Introduktion: Ätstörningar som Anorexia Nervosa (AN) och Bulimia Nervosa (BN) innebär ett folkhälsoproblem och orsakar oral ohälsa. Vid ätstörningar har individen en störd kroppsupplevelse och försöker kontrollera sin vikt och kroppsform. Under de senaste decennierna har det skett en omfattande ökning i förekomsten av ätstörningar. Syfte: Att beskriva oral hälsa vid ätstörningar.   Frågeställningar: Hur påverkas den orala hälsan av sjukdomen AN? Hur påverkas den orala hälsan av sjukdomen BN? Metod: Designen är en litteraturstudie i området oral hälsa och ätstörningar.

Traditional retouching, where you make the body of a female model in a magazine thinner, has been common for a long time and is well known. Several studies indicates that showing ultra-thin images of female bodies in media can lower the body satisfaction of ?ordinary? women which in some cases can lead to dangerous eating disorders. But in 2010 Swedish female magazine VeckoRevyn introduced a new type of retouching: Making some catwalk models bodies bigger instead, which we decided to call opposite retouching. This kind of retouching is aiming to widen the ideal picture that is sent out of how the female body should look like, and therefore having the readers reach a higher body satisfaction and becoming more at peace with the own body.

Objective: From the patient?s perspective describe communication difficulties, which can arise, and how they are handled in their contact with public health care and illustrate their needs of communication.Method: A study of literature was carried out to receive a background and an insight in previous research concerning the subject area. Twelve women with hearing loss was asked to complete a questionnaire, with open questions, regarding communication difficulties in health care situations.Sample: For the literature review, scientific papers were selected via the database, PubMed using relevant keywords. Seven were selected for closer review. For the survey study twelve women were asked to participate which ten of those responded.Results: The study of literature shows that communication difficulties occur in public health care between patients with hearing loss and the nursing staff.

The study investigates the use of collection and treatment wagon for piglets in relation to castration. The importance of good and ergonomically designed tools in pig stables can probably reduce the risk of suffering from musculoskeletal disorders (MSD). During the last 20 years the number of pig farms has decreased and at the same time the herd sizes and the number of pig keepers have increased (Statistic Sweden (SCB) 2007). As a consequence, the pig keepers have more pigs to take care of, treat and neuter and spend more of their daily work in these large confinements. This also means that the repetitive work e.g.

Det är många gånger svårt att få patienten att inse allvaret i sjukdomen och ilska hos sjuksköterskan kan väckas när försök till hjälp avvisas. Syfte: Att belysa sjuksköterskans möjligheter, svårigheter och hinder för att stödja tillfrisknande hos ungdomar med ätstörningar. Metod: En litteraturstudie, som grundar sig i analys av 6 kvalitativa studier valda från databaser CINAHL och SCOPUS.

The Swedish Animal Welfare Act say that all milking cows must have access to pasture in summer time. That was a gift to Astrid Lindgren o her 80th birthday from the Swedish Government. Sweden is a predecessor in animal welfare, but how well do we live up to these big expectations? In this thesis I will examine how well the pasture for milking cows works. I have been interviewing farmers with milking cows and people in the business. I have also been searching information on Internet, and using the library of Alnarp. Cows that are kept on pasture are exposed to different kind of parasites, but on the other hand they run a smaller risk to getting acetonemi, pareses and udder infection. Veterinary Pierre Nordmark means that cows on pasture are more healthy then cows kept inside all summer.

Borderlands. A study of the aesthetic-practical environment, its pedagogical and therapeutical properties based on the outline of two practices/institutions: the workshops at Hagastiftelsen and the bookbindery at the Kristofferschool. The perspective on education, pedagogy and therapy taken is an existential one where the main aims of an educational-therapeutic intervention is to support biographical development and integrity. In the process action research in my own bookbinding workshop as well as hermeneutic research at the workshops at Hagastiftelsen where adults with autism and other neuropsychological disorders work have been the sources of primary empirical data. Secondary sources are patient-histories written by Oliver Sacks as well as autobiographical narratives of some adults with autism.

Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka hur användningen av bedömningsmetoden cervikal auskultation (CA) ser ut hos dysfagilogopeder i Sverige. Våra frågeställningar var: Hur utspridd är metoden inom logopedkåren? Hur utspridd är metoden i landet? Vilka åsikter finns kring metoden bland logopeder i Sverige? Vilka undersökningsmetoder vid dysfagi används mest bland logopeder i Sverige? Totalt deltog 82 personer i studien. Data samlades in genom en webbenkät. Frågorna i enkäten var blandat öppna och slutna.

Aim and scientific issuesThe aim was to identify potential health risks, for full-time working parents with small children, caused by time shortage. The intention was to better understand and help this particularly time-pressured group in society to achieve a healthier lifestyle. The identification was built upon their own opinions about possible health risks and upon an interpretation of the health risks from a health promoter?s perspective.How do full-time working parents with young children handle time-shortage in a health perspective, specified in the categories: sleep, recovery, nutrition, physical activity, social health and mental health?What consequences for health does time?shortage have for full-time working parents with young children?What do parents with young children think could help them to obtain a better health in everyday life? MethodThe study was based on a literature overview and semi-structured interviews with 6 people who were strategically selected: the interview objects were all full-time working or studying, had one child under 7 and lived together with a partner. All interviews were recorded using two dictaphones and were implemented, transcribed and analyzed by both writers of this essay to increase the reliability of the results.ResultsTime shortage is shown to be handled especially through priorities in the respondent?s lives.

   SammanfattningBakgrund: Stroke är ett samlingsnamn för olika kärlsjukdomar i hjärnan. Ätsvårigheter definieras som en eller flera svårigheter som inverkar negativt på förberedelse och intag av mat och/eller dryck. Ät- och sväljningsproblem efter stroke kan leda till malnutrition, uttorkning och viktnedgång. Syfte: Syftet är att beskriva patienters upplevelser av ätsvårigheter efter stroke. Metod: Metoden för detta arbete är en systematisk litteraturstudie.

Syftet med denna studie är att genom en litteraturöversikt beskriva arbetsterapeutens användande av grupp som intervention för individer med psykisk sjukdom. För att besvara syftet valde författarna att göra en litteraturstudie för att få en fördjupad kunskap samt beskriva befintlig kunskap inom det valda området. Datainsamlingen skedde genom att författarna noggrant valde ut tre lämpliga sökord; arbetsterapi, intervention och psykisk sjukdom. Utifrån sökorden skedde datainsamling via utvalda databaser, sökningen utmynnade i tio vetenskapliga artiklar. Författarna valde sedan att analysera de utvalda vetenskapliga artiklarna utifrån ett manifest kvalitativ innehållsanalys.

Chemicals are everywhere in todays society, in humans, animals as well as nature, and they are difficult to avoid. The chemical industry is regarded to be the fastest growing industrial sector, accounting for ten percent of the global economy. A large amount of chemicals are used to produce hygiene products and cosmetics, products that in Sweden only are consumed in quantities of 110 tons per day. Researchers find it increasingly difficult to determine which chemicals that are dangerous and which that are safe, and how they might affect us in the long run. Correlations have been found between chemicals, diseases and other health effects such as cancer, allergies, reproductive and endocrine disorders.

The aim of the project was to investigate if Swedish rodents, brown rat (Rattus norvegicus), house mouse (Mus musculus), wood mouse (Apodemus spp) and water vole (Arvicola terrestris) captured in pig herds and in urban areas, constitute a reservoir for pathogenic Leptospira spp. Under Swedish conditions leptospirosis gives rise to reproductive disorders in pigs and symptoms of flu in humans. It has long been established that rodents are chronic carriers of pathogenic leptospires in their kidneys, and can spread the bacteria with urine. The old nomenclature of serovoars is still in use, but a new system of genetic classification has developed and today the genus Leptospira contains 17 species. There are several diagnostic test developed for leptospirosis.

Bakgrund: Sömnen är en viktig del av en människas liv, man sover bort ca en tredjedel av sin livstid. Med det naturliga åldrandet förändras sömnen och man blir mer känslig för omkringliggande stimuli och vaknar då lättare på natten samt sover färre timmar. På en vårdavdelning finns det mycket som kan påverka sömnen, speciellt hos äldre människor. Ljud som man inte känner igen, en okänd säng att sova i samt andra människor i samma rum. Alla dessa faktorer kan ge uppkomst till sömnrubbningar under en vistelse på en vårdavdelning.Syfte: Syftet med denna litteraturöversikt var att beskriva faktorer som påverkar äldre vuxnas och äldres sömn på en vårdavdelning.Metod: I denna litteraturöversikt har databaserna CINAHL with full text och Medline använts.

Weaning is a standard procedure at most studs, and the methods of weaning varies greatly. The method used at the stud in this particular study is supposed to decrease stress. The purpose of the study was to compare the behaviour of foals in group before and after stepwise removal of their mares. Standardbred foals with their mothers were kept in three different groups at pasture (12, 11 and 11 foals, respectively, mixed sexes). They had free access to silage and the foals were fed concentrate in a creep-feeding area. By the time the foals were 5 months old, the mares were stepwise removed from the pasture.
