Det offentliga rollspelet : En textanalys av tre kommuners offentliga kommunikation på Facebook
Aim With this study we want to highlight and analyze the media spin of the PR campaign Miss Skinny by clarifying; a diffusion pattern which covers posts published by bloggers and journalists; a framing pattern from the first audited post to the last; how journalists are influenced by user generated content, and what consequences this may have for the news coverage.Method We have conducted a studied of news posts and blog posts about the Swedish PR campaign Miss Skinny through content analysis, diffusion analysis and mapped direct links between blog posts and news posts.Main result We found that a surprisingly large amount of news postings contained direct links to previous blog posts and that the former media serial no longer can be applied on today's modern media where journalists and other players come together on the converged media arena. .
?Det feta barnet? : en diskursanalys av dagspressens framställning av barn som bedöms som överviktiga eller feta
The aim of this undergraduate thesis was to examine the media?s portrayal of overweight and obese children and their surroundings, using the first and third dimensions of Fairclough?s three dimensional model for critical discourse analysis. The study addressed the following questions: How does the press, in this study represented by two newspapers, portray overweight and obese children? What discourses regarding overweight and obesity among children are the most prominent in these two newspapers? What risks and negative influences in the child?s surroundings are identified, and how are they described? What social representations can the images of overweight and obese children originate from? The analyzed material consisted of 62 articles from Dagens Nyheter and Aftonbladet, which were analyzed using the earlier mentioned method for discourse analysis, as well as the theory of social representations. The results showed that ?the fat child? and its environment were portrayed exclusively in negative terms, and a discourse linking obesity and ill-health dominated a large part of the material.
"Så länge man kan motivera ett beslut": en vinjettstudie av variation i bedömning om ekonomiskt bistånd
The purpose of this study was to examine divergences in assessments of social assistance in one big and one small social welfare office in the municipalities of Malmö. To examine this we used a qualitative method. We held interviews with social workers and their superiors. At the end of the interviews with the social workers we presented two vignettes, describing different cases of first time applications of social assistance. The social workers was asked to assess whether the application should be granted or not, and motivate their decisions.

Yttrandefrihet i sociala medier
AbstractSweden has had a long tradition of freedom of the press and freedom of speech. Today the judicial area is regulated by the constitution of the press and the constitution of speech. The purpose of the two constitutions is to secure the right for every Swedish citizen to express their thoughts, opinions and feelings.The constitutions are designed to regulate the techniques with which the information is distributed and not to regulate the information in itself. This fact has caused a debate to arise on the subject whether the constitutions are still suitable to regulate the judicial area when the technical development causes the constitutions to get out of date and in need of constant updating. As a rule the usage of Social Media is not regulated by the constitution of speech the information distributed through these webpages can be included by the protection given by the constitution but very few of these webpages fulfill the criteria?s demanded by the constitution.The purpose of this essay is to ask the question whether the constitution of speech should be reformed to better regulate the technical development in the future.

At several occasions, an important question has been brought forward within the world of advertising and media. This is the question of whether or not ?good? advertising should be encouraged by the media. The question has an origin in a belief that such advertising can create values not only for the advertiser, but also for the medium. Although this question has arisen in business media, and although many managers work from the assumption that such relationship exists, there are none or little proof that it actually does.
Det orientaliska i fokus : en studie kring vad tryckt svensk media förmedlar för bilder av islam och "muslimer"
Uppsatsen behandlar och belyser vilka diskurser som präglar den allmänna debatten och rapporteringen kring religionen islam och dess utövare muslimer i "dagens" tryckta svenska nyhetsmedia. Huvuddelen av studien är koncentrerad till att fastställa hur de både begreppen islam och muslim framställs och definieras i empirin, men problematiken kring huruvida ett "vi" och "de andra" tänkande existerar berörs likväl. Vidare reflekteras över differenser i det empiriska materialet. Materialet påvisar att det finns skillnader mellan hur de både begreppen beskriv i olika genrer i de aktuella texterna. .

The use of streaming media such as Spotify has increased rapidly in recent years. Although the consumption side of Spotify is well established with over 10 million users, the medium might provide new unexploited opportunities as an advertising channel. The purpose of this thesis is to increase knowledge about advertising through streaming media and in particular via Spotify. To contribute to such knowledge we have conducted a case study to investigate how Spotify can be used and serve as an advertising medium for a smaller firm, Hasseludden Yasuragi, so that it may reach its target group. To examine the medial effect, a quantitative as well as a qualitative study was carried out using the ARF Model as a basic framework.
Ungdomar och social integration i Malmö: En kvantitativ och kvalitativ studie om ungdomars upplevelser av och syn på social integration i deras vardag
This paper examines, through questionnaire, how young students in upper secondary school in Malmo experience social integration. It also contain what they think should be done in order to improve the integration between youth that are ethnic Swedish and youth that have a foreign background. To understand the subject we started with a review over Swedish integration politic and its influence over Malmo and social integration in the country. We have used such theoretical starting points as identity and ethnicity in relations to the social surroundings, social affinity theory and flexible mindedness, making of groups among youth and factors to promote social integration. Our conclusion is that the experience of social integration between the two groups depends on how you experience yourself.

Social enterprises make up one of the groups of participants that provide welfare services financed by public funding. The object of this study is to describe and analyze from a theoretical point of view which conditions, in what fields, by which division of responsibility and finally through what decisions these social enterprises are allocated a place in the market for social welfare services. The company that has been the object of study offers services in the field of social welfare and in employment. In the study a triangulation of qualitative methods has been used: studies of literature on the subject, recurrent interviews and observations and also reviews of documents. The results have been analyzed from theories on the space available on the market for social services, on social economy and on social capital in the form of strong, weak and bridging bonds.
"Förut visste jag inte riktigt vem jag var..." : Om projektet Ungbos betydelse för ungdomar och socialsekreterare i Kalmar kommun
The purpose of this essay was to examine what Ungbo in Kalmar has meant for the adolescent from their point of view and to examine the social workers opinions of Ungbo.My questions were: What expectations did the adolescent and the social workers have on Ungbo? How has these expectations been fulfilled? What expectations does the social workers think the adolescents has on Ungbo? How is the impact of involvement for the adolescents when planning the living environment in Ungbo? What changes has Ungbo brought to the adolescent? What changes has Ungbo brought in the work of the social workers? What does Ungbo mean for the adolescent? What does Ungbo mean for the social workers and what experiences does the social workers have on the importance of Ungbo for the adolescents? How has the teamwork been working around the adolescent during the time at Ungbo?The questions were answered by asking four adolescents and two social workers with their experiences of Ungbo. My study showed that Ungbo was of importance for the adolescents that has been a part of the project, but it is also important in the work of the social workers. The adolescents noticed a change in them selves after their stay in Ungbo. The social workers were positive to Ungbo but they felt a need for others resembling activities in Kalmar..
En kritisk diskursanalys av svenska dags- och kvällstidningars framställande av ADHD
The aim of this study is to examine how ADHD is discussed in the Swedish mass media. We have examined 21 articles from Aftonbladet, Expressen, Dagens Nyheter, Göteborgs-Posten and Svenska Dagbladet. All articles are reviewed from the newspapers online edition.Theories used are Erving Goffman?s theory of Stigma and Michael Foucault´s theory of categorization as well as Göran Palm's, Renée Skogersson's and Anders R. Olsson's theories about mass media.

De sex individerna är innovators för sitt arbete med sociala medier och har sina egna förståelser för vad sociala medier är.

The purpose of this study has been to examine how customers, by interacting with each other, can communicate and create the image of a brand. We find this topic to be relevant since there are no previous studies conducted concerning the customers influence on the brand image. Our ambition has been to describe in what ways and to what extent the customer can affect and influence the brand image by communicating with other customers. To fulfill our purposed we have targeted three important questions which are:? In which ways can the customer affect the communicated image of a brand?? To what extent can the customer influence the brand image and the perceived value?? Who has control over the brand, the customer or the company?For this study we have used a qualitative approach in which we have conducted eight personal interviews with brand consultants and the editor of the magazine Dagens Media which has given us the foundation for our analysis.
Den aktiva mannen, den passiva kvinnan: norrbottnisk medias gestaltning av kvinnor och män ur ett diskursanalytiskt perspektiv
Det övergripande målet för svensk jämställdhetspolitik är att kvinnor och män ska ha samma möjligheter, rättigheter och skyldigheter inom alla områden i livet och det råder politisk enighet om detta. Trots denna enighet är vårt samhälle fortfarande inte jämställt. Varför? Luleå Tekniska Universitet har genomfört en studie av norrbottnisk medias gestaltning av kvinnor och män, med ambitionen att skapa en grund för en bredare diskussion om hur kvinnor och män skildras i media. Studien visade att 72% av alla nyheter handlade om män och 18% handlade om kvinnor.
