The media industry in general and the newspaper in particular is going through major changes ? technological, logistical, economical ? due to the dropping sales and width of the printed daily newspaper. Few organisations have been spared the necessary rationalizations and cut-downs in staff. All of them are expected to produce more and better content, in more and new channels and platforms, with less resources. Some have been preparing for this a long time, others have never entered the digital world of news.

Syftet med vår studie var att få en inblick i socialsekreterare på socialjourens(joursekreterare) arbete gällande barn som far illa och hur de resonerar ibeslutsprocessen om eventuell placering utanför hemmet enligt SoL 4 kap. 1 §eller 6 § LVU samt vilka svårigheter som kan uppstå i den akuta handläggningenav barn och unga. Vi ville även undersöka vilket stöd joursekreterarna uppleveratt de har i beslutsprocessen. För att uppnå vårt syfte har vi utgått frånfrågeställningarna: Vilka faktorer beskriver joursekreterare är avgörande för enplacering enligt SoL 4 kap. 1 § eller 6§ LVU i förhållande till barnets/den ungesliv? Vilka svårigheter beskriver joursekreterarna, kan uppstå i beslutsprocessenvid avgörande om omedelbar placering av barn och unga? Vilket stöd ibeslutsprocessen upplever joursekreterarna att de har? Vi har baserat studien på enkvalitativ metod och har intervjuat åtta joursekreterare från två olika socialjourer.Den insamlade empirin har analyserats utifrån de teoretiska utgångspunkternabarnperspektiv och barns bästa, tyst kunskap och handlingsutrymme samt tidigareforskning.

Bakgrund: Idrottsrelaterad hjärnskakning (commotio cerebri) är vanligt inom fotboll, handboll och ishockey. Forskning visar att ett mindre trauma mot huvudet kan vara tillräckligt för att klassificeras som hjärnskakning. Svenska riktlinjer har utformats för handläggning av hjärnskakning, däri ingår en rehabiliteringsmodell som kallas ?hjärntrappan?. Det är viktigt att en hjärnskakning uppmärksammas tidigt för att minska risken att ådra sig ytterligare en hjärnskakning eller annan extremitetsskada.

The calcium homeostasis in the body is normally strict regulated to be kept within very narrow limits. This regulation is due to the action of parathyroid hormone (PTH) which is synthesized in the chief cells of the parathyroid glands. In different diseases, the calcium homeostasis is disturbed and this could either be due to a dysfunction of the parathyroid gland itself, or it could have a completely different explanation. To investigate disturbed calciumhomeostasis, ionized calcium and PTH can be analyzed from a blood sample. There are a lot of different assays to measure PTH in humans.

This final thesis was performed at Ericsson in Gävle between April and June of 2008. Ericsson is a world leading manufacturer of radio base stations (RBS), which handles mobile phone traffic with 2G and 3G technology. The main purpose of this study is to examine if two different types of products (RBS and site material) should have different terms and conditions, today the terms and conditions are the same for both types. During the course of our study we have tried to think of the terms reliability, validity and generalization. The intention in doing that was to keep the thesis at a high academic level. To name an example of this we have tried to keep our minds at an objective level during the interviews and informal conversations.

Bakgrund: Varje år får närmare 8000 kvinnor i Sverige diagnosen bröstcancer. Den vanligaste behandlingsmetoden är det kirurgiska ingreppet mastektomi som innebär antingen avlägsnande av hela bröstet eller att endast en del av körtelvävnaden tas bort. Bröst har sedan urminnes tider förknippats med kvinnlighet och att genomgå en mastektomi upplevs ofta av kvinnor som ett trauma. Mastektomi är inte bara ett enkelt ingrepp utan det medför fysiska och psykiska konsekvenser som påverkar kvinnors vardagsliv. Syfte: Att beskriva kvinnors upplevelse av att förlora ett bröst efter mastektomi.

This paper is based on a quantitative survey. The study aims to answer the questionwhich media young people rather use to take part of the news. The results showthat young people today in Kalmar preferably and often read newspapers on theInternet and mobile phone.The questions asked was about which media they usually use, the level ofconfidence they had in various media, how interest was in different newscategories, willingness to pay for online news and background issues relatedsubjects. The survey was aimed at high school students in Kalmar and weredistributed and collected on-site at the schools. What was remarkable among theresponses was that young people largely had access to a morning newspaper athome and said that they would consider subscribing to one in the future.

AbstractThe purpose for this essay has been to illuminate some teachers opinions of integration of students with Aspergers syndrom in the compulsory school, then compare it with the statue documents and see similarities and differences.The studie has been of a quality character, based on quality intervjues to get the teachers understanding at a deeper level. The questions in the intervju are based on open questions with purpose not to control the person during the intervju.The most obvious result which was that it appered two perspective of integration of students with Aspergers syndrom. One in the short run and one in the long run.In the long run it was the integration of the individual into the society and in the short run integration in school.For the perspective in the long run, the opinions from the teachers in compulsory school is good corresponding to the statue documents, that the integration is necessary for our democratic and human values that our sociaty are based on.In the short run, during the years when the students are in school, it came out great difficulties to integrate children with Aspergers syndrom. To proceed an integration that works out for the students, the teachers took site from the individual and not from the society. Att människor idag avstår från att delta i sociala aktiviteter i samhället på grund av att de känner sig otrygga i kollektivtrafiken, och då särskilt på hållplatser och vägarna till och från, går inte ihop med Göteborgsregionens mål om en ökad användning av kollektivtrafiken. För att få fler att välja kollektivtrafiken som färdmedel måste tryggheten kring hållplatserna öka, vilket skulle innebära fördelar för både hälsa, miljö och välfärd. Det är speciellt kvinnor som anger att de, särskilt kvällstid, avstår från vissa aktiviteter för att de inte känner sig trygga på hållplatsen eller väljer att gå långa omvägar hem för att de känner sig otrygga. Olika fysiska åtgärder, i det offentliga rummet, påverkar den upplevda tryggheten hos människor och med enkla medel tryggheten öka avsevärt på en plats.Syftet med detta arbete är att belysa trygghetsfrågor i samband med hållplatser i Göteborg för att bidra till den debatt som finns angående trygghet i kollektivtrafiken.För att göra detta har en analysmetod tagits fram och ett verktyg har utformats för att undersöka tryggheten på en hållplats och dess närmaste omgivning. Detta kommer att underlätta prioriteringar och utveckling av platsen ur en trygghetssynpunkt.En omfattande litteraturstudie har genomförts för att få en uppfattning av begreppet trygghet och vad det innebär.

Webexhibits is a growing but unexplored, cultural phenomenon that indicates a new use of the Internet for cultural communication. In the essay two quantitative methods, logganalysis and websurveys, have been used to study the visitors in 5hus.nu. The purpose is to generate knowledge about webexhibits as a cultural manifestation and medium by studying the experience and actions of its visitors. To achieve the aim the paper explores the methodological questions of how to study webusers. Theories about the exhibition as a medium and the web as a virtual area of exhibits have been used to understand and interpret the results.

Bakgrund Inom vårdtraditionen finns en viss okunskap om hur patienter upplever och hanterar den stress som allvarlig sjukdom/skada eller hot om sådan ofta innebär. Syfte Syftet med denna uppsats är att studera hur vuxna människor upplever och hanterar sin situation vid allvarlig sjukdom/skada eller hot om sådan. Metod Denna uppsats är en litteraturstudie som har baserats på tio vetenskapliga artiklar, där åtta stycken sökts fram i databasen PubMed. Sökorden nursing, coping, coping strategies, trauma, catastrophic, stress och critical illness har använts. De andra två artiklarna identifierades genom manuell sökning.

The construction process which is used today while constructing residential buildings has for along time remained unchanged. Unfortunately the development process has gone away frombecoming industrialized and instead most of the work is done at the construction site. Syfte: Syftet med litteraturstudien var att beskriva brännskadade personers upplevelser av livet efter en brännskada. Bakgrund: En brännskada är ett trauma för både kropp och själ och ett stort lidande för den drabbade. Fysiska förändringar och psykologisk kris gör vägen tillbaka svår. Genom medicinskt kunnande och genom att vara ett medmänskligt stöd har sjuksköterskan en viktig roll under både den fysiska och psykiska läkningsprocessen. Metod: Studien är en allmän litteraturstudie baserad på fem kvalitativa vetenskapliga artiklar samt en självbiografi, publicerade mellan år 2003-2008.
