This paper was part of the ongoing cooperation between the Swedish Civil Aviation Authority and the Department of Psychology at Lund University. The purpose of this study was to develop a self-report measure regarding human factors, for the air traffic controllers to fill out before they start their working shift. This in order to aid the team leaders in their judgment regarding the air traffic controller's ability to perform at the right safety level. The self-report measure would also serve as an aid for the air traffic controllers who have a responsibility regarding their own performance. If successful this self-report measure would make it easier for the air traffic controllers to be alert regarding certain factors that can have a large impact on their performance.

The aim of this essey was to find out what kind of help problem gamblers can get at social service offices in the region Västra Götaland in Sweden. We also examined the knowledge regarding gambling problems at social sevice offices and who the head of the social service offices regarded having the responsibility for the question of helping problem gamblers. As a last question we wanted to know if the size of the population in the community had an impact on these questions. Central questions in our essey asked are:How much help does the social service offices in the region Väsra Götaland offer problem gamblers? Who has the responsabilety to help problem gamblers according to social service offices?What knowledge does the social service offices have concerning problem gambling?Does the population of the community have an impact on theese questions?This is a quantitative study made as a webbservey to the head of the social service offices in the region Västra Götaland.

Länsförsäkringar in Värmland, Sweden, had during the year 2003 a total level of 6.1 percent of people on the sick-list, which was higher than average in the business (4,5%) and for salaried employees in the private sector (3,3%). The average age of those put on sick-list was 47 years, whish is four years higher than the average for the whole LF-group. The cost for the total amount of people being on sick-list at LF-company (6,1%) was estimated to 1 500 kkr, according to a calculation model coming from Försäkringskassan. For every percent the sick level could be reduced, the company would save 239 kkr. To map out the state of health of each and every collaborator in LF, the company offered all employees to make a health profile at the company's health service, Clarahälsan AB.

Abstract The amount of evil that we can see in our world might make the thought of a kind and caring God as its creator paradoxical. This is what is generally called the problem of evil and the topic of this study. This is a litterary study which is based on qualitative analysis and hermeneutics as our method. We have chosen to research this problem with the emphasis on two different theodices. One of these theodices is written by John Hick and the other by C.S Lewis.

Studien fokuserar kring ämnet implementering av en teknisk plattform inom en organisation. Syftet med uppsatsen är att beskriva och analysera vilka problem som kan uppstå vid införandet av en teknisk plattform inom en verksamhet samt varför dessa problem uppstår. För att besvara frågeställningen genomfördes en kvalitativ fallstudie av ett projekt inom Region Skåne där fokus låg på att implementera en teknisk plattform. Resultatet från studien påvisade tre centrala problem som projektet stötte på under implementeringen av den tekniska plattformen men även orsaken till dessa problem. De tre centrala problem som identifierades var samarbets- och tekniska problem men även svårigheter att följa tidsplanen.

SammanfattningSyftet med denna litteraturstudie var att göra en sammanställning och beskriva vad som fanns i vetenskaplig litteratur gällande sömnfrämjande interventioner för äldre personer med demenssjukdom.  Metoden var en deskriptiv litteraturstudie baserad på 14 vetenskapliga artiklar från sju länder, publicerade mellan år 2005- 2010.  Artikelsökning gjordes i databaserna Medline och Cinahl, även en manuell sökning ingick. Inkluderade artiklar i resultatet är granskade och kvalitetsbedömda.  Huvudresultatet visade att det fanns olika interventioner som ljusterapi, melatonin, akupressur, social aktivitet, utbildning och örtmedicin för att främja sömnstörningar för personer med demenssjukdom. De olika interventionerna uppvisade lite skiftande effekt för att främja sömnen, ingen av interventionerna ansågs övertygande däremot upptäcktes andra positiva effekter gällande agitation, dygnsrytmstörningar och vakenheten under dagen. Slutsatsen av denna litteraturstudie är att mer riktad forskning behövs om olika interventioner för att främja sömnstörningar hos äldre personer med demenssjukdomar. Förbättring av sömnkvalitet, livskvalitet och återhämtning är målsättningen med interventionerna.

  Befintliga studier har påvisat att genetiska algoritmer presterar bättre om de ges en bra startpopulation. I denna rapport presenteras en lokal sökalgoritm för att skapa en population med fokus på ?vehicle routing?-problem. Algoritmen använder sig av heuristik i en blandning av simulated annealing och tabu search för att skapa individerna till populationen. Utvärderingar av algoritmen på ett praktiskt problem visar att den ger en bra start jämfört med en slumpmässig startpopulation, vilket är vanligt att använda.

Detta är en uppsats som har fått sin utgångspunkt från rapporten ?Om sociala problem i nya bostadsområden? från Centralförbundet för socialt arbete. Rapporten från 1976 konstaterade att det i hög grad förekom sociala problem i de nya bostadsområden som byggts enligt Miljonprogramsmodellen. I Halmstad byggdes bostadsområdet Andersberg för att bota den bostadsbrist som under 1960-talet rådde i Halmstad. Då området byggdes enligt normer från just Miljonprogrammet, blev uppsatsens syfte att se hur väl detta bostadsområde stämde överrens med de definitioner av sociala problem som preciserades i rapporten, samt att ge en lokal och levande bild av det tidiga Anderberg.

Bakgrund: Patienter i behov av intensivvård är även i behov av en plats av lugn och ro för läkning. Intensivvården är en miljö som utsätter patienter för frekventa stimuli dygnet runt. För att få möjlighet till både fysisk och psykisk läkning krävs fullständig sömn. Intensivvårdspatienter har mer ytlig sömn på grund av att sömnrytmen ofta är störd. Genom att vila mitt på dagen i sammanhängande 90 minuter kan individen kompensera för en otillräcklig nattsömn.

The aim of this study is to describe and analyze how the European union relates to the different dimensions of abortion. What kind of problem is abortion and whose right is it? I have come to see that different representations of a problem changes the problem it self. This emphasis that a problem is a problem in one context, but not in an other.Depending on the work of, among others, Barbara Hobson and Ailbhe Smyth I have focused upon the European union as a economical project, leaving social issues to national competence. This makes the EU a patriarchal project that fails to guarantee women?s rights.

In our everyday life we are constantly affected by sound; at home, on our way to and from work, when taking a walk through the woods and when we sleep. In discussions about sound one often talk about noise and to what degree a certain noise disturbs us. The positive qualities of a sound and what sounds contribute to the experience of a good environment is rarely discussed. The question of sound and the quality of sound is given more attention through the expansion of Stockholm, the city is becoming both bigger and more crowded. This raises new questions concerning the planning of the city e.g. should the changes of the sound quality in a place be one of the aspects taken into consideration when planning new buildings, are there ways to improve the sound quality in new building projects? Can we even improve the quality of sound in existing places by simple means? I have chosen to study four different areas in Stockholm; Hötorget, Mariatorget, Berzeliipark and Norrmalmstorg.
