This essay will examine the social organization in the archipelago of Tonga. To accomplish this purpose, archaic societies and structures such as ancient Egypt and Hawaii will be examined to obtain a closer understanding of the building blocks which constitute a chiefdom or kingdom. Since Patrick V. Kirch (2010) recently redefined the Hawaiian archipelago as a kingdom this essay will examine if the same can be done with the chiefdom of Tonga since it have similarities to the Hawaiian social organization.To do this the essay will examine and describe both the geographical organization of the states and the social organization. The purpose of this essay was to investigate and analyze affecting factors concerning social workers in two different municipality social services, Karlskrona and Karlshamn, working with cases of youth drug abuse. We wanted to see what affects social workers in their choices of assessments of youth drug abusers. We wanted to find out whether the organizational aspects or the cliental qualities affect the social workers more than the other in the choices of assessments. Among the cliental qualities we used in this essay, gender was the most important quality and therefore the quality we wanted to pay special attention to. When it came to the organizational aspects we paid special attention to the social workers boundaries of agency.

BAKGRUND: Forskningen i vår bakgrund tar upp vikten av att alla barn känner sig som en del av gruppgemenskapen, och också hur angeläget det är för varje barn att ha en vän att samspela med. I bakgrunden belyser forskningen även hur grundläggande pedagogens roll i arbetet mot utanförskap är.SYFTE: Vi vill med vårt syfte undersöka hur pedagoger agerar när ett eller flera barn är utanför i barngruppen. För att få en bredare bild av hur utanförskap i förskolan kan se ut, och hur pedagoger anser att utanförskap påverkar utsatta barn, har vi även valt att undersöka dessa två områden.METOD: Studien har gjorts utifrån två redskap: intervjuer med sex pedagoger och observationer där pedagogers agerande har studerats. Vi har även observerat två barngrupper för att få en helhetsbild av hur utanförskap i förskolan kan se ut. Studien har genomförts kvalitativt med utgångspunkt i Vygotskijs och Säljös teori om barns utveckling i samspel med andra individer.RESULTAT: Barn som på något sätt är annorlunda gentemot de andra barnen i barngrupperna tenderar att lättare hamna utanför.

The aim of this qualitative deep interview study was to gain deeper understanding of single immigrant mothers´life situation. Grounded Theory was the method of analysis. Repeated interviews with five immigrant women from different parts of the world showed that women were in need of wider and deeper social networks in order to reconstruct their identities. Social support and social networks benefit, not only reconstruction of identity, but also personal well-being. Yet it is difficult for them to create social networks in the new country, because of single motherhood.

Syfte; Syftet med denna litteraturöversikt var att beskriva upplevelsen av vad som skapar en meningsfull tillvaro samt hur sjuksköterskan kan stödja och främja en meningsfull tillvaro för de äldre vid särskilda boenden. Metod; Studien genomfördes som en litteraturöversikt. Artiklar publicerade mellan åren 2000-2012 söktes i databaserna CHINAL, ELITE, PubMed, SweMed samt i tidskriften Vård i Norden. Resultat; Resultatet visade på att upprätthållandet av kroppens fysiska och mentala förmågor hade stor inverkan för den upplevda hälsan. Social gemenskap, goda vårdrelationer och ett aktivt delagande i den egna vardagen ansågs även placera den äldre i ett sammanhang, vilket också grundade för meningsfullhet och välbefinnande.

The objective of this bachelor thesis is to examine how some larger Swedish public libraries reason about the use of social media as part of their activities and outreach. To attain the purpose three research-questions were established; why does the public library use social media? How does the public library utilize social media? What extra value do librarians believe that use of social media can add to the libraries? function? The methodology used in the thesis is qualitative interviews. Six interviews were conducted with librarians in charge of social media at their respective libraries. Five of the interviews were conducted by telephone and one by email.

The purpose of this study was to examine how modern information and communication technology influence collective action within the framework of social movements. By studying the protests in the Arab World 2011, and focusing on the social movements in Suleimanya in northern Iraq, by observation taken on place, the essay discusses that collective action is closely related to the use of technology, for example cell phones and Internet.Result shows that modern communication technology has enabled immeasurable access andconnection between individuals throughout the world, which seems to be different from previouscollective action. The purpose of this article is to examine how social workers may experience fear in their profession, how they and their organizations handle the fear and how the fear may affect their practice. To obtain the purpose, in-depth interviews were carried out with seven social workers from the southeastern part of Sweden. The experiences of fear were many and are summarized in four categories. Fear of treats and violence, fear of the responsibility in complicated situations and without optimal solution, fear of being regarded and judged as worthless and fear of being scrutinized with the risk of being stigmatized. The aim of this study was to examine the relations between sense of coherence (SOC), perceived social support and mood, the study also included gender and civil status in the analysis. In the analysis mood was the dependent variable. The study included 81 respondents, all students from Växjö university, who answered a survey with three parts: SOC 13, Mood Adjective Checklist (MACL), and an own constructed instrument that measured perceived social support. The result showed that those with a high SOC tended to have a greater mood. High scores on perceived social support also were related to a greater mood.
