The European Union's long-term budget negotiations during the summer of 2005 were obstructed from being successful due to a quite fierceful debate about the future guidelines of the Common Agricultural Policy. A quarrel about money and who gets what, was the common answer as to why it took the European leaders six months to accept the budget, and quite rightfully. This essay, however, goes beneath those explanations and tries to see what other reasons there might be for such a phenomena.With a new institutionalistic approach this study seeks to see what underlying reasons for why an institution such as CAP is so resistant to change. With special attention to the new historical institutionalism and the rational choice institutionalism the study successfully shows that though the front laying reasons to the problems with the budget might have been economical, several other factors also affected the outcome of the budget negotiations.Structures, national identity and decisions taken when outlining the Common Agricultural Policy in the 1960's still affect the European union, its members and foremost of all, the Policy/institution itself..

Fibromyalgia is a chronic pain disorder. It affects muscles and connective tissue. It's a very complex disorder that has no adequate treatment or cure. The research has progressed but there are still some questions to be answered. Quality of life for these patients is decreased and leads to suffering.

Examensarbetets mål har varit att formge en glasserie åt Skrufs Glasbruk där huvudanvändarna är personer med nedsatt handfunktion. Detta har skett i samarbete med hjälpmedelsföretaget GreppEtt.Intervjuer, observationer och enkätundersökningar har legat till grund för arbetet. Som komplement har även research gjorts på olika diagnoser som kan ge nedsatt handfunktion. För att knyta detta till ett produktorienterat sammanhang har research även gjorts inom ergonomi.Designprocessen har gått ut på att ta fram ett vin-, vatten- och ölglas. ITK (Identity Tool Kit) och funktionsanalys har satt ramar för projektarbetet.Två förslag på glasserier togs fram och med modeller av dessa gjordes användartester på personer med nedsatt handfunktion.

Uppsatsen behandlar hur Sveriges syn på Estland, uttryckt i Riksdagsdebatten, förändras från 1985 till 2008, analyserat ur ett identitetspolitiskt perspektiv. Identitetspolitik innebär att självidentifikationen av en stat primärt bygger på identifieringen av "de andra" och att upprättandet av en gräns gentemot "de" skapar utrikespolitik. Undersökningen bygger på en kvalitativ analys av riksdagstryck från den berörda perioden och fokuserar på beskrivningen av Estland i debatten. Författaren menar att det under denna tid finns ett flertal tydliga tendenser till förändring som mynnar ut i Estland går från att vara något som omnämns ytterst försiktigt och endast med bakgrund av Kalla Kriget till att bli ett europeiskt Östersjöland som är en nära samarbetspartner för Sverige. In September of year 2006, a young boy was brutally killed by a girl, age sixteen, in Örebro, Sweden. Girlgangs became a frequent subject in media. Professionals? working with adolescents claims that girlgangs notis an existing phenomena in Sweden as it is in for example in the United States. The aim of this thesis was to investigate if teenage girls in Sweden have a tendency to join gangs as they do in the United States.

This study examines from a gender perspective how the gender distribution is viewed in the content of Göteborgs-Posten's sports pages and the short and long term effects of the the newspaper's gender equality plan that was introduced in 2005. It is a quantitative study for two sample periods, 2005 and 2009, that investigates how many articles in the newspaper which is about women's sports and male sports. Michel Foucault's theory of discourse is central to the study, his view of identity in society and how these are represented fit well on gender issues in sports journalism. The results show that women's sport is greatly subordinate to man's sport in terms of number of articles. The gender equality plan has not had any noticeable effects on Göteborgs-Posten's sports pages. This is due to a variety of factors ? economic aspects weigh heavily in this problem. .

Tillfälliga anställningar har de senaste 20 åren blivit allt vanligare påarbetsmarknaden till följd av större konkurrens och arbetsgivarenskrav på flexibilitet. Tidigare studier visar att tillfälligt anställda kännerett visst utanförskap och missnöje. Huvudsyftet med studien är därföratt, med stöd av Social Identity Theory och Parkers modell (2003) ompsykologiskt klimat, testa om tillfälligt anställda upplever sämrearbetsgruppssammanhållning och arbetsattityder än fast anställda.Enkäter skickades ut till 796 sjuksköterskor och sedan gjordesberäkningar med t-tester för oberoende stickprov. Resultatetbekräftade tidigare teori om sambandet mellan psykologiskt klimat ocharbetsattityder dvs. ju bättre arbetsgruppssammanhållning desto bättrearbetsattityder.

På grund av krig eller andra umbäranden i hemlandet tvingas människor på flykt från olika delar av världen. En del av dessa kommer till Sverige. Under de senaste åren har en ny grupp flyktingar kommit till vårt land. De ensamkommande flyktingbarnen, som utgör en extra utsatt grupp då de inte bara ska hantera upplevda kriser och migrationskris, utan också genomgå den kris tonårsperioden med identitetssökande innebär. Syftet med föreliggande intervjustudie är att öka kunskapen om dessa flyktingbarns situation, gällande identitetsskapande under påverkan av migrationskris och tonårskris.

The aim of this Master?s thesis is to explore the meaning of literature forliterate immigrants in regards to identity and integration. The study is based onqualitative interviews with eight Swedes of various backgrounds, but with thecommon experience of an immigration process. In addition to being migrants, therespondents are also public library users who have an interest in literature and whoread literature during their leisure time. To analyze the empirical material ananalytical framework, consisting of a number of analytical concepts from Libraryand Information Science, Literature Science, and Sociology, has been used.

Mitt examensarbete har gjorts i samarbete med Skrufs Glasbruk som är ett familjeföretag beläget i Småland. Skrufs Glasbruk står för klarglas, enkelt formspråk som görs på traditionellt sätt och inriktar sig på vardagliga bruks­föremål.Uppdraget gick ut på att formge en glasartefakt till hemmiljö, en värmeljus­lykta eller lampa, som ska passa in i Skrufs sortiment. Syftet har varit att öka förståelsen för samarbetet mellan mig som designer och min uppdragsgivare. Målet var att utveckla min kompetens inom glastillverkning i kombination med ljuset.Som utgångspunkt i mitt arbete har observationer och intervjuer gjorts samt ljustester löpande under hela projektet. I min designprocess har fokus legat på formarbetet och ITK (identity tool kit).

Background: Men that have gone through treatment for prostate cancer may lose their sexuality as result of treatment. The sexual ability might symbolize manliness, despite age and sexual activities. Aim: The aim of the literature study was to describe; Influence on sexuality and the daily life for men with prostatecancer and their experience of informationneeds. Method: The material for the literature study was searched through databases; 13 scientific articles were selected and two articles through manual search, all 15 articles were examined. Result: Five categories were found in the result of the literature study; physical dimension, emotional/mental dimension, social/practical dimension and informationneeds.

Self-harm is common among young people in Sweden. Therefore people who work with these young people need to have knowledge about self-harm to be able to provide the right help. The aim of this study was to investigate how the individual experience self-harm, and how this could be understood. The empirical material has been based on consisted of 28 life stories. 24 of them were written by women and 4 by men.

The purpose with this thesis is to analyse images in the confirmationbook Via Mystica from a gender perspective. By using two different ways to analyse the pictures, a content analysis and a semiotic picture analysis, the result was as follows: The pictures of men an women fortifies the construction of gender. The girls in the pictures are represented as caregivers and comforters, while the boys are represented as strong and tough. The four pictures from the semiotic picture analyses showed how easy it was to categorise the men and the women in the photos in opposing stereotypes. The women are percieved as weak and submissive while the men were either strong criminals or a strong hero.

Syftet med studien var att beskriva överensstämmelsen mellan elevernas uppfattning och Carlforsska gymnasiets menade budskap med ?The Carlforsska experience?. Eleverna i detta fall var elever som gick i årskurs åtta på Skiljeboskolan i Västerås. För att beskriva överensstämmelsen gjordes en fallstudie där empiri insamlades genom intervjuer, där det togs reda på om vilka skillnader och likheter som fanns mellan elevernas uppfattning och den varumärkesidentitet som Carlforsska gymnasiet ville förmedla med ?The Carlforsska experience?.

AbstractMy purpose with this essey is to study how they work in preschool whir language- stimulation. I will try a way to work with this trough intervjus whit teacher at preschool. My main questions are: Way dose teachers use language- stimulation? How dose teachers use language- stimulation when it comes to there way of working and methods? Do the teachers think that language- stimulation help the childrens development?To answer these questions I interviewed 6 teachers I central Sweden and used this as data. I have written about language, language- development in a biologik and theoretical aspect, teachers plan, language- stimulation, playing by language sounds and TRAS (early registration of language development) in my literary review.My result shows that working whit language- stimulation helps children in there language- development, it also develops there self-image and identity.
