The purpose of this essay was to examine and compare what attitudes Swedish and Belgian social workers may have towards residential care and foster care for children and young people. To answer the purpose eight qualitative interviews with four Swedish and four Belgian social workers were made. The results were analyzed by theory of organization and professional acting space. The results of the study show that the social workers in both countries preferred foster care, especially for small children, and that the Swedish social workers had a more negative attitude towards residential care than the Belgian social workers. Even though the Belgian social workers preferred foster care, they found themselves forced to choose residential care due to lack of available foster care facilities, something that did not seem to affect the Swedish social workers.

The purpose of this study is to analyse the offer from the ministry of education and cultural affairs to Swedish public libraries concerning a computerised connection to SUNET (the Swedish University Network). The study is based on analyses of the main texts from the campaign and interviews in order to identify arguments that caused the libraries to accept or decline the offer. My conclusions are that the marketing of the SUNET-offer was to a large extent filled with technicalities, and that the campaign failed to identify and focus on the true recipients the decision-makers. The wordings used in the written material were too negative and discouraging. In order to succeed with future concentrations concerning public libraries, it is vitally important to overcome the boundaries between the decision-makers in the local government, the people responsible for information technology and the library staff..

Hovdala slott ligger mjukt inbäddat i en sänka vid Göingeåsen och nära Finjasjön, ungefär 7 km söder om Hässleholm i Skåne. Gården som har anor från medeltiden, ägs idag av Statens fastighetsverk, medan Hässleholms kommun har hand om drift och skötsel. 1947 blev det byggnadsminnesförklarat och fungerar idag som rekreationsområde för allmänheten. Målet med detta arbete är att presentera ett gestaltningsförslag till inre borggården, med syftet att levandegöra och tillföra mervärde, utan att förstöra de befintliga värdena. Ödmjukhet inför den enkla och rofyllda miljön har varit viktig.

The Swedish welfare organisation is built on the fact that the legislation gives the municipalities and social workers guidance and direction how to assess cases. Through out this the clients have right to be assessed both equally and individually. How is this done? The purpose of this paper was to examine the effect of the organisation referred to the social workers ability to discretion and the evaluation of the assessment in first time applications of social assistant cases. The purpose was also to look for variations in decisions and if these could be explained out of organisational and assessment effects.

The aim of our study is to explore social workers view on the importance of clothing. We want to know how and if social worker reflects on the importance of their clothing and how it may affect their clients. Dresses social workers differently due to different work situations? Play client`s clothes any role in the social welfare officers? Can client`s clothing affect the assessment of their problem?The study is based on a qualitative method. The data consists of two focus group interviews with four social workers in each group, containing three women and one man in each focusgroup, with a total of eight informants.The results of our study indicate that the clothes are important in meeting with clients and especially as to help create a relationship with the client.

The purpose of this study was to examine how modern information and communication technology influence collective action within the framework of social movements. By studying the protests in the Arab World 2011, and focusing on the social movements in Suleimanya in northern Iraq, by observation taken on place, the essay discusses that collective action is closely related to the use of technology, for example cell phones and Internet.Result shows that modern communication technology has enabled immeasurable access andconnection between individuals throughout the world, which seems to be different from previouscollective action. The new communication channels in the form of social media, has been used for the dissemination of information and news, documentation, organization and membership recruitment in the social movements in the Arab World and Suleimanya. The new social movements have the tendency to be decentralized and flattened organized, they are now self-organizing and that they only do a whole as global patterns, as evidenced by the social movements in the Arab World andSuleimanya..

Palliativ vård är en aktiv helhetsvård för patienter med obotlig sjukdom som innebär en begränsad överlevnad. Palliativ vård bedrivs idag både inom hemsjukvård och slutenvård. Syftet med studien var att beskriva sjuksköterskors erfarenheter av att arbeta i dubbla dokumentationssystem, för överrapportering av patienter i behov av palliativ vård. Studien är genomförd som en intervjustudie med kvalitativ ansats. Tre sjuksköterskor inom distriktsvård och fem sjuksköterskor verksamma inom palliativ slutenvård i norra Sverige har intervjuats.

 The main purpose is to investigate the main fea-tures of the discourse in the social medias about the legal view on cimes and criminals.                                                The special questions that are investigated are:1)    What specific features characterize the discourse in the social medias?2)    What are the legal restrictions for the freedom of speech on the Internet?3)    What attitudes can you find among lawyers towards the discourse in the social medias?4)    Are there grounds for presuming that the discourse in the social medias can effect the judgement in a special case?         .

 The aim of this study was to examine how social workers perceive and interpret the term ?barnets bästa? (?The best for the child?), within the framework of investigatory work and enforcement of Swedish law, which is carried out by the Social Services. We wanted to investigate if the interpretation of the term had any causal effects on the work carried out by social workers. Seven social workers from two municipalities participated in this study in which we used qualitative semi-structured interviews based around two vignettes. We focused on age, experience, legislation, and external circumstances to gain insight into how these factors alter social workers? perception of the term ?barnets bästa?. Our theoretical approach was based on two theories on social constructivism.

Människan är till sin natur en social varelse och många sammanhang förutsätter en viss social kompetens. Att ha social fobi innebär en stark rädsla för att bli utsatt för andra människors kritik och iakttagelser. Denna fobi leder till problem med många aktiviteter i vardagen, som t.ex. att läsa högt inför andra människor, gå på fest eller äta tillsammans med andra. Syftet med studien var att, med stöd av en arbetsterapeutisk arbetsprocess, undersöka hur några arbetsterapeuter arbetar med personer som har social fobi.

The aim of this project was to change the way cutting techniques are being taught. I wished to try a method which I believed to enhance my students´ participation and understanding of their education. My purpose was to reduce the gap between theory and practice. After conducting a learning style test I found that most of them considered the best way for them to learn was by combining practice with dialogue and reflection of the tasks being done. That is why we tried to start working with the practical elements rather than traditionally starting with the theoretical aspects, while carefully intertwining terms and language of the trade into the education.

Syftet med arbetet är att undersöka hur sex stycken förskollärare arbetar med taluppfattning i det dagliga arbetet och hur de dokumenterar arbetet för att synliggöra barnens lärande. Som metod valde vi kvalitativa intervjuer, som liknar ett vanligt samtal, men med skillnaden att detta samtal har ett bestämt fokus.Resultatet visar att förskollärarna arbetar med tal och siffror tillsammans med barnen under förskolans alla dagar och timmar i veckan och i vardagliga situationer som uppstår, exempel vid dukning till lunch. Två förskollärare vi intervjuat har på sin förskola en speciell dag i veckan som de enbart arbetar med matematik för att det ska bli tydligt för barnen. De intervjuade förskollärarna säger att arbetet med tal kommer in genom sånger, ramsor och böcker för att utveckla barns taluppfattning. Barnens lärande dokumenteras genom fotografier, filminspelningar och barnintervjuer.

This thesis studies how the Swedish government articulates social exclusion within the spring budget of 2007. Through a discourse theoretical approach, inspired by Ernest Laclau and Chantal Mouffe, the empirical findings are reconstructed through the nodal point of labour and two chains of equivalence, based upon the duality between employment and unemployment. By viewing social exclusion as a phenomenon concerning discourse, identity and politics, this duality forms the basis of a deconstructive and hegemonic analysis.I argue that the term social exclusion is a powerful and flexible political concept in that it obscures ideological assumptions and objectives as well as draws attention away from alternative social concepts. Throughout the thesis social exclusion is stressed as a social category constituting the relation between individual and society. Hence I argue that it is of vital importance that the values underlying its usage are made explicit and that social exclusion as a floating signifier is made an object of academic analysis..

Studien underso?ker ocksa? vad som avgo?r sorteringen och urvalet av dessa fotografier.Resultatet visar att a?terkommande drag i de tagna fotografierna kan ses i relation till pedagogernas fo?rha?llningssa?tt.

1 januari, 2004 trädde en ny lag i kraft, Lag om skydd mot olyckor, och den gör gällande att det är fastighetsägaren eller verksamhetsutövaren som har ansvaret för brandskyddet på en arbetsplats. I och med den nya lagen upphörde brandsynen från räddningstjänsten och ersattes med tillsyn. WB Trä hade därför behov av att får hjälp med att inrätta ett fungerande och förebyggande brandskyddsarbete, ett s.k. SBA med tillhörande dokumentation. Mitt uppdrag har bestått av att jag för företagets räkning som examensarbete ska organisera och utarbeta rutiner för ett fullgott förebyggande brandskyddsarbete (SBA) samt utföra överenskommen dokumentation av detta arbete.
