Furthermore has the European Union lead to that this type of companies has to seek growth on foreign markets with great socio cultural distance from the home country, Sweden. The problem of separating a non-rectangular foreground image from a background image is a classical problem in image processing and analysis, known as matting or keying. A common example is a film frame where an actor is extracted from the background to later be placed on a different background. Compositing of these objects against a new background is one of the most common operations in the creation of visual effects. When the original background is of non-constant color the matting becomes an under determined problem, for which a unique solution cannot be found. This thesis describes a framework for computing mattes from images with backgrounds of non-constant color, using Bayesian statistics.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate possible links between short selling and the stock market movements using econometric test models. Methodology: A quantitative study carried out on the time series stock lending and OMX Stockholm 30 index. Information is gathered through qualitative interviews with specialists in the field of stock lending, and studies of relevant newspaper articles and reports. Theoretical approach: The theoretical frame of reference is a further consideration of supply and demand theory. The empirical study is implemented by the simple linear regression model and a vector autoregressive model (VAR).

Att välja en stomme av trä till ett flerbostadshus verkar också ha fördelar i de icke avhandlade aspekterna, t.ex. miljö och arbetsmiljö.För att uppfylla ljud-, brand- och fuktkrav i ett trähus krävs det avancerade byggsystem som innebär stor komplexitet i projekteringen vilket kräver ett nära samarbete mellan träprojektör och fabrikör. .

The aim of this study is to describe, from a didactic point of view, wether gender norms are challenged and sex equality is maintained when two teachers in grade one communicate with their pupils. This is based on the existing norms in our society which generates into certain expectations of how one should act depending on wether you are a girl or a boy. In addition to this, the lack of equality between women and men is a global question. The norms and conditions in society are reproduced, but can also be deconstructed in school (Martinsson and Reimers 2008, p. 8).

The Sitting while waiting for sustainability project goal was to make a functional model for a resting chair and to make it by using furniture and artefacts as material. From a development psychology point of view, questions relating to childhood ang growth are some of the important subjects we choose to discuss. Our purpose is also to reveal the linkage between criminal behavior and different theories of the above mentioned perspective. To bridge the gap between the general and the individual, our survey was based on profound interviews with four inmates in prison. This offer an opportunity to capture the individual´s inner thoughts, feelings and experience about the criminal action.

Guazuigua is a small village in Bolivia, which has had too small water resources, especially for irrigation. A project started after some studies were made, to create a canal to provide the village with water from a nearby town. To make the canal work it had to cross a dried out river. There have been several attempts to cross these dried out rivers, but with poor results. The purpose of the report is to provide a solution for this problem.

Denna studie har till syfte att undersöka hur lastfördelningen och följaktligen dimen­sionerande tvärkrafter och moment i brobaneplattor av betong skiljer sig åt beroende på val av beräkningsmetod. Jämförelsen sker primärt för tre utvalda hand­beräknings­metoder som jämförts med beräkningar gjorda i ett beräknings­program baserat på finita element­metoder (FEM). I jämförelsen undersöks hur laster sprids i brobaneplattan enligt de olika beräknings­metoderna och vilka resulterande maximala snittkrafter som erhålls. Hur lastfördelningen sker är en komplex fråga och det är därför intressant att se vilka skillnader det blir i resultat utifrån olika beräknings­metoder.Studien skedde på ett utvalt studieobjekt, en åtta meter bred samverkansbro i Njurunda strax söder om Sundsvall. De trafiklaster som beaktats är lastmodell 1 och lastmodell 2 enligt Eurokod (CEN, 2003).De beräknings­metoder som jämförts i den här studien är dels en metod för beräkning av tvärgående konsol­moment där kantbalken bidrar mycket till den lastspridande effekten.

Dessa är: platta på mark, krypgrund ochplintgrund.Syftet med arbetet är att undersöka konstruktion och funktion för de tre grundkonstruktionerna.Arbetet redovisar också vilka grunder som är förekommande vid nybyggnation av småhus i Örebrolän, samt hur olika aktörer inom byggbranschen motiverar sina val med avseende på risken förfuktrelaterade problem.Inom detta examensarbete redovisas resultat från intervjuer med ett antal olika byggnadsaktörersom bygger med olika typer av grundkonstruktioner. Information har samlats in genom intervjuermed sakkunniga samt egen teorifördjupning i litteratur för grundkonstruktioner. Utifrån syftet medarbetet har teorin och resultaten från intervjuerna sammanställts.Platta på mark med underliggande isolering är den grundkonstruktion som framförallt väljs vid valav grundkonstruktion för nybyggnationer av småhus i Örebro län.
