The purpose of this study was to examine how social work professionals view their professional role and how they think about the concept of social work. I also wanted to investigate what they believe characterize a professional social work. For the purposes of this study, I chose a qualitative approach in which I interviewed five people linked to the social work. The theories which I have assumed in the analysis of the results are power theory, organization theory and professional theory. The results of this study show that the respondents believe that a professional social work is performed by someone who has training and experience in the field.

Social sustainability is often regarded as a solution to social problems in general. In this study, on the contrary, social sustainability is conceived as a socially constructed concept and the result of a certain way of looking at the world, the human being and the ideal society. I undersökningen presenteras skäl till att ta in en klassanalys vid utvärderingar även av den enskilda skolans verksamhet.Många undersökningar visar att det sker en social selektion vid övergången från grundskola till gymnasiet och därmed till yrkes- och studieval senare i livet. Det kan betyda att skolan endast i ringa mån, om ens alls, bidragar till att motverka sådana begränsningar i elevens studie- och yrkesval som grundar sig på kön, social eller kulturell bakgrund. Denna undersökning visar att effekter av den sociala selektionen kan skönjas och att en klassanalys av verksamheten kan bidra till en förståelse av problematiken och därmed till effektiva åtgärder för utveckling.Undersökningen bygger på svaren från majoriteten av alla elever i år 5 och år 8 i grundskolan samt år 2 på gymnasieskolan i en mellanstor kommun. Enkäten var en ordinär enkät för utvärdering av skolverksamheten. Dessutom genomfördes intervjuer med tre av eleverna i år 2 på gymnasieskolans samhällsvetenskapliga program samt en av deras lärare.

Title: Artistic methods for persons with dysfunctions.The idea to the paper was born in my work, as a pedagogue, with young persons with dysfunctions. My pedagogic method is eurhythmics but I wanted to examine in what other ways you could work with artistic expression in similar areas such as circus, dance therapy and psychodrama. These areas were chosen because they have components that are interrelated, which I find very interesting. Mind and body are considered from a holistic point of view. The purpose of this paper is to bring about a better understanding of how persons with dysfunctions respond to various artistic teaching methods.

We consider the meaning of leisure time for the human linguistic and cultural development of great meaning, in particular association with bilingual. We are both bilingual and have had the privilege to use and develop our knowledge likewise our experience during our education.The purpose with our school essay is to investigate what the youth tell us about their bilingual development outside School time. Our target group is Albanian-/Swedish speakers from upper secondary youth. Based on our own experience we know that upper secondary School contributes to an increasing awareness about themself and their own language and identity.In our empirical study, have we used qualitative strategy and build our interview guide on the basis of the semi structural method. Furthermore we have carried out two different group interviews which consisted each between 6-7 interviewees.

In this essay, I investigate Swedish possibilities to influence the Common Agricultural Policy of the European Union (CAP). After having summarized my findings, I try to explain the structure of influence by using Multi-level governance theory.Ten years have passed since Sweden joined the Union, and many changes have followed in the agricultural sector. By investigating the small country of Sweden's possibilities to influence CAP, I hope to be able to get a notion of the possibilities to influence the EU in general. The essay examines four possible paths for agricultural interests to influence the policy process in Brussels:* Through elected representatives of Sweden in the European Parliament, the Council of Ministers and in the Swedish Parliament* Through subnational institutions, such as the local authorities and regional representatives.* Through the Swedish Agricultural Office* Through the Swedish pressure group within the agricultural area, LRFThese four groups all have very different channels to the policy process on agricultural issues. In Sweden the social assistance from a historical perspective, has been a part of the social legislation, since the 18th century. In that time called poor relief. Through the centuries this has established the social assistance we have today. With focus on the child, we have attempted to illustrate how the social workers consider the child perspective when they are dealing with the social assistance. We wanted to get a view of how the social worker reasons about needs the children have and how they can see that the benefit has been provided for.

TitleSystems, Stability and Power. The Discourse of Information in Organizing Knowledge.AbstractThe aim of this Master's thesis is to inquire into the consequences of an unequal distribution of power between information discourses in the field of knowledge organisation. A deconstruction of Jennifer Rowley's and John Farrows introductory textbook Organizing Knowledge from 2000 is related to the major discourses of information in LIS. Questions posed in this study are: What meaning is ascribed to information in the material studied? Which information discourses are given a dominant position? Which are excluded? and: How does this affect the construction of the library and information science student's identity, in relation to practices of knowledge organisation? The theoretical framework is provided by Ernesto Laclau's and Chantal Mouffe's theory of discourse and combined with techniques for text analysis originating from the work of Norman Fairclough.The analysis reveals a strong domination of a cognitive discourse of information that underlines the importance of information systems for the organisation of knowledge.

Denna uppsats syftar till att undersöka hur kvinnor och män skildras i text. Genom att analysera ord som följer efter hans och hennes i en mängd texter bestående av nyhetsartiklar, insändare och skönlitterär text undersöks om och i så fall vilka skillnader som finns mellan hur kvinnor och män skildras i text. Genom att dela in orden i kategorier har det varit möjligt att studera och synliggöra mönster för hur de båda könen framställs. Uppsatsen har den kritiska diskursanalysen som teoretisk ram vilket möjliggör tolkning utifrån en större samhällelig nivå. Resultatet visar att kvinnor och män i jämförelse med tidigare forskning framställs som mer jämställda, men att påtagliga skillnader trots allt finns.

The aim of this study was to enlighten social workers experiences of social networks direct influence in Swedish social services, and in which ways those influences are manifested. Some of the issues that are being explored in this study are: The separation of the private sphere and professional duties; boundaries and dual relationships that occurs inside social networks; the use of social networks as a control-instrument in authority exercise towards clients; and social networks arising impact on social work. The empirical material was collected with nine qualitative interviews with social workers stationed at different social service departments in a Swedish municipality. Also one qualitative e-survey was sent out to, and answered by four social workers with a managerial position in the same municipality.The results reveal that several informants have experienced different problematic situations involving clients within the social networks. This study shows that the informants are very restrictive with what information (text and pictures) they publish on their facebook-profiles, because of their position of authority and the awareness of the possibility of always being watched.

To this date, mostly B2C companies have been successful in their social media strategies. This qualitative thesis aims to investigate how B2B companies can benefit from using social media as a means to communicate and build relations with their customers. The medtech industry has been chosen as the object of study.Through depth interviews with people in the medtech industry and social media experts, data has been collected in order to answer the questions of (1) how ready customers in the medtech industry are to receive information through social media and (2) how companies can build the best possible social media strategy.

Denna uppsats fokuserar på arbetstrivsel i människobehandlande organisationer, mer specifikt ett autismboende i en större stad i Skåne, med de speciella förhållanden som dessa innebär. Råmaterialet i dessa organisationer utgörs av människor ofta i behov av hjälp och stöd. Tidigare forskning visar på att arbetstrivsel är ett fenomen som har stor betydelse för både individ, grupp och samhälle. Det finns därför en stor vinst i att försöka sätta sig in i de aspekter som bidrar till att stärka respektive hota arbetstrivsel i organisationer. Därmed blir syftet med uppsatsen att undersöka vilka faktorer som bidrar respektive hotar arbetstrivseln på en psykisk påfrestande arbetsplats.En kvalitativ undersökning i form av halvstrukturerade intervjuer genomfördes inom en LSS - verksamhet.

This study examines the opinions of social workers regarding the social networks of people with a substance addiction. The intention was to get a more nuanced understanding of what characterizes a positive or negative social network, as well as which functions different types of social networks serve. Data were collected through qualitative interviews with seven social workers. More specifically the social workers were oriented towards working for social services with clients that struggle with substance abuse. The empirical material has been analyzed with a thematic analysis.
