Kandidatarbetets huvudsakliga mål är att producera en bilderbok för alla åldrar, Skumma Typer & Trevliga Personer. En bilderbok är interaktiv till sin karaktär och den här boken har också ett tilltal på flera nivåer. Bokens bilder innehåller tydliga allusioner, främst riktade till den vuxne läsaren. Medieteknik är, i det här sammanhanget, att först skissa analogt, föra över skisserna digitalt, bearbeta i datorn och därefter skriva ut bilderna. Via ljusbord har bilderna sedan tecknats igen på akvarellpapper och sedan målats med akvarellfärg för att uppnå nyanser som kan vara svåra att nå digitalt.

De senaste åren har drivkraften för forskning inom trådlösa sensornätverk ökat markant. Detta är framförallt på grund av de potentiella fördelar som den nya tekniken tillhandahåller. Vi har efter förfrågan av Ivan Kruzela tagit på oss uppgiften att skapa en laboration som är tänkt att ingå i den andra årskursen för högskoleingenjörerna i Data- och Telekommunikation på Centrum för Teknikstudier (CTS), Malmö Högskola. Laborationen handlar om routing och är den tredje i raden av laborationer med trådlösa sensorer. Protokollet som används heter XMesh och är tillverkat av Crossbow Technology. Ambitionen är att laborationen ska leda till förståelse för hur routing uppstår i trådlösa sensornätverk, med avseende på parametrar och andra faktorer som påverkar nodernas val av rutt. Examensarbetet resulterade i en laborationshandledning med tre tillhörande bilagor..

High-precision cutting in metal is very complicated, a lot of parameters affect the result: what geometries to be manufactured, surface roughness and tolerances to be achieved, batch size etcetera. When pull-broaching internal parts this might be even more important, than in any other cutting operation. Everything is machined in one single stroke and the general technology is built in to the tool, therefore big investments must be made to change the process. Milling for an example: one piece at a time is machined away, and a lot of parameters can be changed easily.It is very high pressure on the cutting-edge when the broach is cutting. To achieve the specified product and to avoid unnecessary toolwear it is essential to use the right cuttingfluid and the right cuttingspeed for an example.

The purpose of the study is to examine how the teachers in second grade use SMART Board and compare two schools.The process I used was qualitative interviews and classrooms observations. Previous studies shows how widely SMART Board is used in classrooms, and this has also been shown in my study. The study shows how differently SMART Board is used in the classrooms, and how important education in the technology of SMART Board is to achieve in the classroom. The final discussion clearly shows similarities and differences in the use of SMART Board in different classrooms and also the teachers? thoughts about SMART Board as a tool.A central aspect in the use of SMART Board shows how important the basic education in SMART Board is.

Optimizing energy systems is, in Sweden, as in many other countries, of growing interest. District heating systems are no exception. In 2012, 285 out of 290 municipals in Sweden had district heating in use and the majority of these systems have a higher return temperature than that which is possible with an error-free substation of day current technology. To, when possible, lower the return temperature is a way of increasing the effectiveness of the district heating system.This study means to investigate, through simulations and calculations, how big of a reduction in production cost a lower temperature in the city of Ystad?s district heating system would correspond to.

Syftet med vår undersökning är att övergripande synliggöra den dominanta roll ett barn kan ha eller få i en grupp. Vi valde att observera i två olika klasser i de lägre åldrarna på en F-6 skola. För att få syn på den dominanta rollens egenskaper så använde vi oss av bland annat videoinspelning. Videoinspelningen gav oss material som kom så nära den naturliga miljön i gruppen som möjligt. Först när vi började observera såg vi inte några av de egenskaper som vi trodde karaktäriserade den dominanta rollen.

Sweden is one of five nations in the world manufacturing fighter aircrafts. Highly advanced technology is needed in order to develop a fighter aircraft. When developing advanced technology, new applications, other than those initially intended occur, spin-off. Some of Sweden?s largest companies are spin-offs from the fighter aircraft industry.

The project was based on a request to improve an already existing program and hardware at the electrical engineering department at the royal institute of technology. For maximum ease of use, tests have been done on students to properly design the program for what it is meant to be used for. These tests have been transcribed and analysed, then brought back to the group in a discussion and then transcribed and analysed again, I call this process the ?four step process? (this process is presented and explained in chapter 6.4.). A part of this master thesis was also to analyse the four step process to enhance validity of this research.The project resulted in a new program with a new graphical view and features to help students and researchers to work with the technical tool for electromagnetic readings of planar objects.

Matematiska kunskaper är en central del inom digital spelutveckling. Metoderna hur man lär ut matematik och dess innehåll har dock inte utvecklats i samma takt som hur lär ut hur man utvecklar spel. Jag vill med den här uppsatsen och mitt kandidatarbete utveckla ett unikt kursupplägg av tillämpad matematik for spelutveckling i 2-D. Detta upplägg baseras på analys av tidigare erfarenheter av matematikstudier och samtal med övriga kursansvariga. Den be?ntliga kurslitteraturen som används på tekniska högskolor är väldigt avancerad i sin forklaring av teori.

This study has the purpose of looking at the current and future position of record labels from a context involving the technological developments, while the opportunities for the artists are changing. As the actors inside them music industry find themselves in an ever changing climate where traditional supply chains are threatened by new technology, the record labels need to change the way they work in order to maintain their existence in the music industry. The study has been conducted by interviewing a number of people involved in the music industry, by using a qualitative method approach. The conclusion of the study shows that the traditional way of doing business by treating music as a product that makes revenue is gone. Instead the labels have to take on new roles formerly run by third parties in order to survive and be profitable, especially since artists can now in control of activities that used to be controlled by the record label..

På Skånemejeriers ysteri i Kristianstad har en energiinventering utförts. Detta för att lokalisera de komponenter på mejeriet som är energianvändare och få en bättre insyn i energianvändningen på mejeriet. Föreliggande inventering har sedan använts för att analysera energianvändningen och föreslå energieffektiviseringsåtgärder. Hydroware Elevation Technology AB är ett företag som utvecklar styrsystem till hydrauliska hissar. Hårdvaran i detta system börjar bli gammal och går troligen ur produktion inom en snar framtid. EU har dessutom upprättat nya säkerhetsföreskrifter för installation av hissar där styrsystemet omnämns. I en grupp av hissar skall hisskorgarna isoleras från eventuella fel i övriga hissar. Med detta i åtanke har man inlett en förstudie där man tittar på ny hårdvara.

This paper explores the field of virtual reality and how immersion and presences can be increased when it comes to navigation and interaction with Virtual Environments. The availability of VR technology has sparked a trend, especially in game development. Old ways of designing for interactive environments have to be revised. This is done by exploring the massive body of work done on VR, exploring its underlying concepts, using tested design techniques and ways of evaluating interaction for VR. A design suggestion in the form of utilizing a tablet device as the main input device is derived.

This bachelor thesis examines and discusses the question: "How can graphics for newscasts be adapted to follow technological developments in various media and increase its informative quality?" The work was performed on Swedish Television's own graphic department, SVT design in order to examine how news graphics need to be developed to follow the technological changes in media. The production resulted in a news graphics concept divided into three parts. Two of the sections show examples of how graphics can be adapted according to platform and the third section shows examples of news graphics that are produced at SVT Design by me. This bachelor thesis portray a project where the main task were to develop a computer based system prototype for handling of absence report at the upper secondary school af Chapman in Karlskrona. The project has been conducted in cooperation with students from the university programs software engineering and information economy at Blekinge Institute of Technology. Our task as MDA-students have been to survey the process of absence report of today through field studies and give a proposal of a graphical user interface which later were developed by the software engineers.
