SVT is Sweden?s largest TV-network and broadcasts more then 22 000 hours of TV each year. SVT is a public service company where the basic idea is to reflect the world from different perspectives and news is very important for providing neutral and versatile information in a variety of areas. An important part of the flow of information is to continuously receive reports from all corners of the world around the clock. This places very high demands on the technology used and it is important that it function and develops to meet current and future growing needs.

Syfte: Syftet med studien är att undersöka hur SMART Board användas som ett pedagogiskt redskap i undervisningen inom årskurs 1 till 5. Detta med utgångspunkt i ett specialpedagogiskt perspektiv, där SMART Board sätts i relation till möjligheten att vara ett verktyg, samt del av ett förebyggande arbete, som eventuellt kan underlätta inlärning och/eller skolgång för elever som kan möta olika svårigheter i skolmiljön.Teori: Teorianknytningen i studien utgår ifrån det sociokulturella perspektivet.Det sociokulturella perspektivet grundas i att sociala konstruktioner påverkar den verklighet vi lever i och uppfattar, samt att kunskap är en konstruerad representation av verkligheten. Studien anknyter även till det specialpedagogiska forskningsområdet där det är studier omkring det preventiva arbetet som står som forskningsobjekt.Metod: Undersökningen utgår ifrån en kvalitativ studie där observation och intervju används som metod för att förstå människors beskrivningar och uppfattningar. Observationsstudien är en minietnografiskt inspirerad studie och intervjustudien utgår ifrån den kvalitativa forskningsintervjun. Resultatet bearbetas och beskrivs utifrån en tolkande ansats.Resultat:Resultatet från undersökningen påvisar att SMART Board kan vara ett pedagogiskt redskap, som kan underlätta inlärningen för elever.

This report describes a bachelor thesis work performed at the cloud storage company CloudMe in Linköping, Sweden. The storage service provided by CloudMe allows users to access their files seamlessly from multiple units at the same time. In the cloud there is storage provided for contacts, calendar and e-mail, which is data nowadays normally used by smart phones.Exchange ActiveSync is a protocol developed by Microsoft which, among much more, provides functionality to synchronize the previously described data. This protocol is supported by the smart phone developers and the ability to synchronize over the exchange protocol is implemented in products by default. Due to this fact it would be preferable to implement support for synchronization from CloudMe to phones over this protocol.

Syftet med detta examensarbete är att studera om SMART Cable Bolt kan användas som en mätmetod och som en del i utvärderingen av det förstärkningssystem som LKAB använder sig av i dagsläget. I och med att man tar ut berg när man bryter malmen så ändras spänningsförhållandena och stabilitetsproblem kan uppstå då spänningarna överskrider bergmassans hållfasthet. LKAB:s gruva i Malmberget består av ett tjugotal malmkroppar varav man idag bedriver brytning i hälften. Stabilitetsproblemen varierar i storlek och omfattning mellan de olika malmkropparna. I Alliansens malmkropp, som är i fokus för detta examensarbete, är det framför allt i de längsgående orterna som problemen uppkommer.

This report is an analysis of the gender representation in Swedish sports media, a comparison between sport in public service television for adults and children. The study explores the differences between the number of male and female sports in the matter of air time and also the number of male and female appearances in the TV shows. The programs studied in this report are the Swedish SVT?s Sportspegeln and Lilla sportspegeln. When we began this analysis we were under the impression that men would be over-represented, but that representation in sports television for children would be more gender equal than the adult counterpart. The result of the analysis confirmed previous studies stating that men dominate the sports programs in Swedish public service television.

This report is written for a consultant networking company with the purpose to review the development ofthe company's remote connections from a user friendly and security perspective.This includes an investigation of the possibilities to consolidate existing authentication methods foraccessing customers. The problem lies in the amount of methods being used. Through case study wefound that smart cards, SMS-service, software and hardware tokens exist.The only method feasible from a security perspective is smart cards. Since the method is not commonlyused by the company's customers a standardization of it would be counterproductive.Also, the purpose of this report is to investigate how the ongoing internal development of the remoteconnection will affect the company's clients. Within this framework we have also verified a designsuggestion.We interpret, after the completion of the case study, that the internal development of the remoteconnection is marginally affected by legal perspectives.

Web 2.0 is a relatively new concept which has made significant progress on the Internet. More recently, corporations as well have begun to get use of the different types of applications that are assigned to the Web 2.0. Organizations are primarily interested in making use of Web 2.0 in two areas: inside the company to increase efficiency and productivity, and from the organization to the customer to improve revenue and customer satisfaction. We have chosen to take a closer look at this last area, as can be seen as a CRM context. Our interest is to investigate how such a context may change by implementing some kind of Web 2.0 technology.

Datoranvändare nyttjar idag Internet i sitt dagliga arbete, webbapplikationer är vanligt förekommande vid detta arbete. Prestanda hos webbapplikationer (thin clients) är dock av många orsaker väldigt begränsad jämfört med rich clients, detta tillsammans med övriga begränsningar hos thin clients har medfört att en klienttyp som sammanfogar fördelarna hos rich clients med fördelarna hos thin clients blivit allt mer efterfrågad. Smart Clients bygger på en fusion mellan rich clients och thin clients, Smart Clients är ett relativt nytt koncept som utvecklats av Microsoft med utgångspunkten att klienter ska vara lätta att administrera och uppdatera. Samtidigt ska möjligheten att använda lokala resurser både i form av mjukvara och hårdvara finnas, för att effektivt hantera den beräkning, visualisering och lagring som klienten nyttjar. Slutligen bör en Smart Client dra nytta av funktionalitet hos servers för att ge användaren tillgång till aktuell information.

This thesis describes the introduction of Web 2.0 education into Swedish LIS education with emphasis on the driving forces and obstacles in the process. It also discusses the possibilities of estimating the appropriate time for the start of new educational courses introducing new technologies, when it is uncertain if the technologies in question will sustain for a long enough period of time to make the educational effort worthwhile. The data on the Web 2.0 education was collected during the spring of 2010 from the Web pages of the five LIS departments in Sweden, namely Borås, Lund, Umeå, Uppsala and Växjö, as well as by 10 interviews during November and December 2010 with two representatives from each LIS department..The key finding is that Web 2.0 is covered in Swedish LIS education and embracing both practical and theoretical issues. The main driving forces have been both the needs of the profession and an academic research interest. It is concluded that Rogers??S-curves? as described in ?Diffusion of Innovation? can be used as a tool in order to improve the understanding of when to introduce education in new technologies.

The following essay is a descriptive and analyzing study in how the local Tanzanian NGO MVIWANYA works to disseminate sustainable agricultural technologies to the farmer households in Rorya District, Mara. It also presents and analyzes the reception and impacts these new technologies have on the households. Information was gathered during two weeks of field work at the organization in Tanzania. It was conducted empirically through interviews with and observations of small-scale farmer members of MVIWANYA and the staff of the organization. The gathered material is analyzed and presented with the help of a theoretical model designed by Birner et al.

Business and organizations use computer network in a greater extension than ever before, especially for business-critical use. That increase the demand of security for all systems, both against internal and external threats. The demand on the authentication method used today increases. Today they normally uses password or some kind of smart card. I will performa literature study that will investigate the possibility to increase the security in authentication of users without the use of extra hardware.

Syftet med denna undersökning är att med hjälp av två vetenskapliga metoder, kvalitativa intervjuer och användardagböcker ta reda på hur användares mobila brukarvanor ser ut och vilka typer av tjänster kan de ligga till grund för baserat på ett Smart city-perspektiv. Arbetet kommer även att analysera och utveckla metodiken för fortsatta studier inom ämnet.Mobilen har under de senaste åren utvecklats till att bli en enhet där dess ursprungliga telefonfunktioner blivit sekundära egenskaper. Dess främsta ändamål är fortfarande för att kommunicera med andra, men i första hand genom andra typer av tjänster. Man kan idag även se hur utvecklingen går från ett bruk av digitala tjänster där varje enhet har specifika syften, till ett bruk där enheter samarbetar och delar ett gemensamt syfte. I och med att vårt bruk, och våra vanor, av dessa enheter förändras, så förändras även naturen hos tjänsterna de tillhandahåller.

The Island of Öland has one of the best wind climates for land based wind power in Sweden. An objective for the Island is to become self sufficient using electricity from renewable source of energy such as wind. There is currently 55 MW capacity installed on the Island and it is estimated that grid congestion will occasionally occur if more than 135 MW was installed.The aim of this thesis is to investigate he possibilities for load management by smart charging of electric vehicles, EV. The definition of smart charging is that the charging is done to some extent with an ICT-system, (information and communication technology) that correlates wind electricity generation to the charging of electric vehicles. The purpose is to avoid grid congestions on the sub-sea cable that connects Öland to the mainland because that in turn would curtail wind energy production.
