Den här undersökningen fokuserar på kommuners etablering som varumärken. Man kan beskriva det som en kommersialisering hos kommunerna där de säljer sitt varumärke i princip på samma sätt som ett företag gör, vilket gör det problematiskt att vara opartisk, neutral och framför allt en demokratisk institution som verkar för det allmännas bästa i alla lägen. Här har gjorts en fallstudie av Kalmar kommun som uttalat arbetar för att vara ett varumärke. En av kommunens senare informationssatsningar består även av magasinet Jenny, som tagits fram för att lyfta och kommunicera Kalmars varumärke.Problemställningen består av tre huvudområden. Dessa berör innehållet i varumärket Kalmar kommun, huvudsakliga motiv för att etablera sin kommun som ett varumärke samt i ett tredje perspektiv skönja dess demokratiska påverkan.

Uppsatsen syftar till att undersöka hur informationsskyltar bidrar till större förståelse av kulturarv genom att undersöka kontexten samt informationen som ges på skyltarna och hur det genom dessa aspekter skapar perspektiv på platsen. De kulturarv som analyseras är Eketorps fornborg, Kalmar Slott och Södra Ölands odlingslandskap.  Källmaterialet består av kulturarven, deras informationsskyltar och den kontext de verkar i samt hur de samverkar. Här tolkas både den text och de bilder som finns på skyltarna.  Skyltarna finns uppsatta vid kulturarven och verkar i dess kontext. Det är möjligt att tala om att kulturarvet behöver skyltarna, dels för att platsen ska förstås dels för den effekt en skylt åstadkommer. Vidare används skyltarna för att belysa det som är unikt för den specifika platsen, informationen som finns påvisar vad som är viktigt för besökaren att se.

SAMMANFATTNING: Blivande föräldrar står inför stora utmaningar. Föräldragrupperna utformas på mödrahälsovårdsmottagningarna så att föräldrarna får stöd i föräldraskapet och skapar ett nätverk som kan främja en positiv utveckling. Norra Kalmar län vill utveckla sitt arbetssätt i syfte att säkerställa kvalitet inom föräldrastödet för att svara mot föräldrars behov. Syfte: Utvärdering av föräldragrupperna bland förstagångsföräldrar. Metod: Retrospektiv tvärsnittstudie med kvantitativt ansats.

The aim of this Master?s thesis is to examine the environmental scanning by the employees and politicians at the central administration at the County Council of Kalmar län. The background of the study is the closing of the administration library in January 2003, which gave more tasks to the hospital libraries of the County Council.The main questions of this study concerns the information needs of the employees and politicians, what electronic sources they prefer to use to satisfy those needs and if they are experiencing a need for more support and help, from a librarian or by the development of a common catalogue of hyperlinks. All 104 persons in the population were asked to answer a questionnaire on the Intranet. The task was performed by 60 persons.

The study examines the massacre of the garrison of the castle of Kalmar in 1525 and its causes. The goal of the investigation has been on the one hand to elucidate the most probable sequence of events, and on the other to identify as many different plausible explanations to the massacre as possible. For this end, four contemporary sources have been examined and compared in their details. To enable a broad basis for interpretation, the author has consulted various works on the themes of warfare, soldiers and violence in the late middle ages and the sixteenth century. Apart from political aspects, the study highlights social and cultural conditions as important factors in explaining how the massacre could be carried out without provoking any single part of society.

Det finns uppgifter om att den manuella kontanthanteringen har avvecklats på cirka 500 bankkontor mellan åren 2010 och 2012 och denna siffra ökar ständigt. Detta kan ses som en stor förändring som påverkar hela samhället vilket bankerna och deras kunder reagerar olika på. Syfte: Att undersöka varför fler och fler banker i Kalmar tar bort hanteringen av kontanter på sina kontor, vad som är positivt respektive negativt med detta för bankerna och hur det påverkar bankernas kunder. Metod: Vi har i denna uppsats använt oss av en abduktiv ansats med en kvalitativ undersökningsmetod. Empirin har samlats in genom fyra semi-strukturerade intervjuer med banker i Kalmar samt en enkätundersökning med privatpersoner i olika åldrar för att få båda parters perspektiv på förändringen i samhället. Resultat och slutsatser: Vår slutsats är att bankerna främst har beslutat att minska eller ta bort den manuella kontanthanteringen med orsak av att efterfrågan på kontanterna har minskat, de vill ha ökad säkerhet och minska den svarta sektorn. Kunder kan nu få mer hjälp med mer komplexa frågor, dock har förändringen medfört att ett fåtal kunder har fått minskat förtroende för sin bank och därför beslutat att byta.

Denna studie har utvärderat effekten hos tre fosforfällor med kalkstenskross med avseende på reduktion av totalfosfor och fosfat samt påverkan på vattnets pH. En kostnadsanalys utfördes för att beräkna effektiviteten uttryckt i kostnad per kg infångad fosfor. Fosforfällorna består av en 80-180 meter lång dikessektion i vilken en 0,5-1 meter djup bädd av krossad kalksten har placerats. Kalkens primära funktion är att binda till sig en del av det fosfat som finns löst i det genomflödande vattnet. En av fosforfällorna ligger i Hagbygärdedämmet i utkanten av Kalmar.

Futurum.kom is a collaborative marketing project with the aim of strengthening the internal organization of Länsbibliotek Sydost, Regionbibliotek Kalmar and the 25 public libraries within the southeast region. The project intends to externally build the brands of the public libraries in Blekinge, Kalmar and Kronobergs län. This thesis is a study and evaluation of the implementation and results of Futurum.kom?s first campaign "Låna dig rik" at a public library. The analysis is based on the following issues:? What goals does the library have with the "Låna dig rik"-campaign.? What is the feedback from the staff's experience of the users in terms of needs and demands?? In which way does the library choose to implement the marketing campaign and what role do the users have in this process?? What is the internal performance of the library's marketing campaign, what was the experience of the staff of the campaign?? What is the external result of the library's marketing campaign?The method is based on a case study of a single library, with a series of interviews and document analysis of written and electronic documents.

The aim has been to make contact with universities in Sweden to see if they have elements of social work education that lectures a social work online.The study is based on semi-structured interviews with school counselors in Kalmar County. The majority of the interviewed school counselors lacked the knowledge and experience of a student curative work online but some had discussed this phenomenon at work. One counselor worked daily with a pupil curative work online. The intention of interviewing universities to investigate whether there are elements of social work education that addresses a social work online defaulted unfortunately because they choose not to participate in the study.The main conclusion of our study is that school counselors consider themselves lacking sufficient knowledge to conduct pupil curative conversations online.
