Posttraumatiskt Stressyndrom (PTSD) är en erkänd diagnos som listades i DSM-III år 1980. Något som inte har uppmärksammats på samma sätt är de symptom som upplevs av individer som i andra hand exponeras för trauma. Exempelvis de som tar emot en primärdrabbads berättelse. För att beskriva påverkan av att ta emot en primärdrabbads berättelse har termen yrkesrelaterad livskvalitet (Professional quality of life) använts. Forskning med fokus på yrkesrelaterad livskvalitet har bedrivits inom många olika yrken.

Bakgrund: Barn som upplevt flykt m?ter komplexa psykologiska, fysiska och sociala utmaningar. Flyktingbarn utg?r en s?rskilt s?rbar grupp, d?r sjuksk?terskan har en avg?rande roll i att ge v?rd som fr?mjar trygghet, tillit och v?lbefinnande. Sjuksk?terskan har ett ansvar att bedriva personcentrerad v?rd.

Implantatförankrad protetik har blivit ett vanligt behandlingsalternativ vid tandförlust.Tänder som förlorats på grund av karies, aplasi, trauma (olycksfall) eller parodontit (tandlossning) kan idag på många patienter ersättas med hjälp av implantat det vill säga en konstgjord tandrot av titan. Ett eller flera implantat opereras/installeras in i käkbenet och förses därefter med en krona, en bro eller en protes.Vävnaden runt implantatet kan drabbas av infektion på liknande sätt som vävnaden runt naturliga tänder och kallas då periimplantit. Detta är en reversibel inflammatorisk process i mjukvävnaden runt ett implantat med förlust av benvävnad.Syftet med studien var att beskriva förekomst av periimplantit hos patienter som erhållit implantat åren 2000-2001 vid Centrum Oral Rehabilitering, Parodontologi, samt förekomst av eventuella skillnader i periimplantit med avseende på rökvanor, kön och tidigare parodontal diagnos.Studien var en retrospektiv, beskrivande jämförande journalstudie.Totalt granskades 100 journaler, 80 journaler exkluderades då inte röntgenbilder togs tre år efter fixtur/implantat installation. Resultatet visade att 13 var kvinnor (65 %), 8 rökare (40 %) och 11 (55 %) personer hade remitterats för tidigare förekomst av parodontit.63 implantat installerades på 20 patienter. Periimplantit uppstod vid 8 implantat (13 %).

I och med det enorma användningsområdet av datorsystem i dagens samhälle finns många typer av användare och uppgifter att designa för. Genom designriktlinjer kan utvecklare få referenser och guidning för att skapa användbara applikationer från början. På så vis kan tid sparas i utvecklingsprocessen. Från och med puberteten då människan kan anses vara vuxen ändras förmåga till andraspråksinlärning, trots detta finns det människor som lär sig andraspråk i vuxen ålder. Kunskap kring vad dessa skillnader beror på måste användas i designen av en andraspråksinlärningsapplikation för att tillgodose människans kognitiva förmågor.

Att vara med om en amputation innebär ett stort trauma för den enskilde. För att som sjuksköterska kunna ha ett professionellt förhållningssätt gentemot patienten krävs det god självkännedom, empati och kunskap inom området. Syftet med litteraturstudien var att söka kunskap om hur sjuksköterskan på bästa sätt kan stödja, förhålla sig och vårda traumatiskt amputerade patienter. Hur vi som sjuksköterskor på bästa sätt kan lindra lidandet för den drabbade och dennes närstående. De vetenskapliga artiklarna som ingick i studien söktes genom databaserna CINAHL, PubMed och PsycINFO samt framtogs genom personlig kommunikation med docent Hans Granhed, ortopedkliniken SU/ Mölndal.

Stockholm has a pronounced good position in the international meeting market and this essay will examine what it takes to be a successful meeting destination for international congresses.Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to examine the fundamental factors that must be met for a meeting destination to be successful in the international market for conventions.Question at issue: How can a city develop into a more attractive meeting destination for international congresses?Method: Persons with key positions in the Stockholm meeting industry have been approached by qualitative interviews by the authors.Theory: As a theoretical framework the authors used the value of the physical meeting, generally on the congresses, the planning process for site selection for the meeting, the meeting platform and image.Conclusion: The authors' findings are based on the empirical material gathered during the study interviews. Ear piercing performed in hairdressing salons and jewellery shops using a piercing gun has been set aside from the obligation to notify the local environmental and public health authorities, due to the use of disposable cassette with the piercing gun. According to the Swedish environmental code each practitioner are required to prevent any health hazards arisen from the operation. Local bacterial infection is the most frequent complication associated with the ear piercing procedure and to prevent the potential risk of such an event, hygiene conditions in both the premises and in procedures are essential. The purpose of the report was to examine the presence of ear piercing practitioners in Umeå and their current hygiene conditions. The study consisted of interviews with employees and managers on site whose answers was evaluated and compared to the general recommendations of The National Board of Health and Welfare.

Sycamore maple (Acer pseudoplatanus L.) is a common broadleaved species throughout Europe, however often of minor interest to the forest sector. There is currently a lack of research on sycamore maple, and some of its characteristics have throughout history contributed to a negative reputation in both literature and the forest society. Since broadleaved species in general are of great importance to the forest sector in Europe and presumably of enhanced significance in the future, deepened research is needed and particularly Swedish. With a desire to hopefully increase the interest for sycamore maple, was the objective of the study to examine the current status of the sycamore stands in southern Sweden. The study was carried out both as a survey with inventory field work and as a literature study. Parts of the latter mentioned is also presented in the introduction. The study shows that the majority of the sycamore stands in Sweden are growing well, producing fairly high qualities and volumes.

Det finns ett flertal tidigare studier som visar att det finns olika behandlingsalternativ som kan fungera vid akuta bullerexponeringar. Vi har i denna studie undersökt om bullervila i hemmet i en vecka kan vara en fungerande behandlingsmetod mot akustiskt trauma i form av impulsbuller från vapen och explosioner från ex dynamit och larmminor. Studien lades upp som en fallstudie och studiepopulationen utgjordes av värn pliktiga vid I19 i Boden.Studien varade under det att de värnpliktiga gjorde sin värnplikt åren 2003-04. Totalt 18 värnpliktiga ingick i studien. Vid osäkra resultat och där det behövdes utvidgad audiologisk utredning så fick jag god hjälp av Hörcentralen i Sunderby sjukhus, Luleå.ResultatTotalt 18 personer sökte för akut bullerskada.

Voltage sag indices are a way of quantifying the performance of the power supply, as far as voltage sags are concerned. Indices can be defined for individual events, for individual sites, and for a whole system. A standard method for single-event methods is part of IEC standard 61000-4-30.This thesis emphasizes the importance of voltage sag indices and different methods for calculating three-phase voltage sag characteristics. Three-phase events measured in a medium network voltage over period of one month were analyzed, results examined and statistically evaluated. An algorithm for calculating voltage sag characteristics and indices was created in Matlab.

About a quarter of the Swedish land area is covered with shallow or thick peat. There is a potential to increase forest production in Sweden with almost 2 million m3/year in selected peatlands with low conservation values. This increase can be accomplished by drainage, complementary drainage, ditch maintenance operations and fertilization. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of knowledge regarding the management of forests on peatlands and was restricted to selected forest companies in Västerbotten County, with offices in Umeå. Three companies were chosen, SCA, Holmen and Norra Skogsägarna.
