat utgörs av, vad ett behandlingssammanbrott är samt om ett behandlingsklimat kan minska behandlingssammanbrotten. Behandlingssammanbrott är av stort intresse då det lagts fram att ett sammanbrott kan leda till sämre prognos för ett behandlingsresultat.Studien har ett interaktionistiskt synsätt som teoretisk utgångspunkt. Empirin har samlats in med intervjuer av sex stycken behandlingsassistenter.Syftet med studien är att få fördjupad kunskap om några behandlares kunskap och erfarenhet av behandlingsklimatet vid institutionsvård av unga. Studien belyser även behandlingsklimat i relation till behandlingssammanbrott.Resultatet vad gäller behandlingsklimatet visar att de intervjuade ser resurser som en stark faktor för behandlingsklimatet, samt att säkerhet och trygghet är grundläggande. This thesis compares political participation by the public through the Swedish Parliamentary Ombudsman (PO) and the German Petitions Committee of the Bundestag (PC). Through studies of literature and statistics I examine how citizens can participate through the institutions, how frequently they do and the likelihood of sparking a debate while participating.Using media theories as well as theories of participatory and representative democracy I study how citizens can use these institutions for purposes of control and proposition.Both institutions deal with complaints but the PC also deals with propositions for legislation, making the institution more versatile. The PO deals with more cases than the PC and has more far-reaching competences and areas of inspection, although neither institution has binding decisions. Thus the direct advantage for citizens using the institutions is the chance of reaching out to media and the public through freedom of information laws and the German online petition forum.The PC to a larger extent fits the representative model while the PO in some respects is more a legal than a political institution, being managed by lawyers instead of MPs. Neither institution meets the ideals of participatory politics although the German official petition is closer to it..

Titel: Rockmusic preferences in the rock programme. Popular culture, music preferences and repertoire inside a teaching institution. This paper raises some questions about the popular music that exists outside as well as inside institutions. From the example of popular music and rockmusic the students of a music teacher education programme based on rock music are asked for their taste for music in a brief questionnaire. The answers are compared to those concerning the music they used to like before they entered the education as well as the music played on the ensemble lessons at the programme.

Undersökningen rör funktionsledarnas nya roll på Länsstyrelsen i Kronobergslän. Den nya rollen är ett utökat chefskap som är en del av en omorganisering. Syftet med studien är att ta reda på hur det utökade chefskapet hos funktionsledarna påverkar deras, roll och arbetsgemenskap samt vilka effekter ett ledarskap längre ner i organisationen medför. Teorier kring roll, ledarskap, organisation och institution har används. Metoden som använts är främst intervjuer.

This study is an institutional analysis of the firm both as it is theoretically conceptualized and how it takes shape and changes. The role of power relations between manage¬ment and employees is especially examined with the aim of evaluating pos¬sible connections between the firm as an institution and power relations within it. Based on a comparison of two cases (two selected periods of the same organization) it asks ?How closely does each case match the conceptual characteristics of the firm??; ?What are the power relations between management and employees in each case??; and finally ?What factors account for the resulting differences??. It is found that there is a negative correlation between employee power and proximity to the firm as a concept.

This is a case study that explores the ways in which implemented university reforms have affected employees in the higher educational sector. Previous research within the research field has mainly focused on policy related consequences of the reforms. This is why a study that brings attention to the ways the reforms have affected employees is sorely needed.The aim with the study is to examine whether there is a discrepancy between formal changes and the ways the employees experience them. The study is based on interviews with 8 lecturers from two universities and the material is analyzed mainly through sociological neo-institutional theories, such as Richard Scott?s theory of the three pillars within an informal institution and Helmke and Levintskys theory of the relationship between formal and informal institutions.The results show that there is a discrepancy between the formal changes and the ways employees perceive them.

Uppsatsen syfte är att undersöka hur normalitet skapas på låst institution, detta genom att undersöka hur kategorier som kön och sexualitet skapas genom talet. Våra frågeställningar är:Hur skapar behandlingspersonalen, genom sitt tal, ungdomars kön på låst institution, hur skapas kön i behandlingspersonalens beskrivningar av ungdomarnas problematik, hur skapas kön i behandlingspersonalens beskrivningar av ungdomarnas sexualitet? Vi använder oss av diskursanalys som metod med en teoretisk utgångspunkt i socialkonstruktionismen. Vi använder oss av och problematiserar begreppen kön, sexualitet, makt och diskurs. Vårt material utgörs av intervjuer med behandlingspersonal på två låsta institutioner, en för flickor och en för pojkar.

Background: The parent has a natural presence in today?s child health care and hospital treatment. The transition from home to a care institution has an impact on the parent. Previous research shows that over time the conditions and the parent?s role in child and youth health care have changed extensively.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att ta reda på vad som styr antalet placeringar av barn och ungdomar på institution. För att besvara detta har fyra kvalitativa intervjuer med två IFO-chefer och två socialsekreterare gjorts. The aim of this study was to gain a better understanding of resource schools 1 as a human services organization and institution, based on teachers and principals? perspectives. The purpose of resource schools is to provide the students tools and resources to enable them to return to the regular school within two years. The study also aims to examine more closely how this objective applies to the studied resource schools in the studied municipality, as well as highlighting the success factors and barriers that exist to achieve the goal. Previous studies show that this kind of differential practice tends to become a permanent solution.

The aim of this master thesis?s is to examine what functions writing activities can have in the public library. Some public libraries offer their visitors writing activities, for example courses and camps. The public library is an institution with a particular identity, with special norms and properties which participants within the institution construct and reproduce. The main question of this thesis is to investigate how writing activities can be a part of the public library?s institutional identity and what functions writing activities in the public library can have.

Syftet med denna studie var att få en ökad förståelse för hur och varför personalen på en institution som drivs av Statens institutionsstyrelse, bemöter ungdomar olika utifrån kön och vilka faktorer som spelar in i dessa skillnader. Vidare så ville jag även fördjupa mig i hur reflektion som verktyg kan användas till ett ökat lärande och utveckling hos personalen. Kvalitativa semistrukturerade intervjuer med åtta anställda har genomförts samt ett observationstillfälle på vardera avdelningen. För att tolka resultaten har en hermeneutisk ansats använts. Resultatet visar på att personalen bemöter ungdomarna olika beroende på kön och vilken avdelning personalen arbetar på.

In this two-years masters thesis the information practices of former interns are examined in relation to a possible lack of certain kinds of information in the prison environment. The essay is positioned in the research field of information practices which means its looking at all kinds of information, formal and informal. Since the essay is in the field of information practices it means the focus lies in how information is taught whithin contexts and groups. Information is not looked at solely as an individual process but is seen as a collective experience.The method of the essay is that of the qualitative research interview. Besides taking an interest in information practices i investigate whether access of information in prisons could be improved and whether the library organisations could be a part of those improvements.The result of my research shows that information in the prison coming from the correctional institution is not perceived as well functioning.

Familjen ses som en naturlig enhet och det finns en tanke om att när ett barn inte kan bo hos sin familj av olika skäl, ska institutionsvården barnet vistas i efterlikna en familj och ett hem. Det finns olika åsikter om huruvida en institution bör eller har möjlighet att likna en familj/ett hem. En del forskning menar att det inte går att efterlikna familj och hem inom institutionsvård medan annan forskning menar att det är fullt möjligt och nödvändigt. Syftet med studien är att belysa hur personal på HVB-hem konstruerar familj och hem som fenomen på HVB-hem. Vidare belyser studien personalens föreställningar kring hur relationer på institutionerna kommer till uttryck utifrån ett familjebegrepp.
