The focus of this thesis is on social workers? knowledge in assessing and making decisions in child welfare cases. The primary aim is to identify what skills or knowledge social workers find most useful within child welfare agencies in Swedish municipalities. Six different types of knowledge, social policy and the approach of child welfare cases are perspectives considered in the analysis. The interviews with social workers were held in three agencies in southern Sweden, in 2014.

SammanfattningSverige har sedan lång tid tillbaka varit ett ledande land i såväl ekonomi som tillväxt. Att Sverige inte varit delaktiga i de två världskrig som varit, har gjort att Sverige haft ett försprång i nya processer, nya organisationsformer och ny utveckling. Detta försprång har under 2000 talets början reducerats kraftigt och många länder har gått förbi Sverige i denna utveckling. Flertalet andra länder har börjat producera de produkter som vi tidigare producerat i Sverige. Sverige måste förändras, Sverige måste återta det försprång landet en gång hade.

The purpose of this study was to examine knowledge within the social services. We narrowed the study down from general knowledge to scientifically produced knowledge and how the social workers relate to such knowledge. We aimed to see how the social workers perceive different knowledge and how they relate to the different sources of knowledge. We also examined the different factors that will enable and motivate social workers to stay updated with scientifically produced knowledge that is relevant to their work. We also examined what limits the ability or motivation for renewing ones knowledge.

The purpose of this study was to examine social workers working process in social assistance with focus on the child´s perspective. We were interested in learning about the existence of variations in approach and attitude between two municipalities. Question to be answered about what methods and approaches used by social workers to include the child´s perspective in the process of social assistance. Another question to be answered about what the manner in which social workers took into account the child´s perspective when the families apply for social assistance in relation to the operations and requirement. To fulfill the purpose, qualitative methods were used.

Arbetets syfte är att ta reda på elevers föreställningar om matens väg genom kroppen samt matspjälkningsorganens funktion. 46 elever från årskurs 3 och 9 fick genomgå en papper- och pennauppgift varav 19 av dessa därefter intervjuades personligen. Elevernas föreställningar sammanställdes och kategoriserades sedan i fyra olika kategorier. Dessa kategorier sträcker sig från A: en ofullständig beskrivning av matspjälkningssystemet till D: god förståelse för matspjälkningssystemet.Resultatet visade på att merparten av eleverna inte uttryckte god förståelse för matspjälkningssystemets funktion. Vi har jämfört klassernas resultat och funnit små skillnader.

Background: Corporations are established and organized in order to create economic values for their owners and the main aim of every business enterprise is to be profitable and satisfy the financial expectations of their shareholders. However, corporate social responsibility focuses on the ethical aspects of corporate business in order to achieve the balance between the profitability and social responsibility. Nongovernmental organizations through their activities promote the respect for human rights and environmental care within the corporate world. Purpose and Scope: To make an in-depth study about the role of nongovernmental organizations regarding corporate social responsibility in order to increase the understanding of corporate social responsibility. Methodology: We used literature research for our thesis and we analysed the secondary data related to the corporate social responsibility.

Detta arbete behandlar funktionshindret autism, där kommunikation återfinns som ett stort problemområde. Inom den sk "Wings Triad", där nedsättning i social interaktion, kommunikation och fantasi nämns som de största svårigheterna, och som komplexa områden där många personer med autism har stora brister, är detta tydligt. Sett ur individperspektiv är kommunikation väldigt intressant och ett viktigt område att belysa. Just kommunikation och det sociala samspelet med andra människor är något som i dagens samhälle fyller en viktig funktion, och finns då svårigheter till kommunikativt samspel så innebär detta problem. Jag vill med detta arbete visa hur man arbetar med kommunikation som problemområde i särskolan idag, och ge en inblick i vilka olika metoder, visuella arbetssätt och hjälpmedel som finns att tillgå för att stimulera personer med autism till en förbättrad tvåvägskommunikation.

The law (1988:870) concerning care of substance abusers is constructed in a way that gives the social workers room to interpret and apply the law individually. This may contribute to differences in treatment between female and male substance abusers. The purpose of the essay was to investigate whether the client's gender had any significance to how the social worker interpret and apply the law (LVM).The specific questions we worked around were:- What significance does the client's gender have in the decision-making?- Does the social worker's opinion about the law have any significance?- What factors can effect the social worker's interpretation and application of the law?- What importance do the social workers attach to prevailing norms about men and women when they interpret and apply the law?We chose to use a qualitative method to answer the above questions. Six social workers were interviewed and 39 LVM sentences were analysed.

Idag finns social och emotionell träning (SET) som ett särskilt ämne på en del skolor med egna tilldelade timmar på schemat. Det vi ställt oss frågande till är vad det är som gör att vi har tagit in social och emotionell träning som ett eget ämne på schemat i grundskolans tidigare år och vi frågar oss även om det behövs särskilda lektioner för detta? Genom att intervjua tre lärare och tio elever samt att göra observationer under dessa lektioner har vi försökt finna svaren på våra frågor..

Uppsatsens övergripande syfte var att undersöka möjliga mönster av social ångest och dess relation till depressiva symtom och livstillfredsställelse. Social ångest innebär lidande för många människor och medför rädsla för situationer där det finns risk att granskas, att få uppmärksamhet samt att bli bedömd för sina prestationer. Social ångest karakteriseras av undvikande beteende men indikationer finns att det även existerar en atypisk undergrupp av social ångest som uppvisar ett impulsivt beteende. Självskattningsformulär har använts vid datainsamlingen och urvalet bestod av unga vuxna i åldern 20-24 år. Resultaten analyserades genom klusteranalys och indikerade att en atypisk impulsiv grupp med social ångest existerade samt att kön modererar graden av depressiva symtom. .

A large number of children and teenagers are placed in foster care for various reasons. Social services have a responsibility to follow up youths and ensure that they have the same opportunity for positive development as other young people. A qualitative study was conducted with an abductive perspective by gathering material from social workers in this particular field. The research design of this study is an interview study. The theoretical premise was Bronfenbrenners ecosystem theory and Maslows hierarchy of needs theory.

The social dimension in the EU, explored through the document texts of the Treaty of Rome, the Lisbon Strategy, the Social Policy Agenda and the Swedish Strategy ReportThis paper explores the social dimension of EU social policy, except the aspects of the economic and labour market. The EU documents reveal an underlying line of thought stemming from the alignment of the six founding countries, spearheaded by France, with the conservative corporatist welfare model. As one of four European welfare models, the conservative corporatist model emphasises labour market issues, corporate social responsibility and the subsidiarity principle in EU social policy. It also influences how the texts define the terms social, social policy and social exclusion. The definitions determine how policymakers combat problems such as social exclusion and identify the policy issues to be included in EU social policy.The Swedish Strategy shows how the country is responding to the objectives that it has been assigned by the EU and how it plans to attain them.

Introduktion: Ankyloserande Spondylit (AS) är den svåraste formen inom kategorin inflammatorisk ryggsjukdom och innebär att inflammationen, som främst drabbar kotpelaren, lett till bestående strukturella förändringar på skelettet. För att motverka funktionsnedsättningar används fysioterapi som en del i behandlingen. Tidigare studier indikerar på att mer forskning behövs kring effekter till följd av olika typer av fysioterapi. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att sammanställa de fysioterapeutiska behandlingsmetoder som studerats under de fem senaste åren och evidens för dess effekter på fysisk funktion, rörlighet samt smärta hos personer med Ankyloserande Spondylit. Metod: För att besvara syftet genomfördes en litteratursökning av fysioterapeutiskt tillämpningsbara behandlingsmetoder vid Ankyloserande Spondylit.

The purpose of this particular study was to examine the client relationship as described by social workers during the ongoing process of addiction treatment in conjunction with the effects on creating these relationships as affected by government stipulations. As a basis for the study, qualitative interviews were conducted with five separate social workers in the course of their work within addiction treatment. Results from the study were analyzed by means of power and dramaturgically roll theory. The social workers stated that it was of the utmost importance to create a good relationship in order to effectively help the client. The social workers further stated that a good relationship was characterized by the virtues of cooperation, trust, and confidence.
