Detta arbete innefattar en kartering av natrium- och COD-flöden i ett pappersmassabruk, samt en jämförelse med tidigare utförda karteringar. Med hjälp av analysdata från massaprover och filtrat kan tvätteffektivitet i massabruk beskrivas i olika matematiska modeller. I denna rapport har tvätteffektiviteten valts att presenteras med hjälp av en massbalans, tvättutbyte. Analyserna på massaproverna har gjorts på urkramat prov. Resultatet visar att jämfört med tidigare karteringar har tvättförlusterna ut ur sista tvättapparat på björkmassalinjen minskat med avseende på COD men inte med avseende på natrium.

This papers specific ques-tionsare, 1) is analyzing and intepretation of images, subjective ?, 2) needs the subjectivityto be handled to limit arbitrariness and distortion ?, 3) is it appropriate to use a filterof awarerness as an aid to handle the subjectivity ? Detta examensarbete är en del av SNOD-projektet vid Totalförsvarets Forskningsinstitut (FOI), vars syfte är att utveckla ett sensorsystem med infraröda- och videosensorer och integrerat navigationssystem. Sensorsystemet är placerat i en kameragimbal och kan användas på rörliga plattformar, t ex UAV:er, för övervakning och rekognoscering. Gimbalen är till för att möjliggöra inriktning av sensorerna i önskad riktning.Detta examensarbete behandlar en metod för inmätning av målkoordinater från den rörliga plattformen, det s k QWIP/MASP-systemet. Detta efterliknar ett UAV-system. Metoden för inmätning baseras på ett extended information filter där målkoordinaterna filtreras fram.

The purpose of this essay is to present a thesis work that has been executed during a period of 10 weeks, as part of a bachelor degree in Graphic Design and Communication and also to present what has led to the design of a sales brochure for the freely distributed lifestyle magazine LKPG. The purpose of the thesis work was to examine the answers to the questions ?What does clients and local company owners want to achieve from their advertising in newspapers and magazines?? and ?How should a sales brochure for a freely distributed lifestyle magazine be designed to be at most advantage and out of most interest to its clients??. The work has been carried out through an competitors analysis, qualitative interviews, literature studies and a survey on the target group. The findings of the work are that the market of freely distributed  magazines, both nationally and locally, is extremely wide and has many similar competitors.

The engine of JAS 39 Gripen, RM12, has recently been equipped with a new flameholder and a new engine inlet. This change has caused an increased noise level from the engine when the afterburner is in use. The noise level reaches its peak when the afterburner is partially used. The problem is thought to be unstable combustion in the regions around the flameholder. A solution to the problem has been proposed by Volvo Aero.

Det här arbetet innefattar webbtillgänglighet med avseende hur väl ett antal utvalda universitet och högskolor följer de riktlinjer för personer med läs- och skrivsvårigheter. Problemet med att inte ha en webbtillgänglig webbplats är att en stor grupp av personer som går miste om innehållet. Det är dessutom inte bara personer med läs- och skrivsvårigheter som blir drabbade, utan det är även personer med andra livssituationer som drabbas. Syftet med arbetet är att ta fram rekommendationer och finna lösningar som gör att universitet och högskolors webbplatser blir tillgängliga för alla. Analysen som görs i arbetet är baserad på W3C WAI:s riktlinjer om tillgänglighet och är avgränsad till användare med dyslexi.

Högtalare består idag ofta av flera högtalarelement, avsedda för olika frekvensområden. Signalen som driver dessa måste delas upp genom att oönskade frekvenskomponenter filtreras bort ur respektive utgående signal. Normalt görs detta med passiva komponenter i högtalarlådan. I denna rapport beskrivs arbetet med att ta fram ett digitalt system för att ersätta dessa passiva filter. Teoridelen tar metodiskt läsaren till en relevant kravspecifikation för systemet.

The aim of this study is to examine the collection One Thousand and One Nights (also: The Arabian Nights) from a european perspective, by comparing different european translations. The study focuses on three translations into Swedish from different periods of time and how the tales have changed in the translation process - depending on the prevailing line of approach and Western perceptions of Eastern standards. The thesis of the study is that Eastern culture, from a Western perspective, has been seen as exotic and different but not as a high literary culture and that this view has affected the translations into european languages. The study shows, among other things, that Western culture is many times considered normative in the translations and that the translators often give their own voices a prominent role, also that common Western notions of the East affects the translations.The word ?orientalism? is used frequently in the study and it refers primarily to the image of the Orient as it is described in Edward Saids' book Orientalism: as a Western construction whose main purpose is to strengthen its own conception of the Orient and thereby strengthen the Western identity as better than the Orient.

This master thesis includes a description of how a number of sensors are put together in a sensor platform. It also gives a description of how localization and mapping has been performed with data collected from the sensor platform. Localization is a prerequisite for most of the tasks that can be requested from an autonomous mobile robot. In many situations the GPS signal is not available and hence an additional localization system is required. One approach is to apply localization based on landmarks extracted from the robots surrounding.

An Interoperable Fare Management system for public transport has been a struggle for the actors in industry of public transport. A lot of effort has been put into creating a smart card solution that enables the travellers to use the same card for paying and holding the ticket regardless geographical position in Sweden. That project has failed, mostly due to a lack of taking non-technical actors and aspects into consideration during the project process. This thesis highlights the major actors and their responsibilities. The ARKTRANS framework is used as analytical tool to identify different roles. Throughout the thesis a sociotechnical perspective is used. The developed method in this thesis is suitable for mapping of actors and responsibilities in a network surrounding a complex technical system.

The Swedish traffic system is congested, especially in the urban areas; travellers face daily growing traffic jams and delays in public transport. In a congested traffic system, travellers need support to make smart and sustainable decisions and one such tool is traffic information.One issue today is that too few travellers use traffic information in support of their travel. Research shows that travellers would see great value in receiving the information; however current systems do not meet their requirements. This is a problem since the society would benefit greatly from a well functioning traffic information system.In this report, a number of channels that can be applicable for providing traffic information will be explored, with particular emphasis on interference information.The information channels are analyzed based upon the needs and requirements of the society and the traveller. The thesis of the report is: the more of these needs and requirements are met in a channel; the better is the channel to use for traffic information.

In a logistics organization this flow of information is equally important as in any other kind of organization. In this paper we have explored information flows in logistics organizations by applying, boundary spanning and the mobile-stationary divide perspective. In boundary spanning the main goal is to erase or relocate some of the boundaries within an organization, in our case to make the flow of information internally as well as externally better.

Detta medför andra utmaningar gällande elektrifieringen än vad som finns vid en installation ovan jord där den är mer permanent. Att bibehålla en god selektivitet i en underjordsgruva är en sådan utmaning. Kabellängder förändras och delar i anläggningen tillkommer eller tas bort.I en del av ABB:s vision om ?Smart Mine Power? har New Boliden AB visat sitt intresse av att modernisera elektrifieringen i Kankbergsgruvan och undersöka ifall det är möjligt att införa en dynamisk selektivitet.
