Syftet är att genom en textanalys undersöka hur konsthantverk används och tolkas som ideologiska och politiska budskap. Fokus ligger på fyra olika tematiker nämligen DIY ? Do ityourself, craftivism, välgörenhet och miljöfrågor. Frågeställningar som ska besvaras är hurkonsthantverk och slöjd framställs som ideologi i dag och hur man kan förstå den ideologiskarörelsen inom konsthantverk som en del av en historisk process.Tidigare forskning ger en bild av hur ämnet behandlats av olika forskare och en historiskttillbakablick på konsthantverkets roll i samhället.Analysen behandlar texter om nutida rörelser och ideologier inom hantverk och är struktureradefter de fyra tematikerna. DIY är den första vars vision är att uppmuntra den egna kreativaförmågan som ett motstånd mot dagens konsumtion och massproduktion.

The goals have been workedout during the work and has resulted inthat we want to extend the inner city streetand linking Johanneshov with surroundingdistricts, but we also want to create a wellused, diverse, urban area where the humanis in focus and a district that is easy to read.Much of the work is devoted to show howStockholm has developed historical and totry to put the future in a context, but also a lotof work has been put in the information andthe analysis of the site chapter. The plan proposalis still considered to be the work focus.Johanneshov is surrounded by Årsta inthe west, Hammarbyhöjden in the east,Enskede in the south and Södermalm inthe north. Gullmarsplan is a typical 40thcentury area with a functionalist structure.Johanneshov is with Gullmarsplan,the Globe an the Slaughterhousearea, an important node for the southernsuburbs as a place for communication,sports, entertainment and shopping.Today Nynäsvägen divides the area intoa western and an eastern part.

Från början hade vi ställt in oss på att vi ville hitta ett nytt sätt på hur man kan designa IT-relaterade produkter med ungdomars välmående och hälsa i tanke. Detta visade sig inte vara den lättaste uppgift två interaktionsdesigners, utan någon som helst bakgrund eller insyn om människors välmående, kunde tänka sig. Efter mycket efterforskning både i böcker och på Internet började vi förstå att vi inte var ensamma i vårt mål att motverka att stress uppstår i relation till dagens informations teknik. Flera andra forskare med bakgrund inom sjukdomar, rehabilitering och medicin hade varit aktiva inom fältet men bara ett fåtal interaktionsdesigners innan oss hade försökt sig på något liknande. Vi fick mycket inspiration från deras tidigare projekt och vi har försökt använda oss utav deras kunskaper och resultat.

The Swedish coastal defence took on a whole new meaning after the introduction of the coastal artillery in 1902. The establishment of the coastal artillery meant that the Swedish military had access to a whole new military branch, in addition to the Army and the Navy. Under the direction of one general, two regiments were established. One in Vaxholm and the second in the naval city of Karlskrona. The aim of this essay is to investigate how the Costal Artillery were established, by analyzing the parliamentary of the year 1901.

To have a forest area close to the city is of great importance for the city population?s well being. Children develop their motor skills, concentration and imagina-tion and the adults have a place to shake of the stress from work. Forest areas are used to exercise at, play in and to find a moment of peace and silence. The urban forest and the old farming pastures at Markussonvallen and Per-Isakssonvallen already has natural assets worth to preserve and a great potential to create more. The goal is to develop a forest with a variation of tree species and ground vegetation that will appeal to the human senses and different animal species such as birds, insects etc.

This means that companies need to market themselves effectively, to convince and get across their message to their customers. Marketing is an extensive process in which different factors must be taken into account. A company must know what the coustomer needs in order to get through to them.

Slow fashion är ett begrepp som funnits i decennier, men som fått fäste de senaste åren. Det är ett mode som kan bana väg för framtidens textilbransch och med denna rapport undersöks hur man kan lyfta fram och uppmärksamma fler människor på att dessa alternativ av företag finns. Denna uppsats är en fallstudie av ett svenskt företag som närproducerar kläder.

Researchers at Karlstad University have developed a method for making paper ion conducting. The reasearchers want to test this technique in various applications and produce products that make use of the ion-conducting paper. Hopefully this will drive the development forward and result in new applications for the ion-conducting paper.This study was to test the possibility of manufacturing a gas sensor of conducting paper along with electrodes of conductive polymers printed on the paper. By comparing the paper sensor with an electrochemical cell in which the electrodes of conductive polymer replaces electrodes of metal and ion-conductive paper replaces the liquid electrolyte in the electrochemical cell, it was hoped that it would be possible to measure the oxidation and reduction reactions that a gas could introduce at the electrodes.It was shown that it is possible to measure a potential difference in the range of 0.3 V to 0.5 V between the electrodes when exposing an electrode to 100% oxygen. The reaction that takes place is relatively slow and the reaction rate is partly due to the distance between the electrodes.Since the sensor can measure oxidation and reduction reactions it is possible that, in further development of a sensor, the sensor can be made ??into a versatile sensor with more applications than gas measurement as there are many more ways to oxidize or reduce the electrodes than by exposure to oxygen.During the study there have been discussions and meetings held with various companies in the sensor industry to be able to specify what the market demands of a sensor made ??of paper and the requirements that must be placed on the sensor for it to be interesting for the companies..

Cultural heritages are environments created by humans that are considered to have a conservation value for the posterity. They can be seen as one of society's non renewable resources. It is important to have knowledge of how cultural heritages are affected by future climate changes.The water flow in Uppsala is estimated to increase during winter and decrease during spring and summer. Precipitation will gradually increase as well as the intense short period precipitation. The average temperature is estimated to increase as well.

The aim of this thesis is to examine whether law reforms in the detailed planning process can be an aspect that gets in conflict with the citizens rights to participate in the Swedish planning through dialogue, and how five chosen municipalities are working with citizen participation. To be able to answer the aim of the thesis a literature study and five semi-structured interviews was performed in purpose to get wide-ranging information from municipal officials working with detailed planning handling. Law changes that aims to make the detailed planning process more efficient has been implemented partly to satisfy the needs of dwellings since the detailed planning process among master builders seems to be slow and inefficient, which to the them means higher costs. The requirement on having a detailed planning program was taken away when the new planning law was adopted year 2011. The planning program was including a moment of citizen dialogue. The case studied municipalities have not been affected in this law change arguing that it?s still possible to bring a program if needed.

Örnsköldsviks kommun påbörjade 2005 ett projekt som kallas Världsklass 2015 bland annat med anledning att få bukt med nedåtgående befolkningssiffror. För att nå den vision som projektet eftersträvar ligger en viktig del i att stärka stadens varumärke. I problembakgrunden har vi sett att det finns mycket kvar att upptäcka inom det teoretiska området city branding. Många städer förstår inte fullt ut hur de ska utveckla och kontrollera sina varumärken. Det har visats att konventionella teorier från corporate branding området även går att använda för att analysera en stads varumärke.

Utbyggnaden av externhandeln under de senaste decennierna har medfört en ökad konkurrens för cityhandeln i Sverige. De olika marknadsplatserna präglas av en allt större likriktning av butiksutbudet, framför allt när det gäller andelen kedjebutiker. Detta gäller främst externhandelns köpcentrum, men är även ett fenomen i stadskärnornas gallerior. Cityhandeln bör differentiera sin produkt gentemot externhandeln för att locka kunderna till city. Detta kan ske genom att exempelvis erbjuda en bred butiksmix.

The essay focuses on the blacklisted restriction of passive sales in the block exemption to Article 101 TFEU on vertical agreements. It confirms the authors' thesis that the distinction between active and passive sales do not cause any problems in the theory, but that the reality shows the opposite. The analysis further shows that more detailed guidelines probably would not solve the problem but rather it is the objectives behind the rules and practice that causes confusion.The essay questiones whether the changes in the new guidelines for the block exemption also involves a change in the Commission's approach to the restrictions on passive sales when the same purposes as before lies behind the rules, where the goal of an integrated market is the most important. The impact of the so called "economic approach" within practice since the 1990s, when it was first introduced, suggests that changes are slow. The essay requests a greater openness to the fact that the realization of a single market and the desire to move closer to the commercial reality of companies collide.One proposed solution is given, where the rules would be designed so that 'absolute territorial protection' is prohibited, contractually and de facto, and that it is left open for companies to determine if their actions lead to this.

Ruins and derelict places have since long fascinated and attracted humans. With my starting point in the wild vegetation and the spontaneous activities taking place on derelict land and in industrial ruins, I explore with help from the theoretical sociology, what creates not only this fascination but also fear. The purpose of the thesis is to explore and exemplify how the industrial ruin as a place outside the restrictions and control as well as design intentions of modern society can be used as an inspiration in a landscape architecture context.The modern city consists of areas and places with a well defined purpose. A piece of derelict land or a disused building is instead ambiguous, undefined and open for new purposes. However described in negative terms, these placesare often perceived as places of mystery and magic.

Organic food is produced in a way that strives towards maintaining and improving natural resources. The welfare of both producers and consumers is central, also taking both animals and the environment into account. The Swedish government finds this important and in 2006 they made a resolution that the consumption of organic food should be stimulated. The goal was that 25 % of the municipalities? consumption of food should be organic in 2010.The municipality of Ludvika reached the government's target in 2011 and is currently increasing their proportion of organic food by one new product every year.  Ludvika is a member of The National Association of Swedish Eco-municipalities and the town of Ludvika is also a Fairtrade city.
