Customer service has traditionally consisted of telephone, mail, and later on chat.But the entry of social media has changed the way companies exercise customerservice. Companies should ask themselves whether the same type of traditionalcommunication may or may not function in a new channel and thus whether itcan be applied to social media.The purpose of this study is to describe the companies? use of customer servicein social media and how the communication differentiates from thecommunication in traditional customer service, and also to define the effect onthe customers? relationship to the company. To reach our conclusions we havecombined theoretical references with qualitative interviews.By our analysis, we found that the communication in social media expandsthe possibilities. By entering an unfamiliar channel, customer service has hadto adapt themselves and their language.
Standardisering kontra flexibilitet : En fallstudie av utvecklingsprocesser
Process standardization is a topic that has generated a lot of research and literature. At first, the focus was on production; today processes are used in all different kind of business areas.The aim of this study has been to analyze how processes can be applied on development businesses and how IT systems affect the result of the process. To accomplish this, we have asked questions such as what standardization is in a development process? Why are the processes standardized? What difficulties can appear with standardization? And how the IT-systems affect the result of the process?To answer these questions, we have preformed a case study on Saab. Saab is a well know Swedish company who are working with a project called the GMS-project, where they develop processes to cover the whole company´s business areas.The literature gives the reader an understanding of processes and standardization.

The aim of this thesis is to describe and analyze the geographical distribution of everyday criminality in the town of Borlänge during the year 2002 and to analyze which measures to be taken in the physical social planning to decrease this everyday criminality there. The term everyday criminality is here to be understood as those categories of crime that appear most frequently in the records of reports to the police every year. Here two kinds of crime have been in focus, thefts from cars and office burglary.In fulfilling this aim two main questions have been answered. The first one is how the everyday criminality was distributed geographically in the town of Borlänge during the year 2002. The second one is which measures to be taken in the physical social planning to decrease this everyday criminality in the town of Borlänge.In order to answer the first question a spatial autocorrelation analysis, Local Moran LISA has been used.
Co-?branding i modevärlden -? En studie i hur co-?branding påverkar ett modeföretags brand equity
Syfte - Studien syftar till att undersöka hur ett modeföretags icke-finansiella(konsumentbaserade) brand equity påverkas av co-branding. Studien undersöker hur ettsamarbete mellan två modeföretag, så kallat intrabranschsamarbete, påverkar huvudvarumärketsicke-finansiella brand equity.Metod - Studien utgår från Aakers modell för att mäta brand equity. Metoden för studien harvarit att använda fokusgrupper för att undersöka konsumentattityder till co-branding. I studienanvändes ett verklighetsbaserat modesamarbete som diskussionsunderlag för fokusgrupperna,där ett fallföretag och dess samarbete med en annan modeaktör valdes ut. Totalt 12 styckenstudenter från Textilhögskolan i Borås deltog i studien, fördelat över två fokusgrupper.Fynd - Studien visar att ett modevarumärkes brand equity kan stärkas och påverkas positivt medhjälp av co-branding.Begränsningar - Uppsatsen är begränsad till ett samarbete genomfört av två textilföretag vilketgör resultaten främst applicerbara på samarbeten inom modebranschen.

Uppsatsen är en jämförande studie av interaktiv och linjär dokumentär. Vad är det bästa med att vara lärare? Vad finns det för problematik i dagens skolpolitik? Detta är några av de frågor som tas upp i dokumentärerna. Syftet med projektet är att söka svar på hur upplevelsen av lärarnas situation skiljer sig om interaktiv dokumentär ställs mot linjär dokumentär. Verklighetsåtergivning blir ett centralt begrepp, hur kan jag som filmare återge och förmedla någons verklighet? För att förstå nya mediers möjligheter blickar uppsatsen både framåt och bakåt på den utveckling som lett fram till dagens tekniska framsteg.
Generationsskräpsamling med explicit kontroll av hårdvarucache
This report evaluates whether an interpreted high-level garbage collected language has enough information about its memory behaviour to make better cache decisions than modern general CPU hardware.With a generational garbage collector, depending on promotion algorithm and generation size, around 90% of all objects never leave the first generation. This report is based on the hypothesis that, because of the low promotion rate, accesses to higher generations are sufficiently rare not to benefit from caching.To test this hypothesis, we built an operating system with a Scheme interpreter in kernel mode, where the interpreter controls the cache. Generic x86 PC hardware was used, since it allows fine-grained control of cache decisions.Measurements of execution time in this interpreter show that disabling the cache for generations higher than the first does not give any performance gain, but rather a performance loss of up to 50%.We conclude that this interpreter design is not an improvement, but cannot conclude that the hypothesis is false in general. We suggest building a better CPU simulator to gather more data from which to make better caching decisions, moving internal interpreter data structures into the garbage collected heap and modifying the hardware to allow control in the currently rigid dimension of where data is cached---for example separate control of instruction and data caches and separate data caches for different areas of memory..
Tvåspråkiga barn i förskolan : Pedagogens arbete i dagens mångkulturella Sverige
Today?s Sweden becomes more and more multicultural, with a mixture of many different languages. Many children are raised to learn two or more parent languages. If you work as an educationalist in preschool you will probably come in contact with these children. The question is how you should treat them and ease their development of languages.The purpose with this work is to find answers to the question if bilingual children develop their languages by the same method as monolingual and how one as an educationalist can make these children?s development of language easier.The papers preface is a part of literature that describes different researchers view on the bilingual children?s development of language and how one, as an educationalist, can ease it.To my study I have chosen to interview three educationalists in preschool who all work with bilingual children.
Den stressade småbarnsföräldern : en utvärdering av marknadsföringskampanjen "Småbarnsföräldern" på ett folkbibliotek
This bachelor thesis is a study and an evaluation of the planning and implementation of the targeted marketing campaign "Småbarnsföräldern" at a public library. The analysis is based on the following questions:? What goals does the library have with the marketing campaign "Småbarnsföräldern"?? How has the library chosen to plan and implement the marketing campaign "Småbarnsföräldern" and what role have the users had in this process?? What is the internal result of the library?s marketing campaign ? how did the staff experience the marketing campaign "Småbarnsföräldern"?? What is the external result ? how did the target group, the parents of young children, experience the marketing campaign "Småbarnsföräldern"?The method is based on a case study of a single library with a series of interviews and document analysis. The study reveals that it´s difficult to plan a marketing campaign against a target group. The target group, the parents of young children, didn?t observe the marketing campaign, two informants had noticed the poster but didn?t pay much attention to it.
Konkurrerande "frames": Förhandlingarna om EU:s tjänstedirektiv
This paper concerns the question of how one can frame a political message. I investigate how a political frame is bound both to the line of argumentation connected with a certain discourse and to the audience closely related to that discourse.I have chosen to study a single case where the policy process was characterized by a framing contest. The case shows how negotiating the new Services Directive is affected by framing efforts made by the parties negotiating.My conclusions are that the question of a Services Directive lent itself to a definition in terms of "either/or"-arguments. Thus the Directive could be considered either a threat or a possibility. It was the very nature of the matter - the development of the internal market on services - that made possible a debate along the lines of a "left/right"-struggle and where a frame that drew from the European Social Model offered the better explanation thereby succeding in defining the new Directive as a threat.

The aim of this masters thesis was to study how the members of a small non-profit organisation perceived the web forum, compared to the other information channels of the organisation. The organisation was defined as a virtual community. A literature review was conducted. The theory construction was based on the sensemaking theory. Interview questions were constructed based on the literature review and the sensemaking theory.
Kvinnors erfarenhet av Auroraverksamhet. : En kvalitativ innehållsanalys.
The aim of the present study was to gain a deeper understanding of the experiences of the contact with the ?fear of childbirth?-team (called Aurora-team) made by women who feared childbirth. Qualitative content analyses according to Graneheim and Lundman was used to analyse 91 womens own written notes made at the end of a questionnaire which (with a quantitative approach) evaluated the counseling made by the Aurora-team at a hospital in the south of Sweden. The following five categories developed during the analyses; experience of the conversation, not knowing creates fear, thoughts regarding mode of delivery, the importance of how the birth plan is managed and the personnel´s standpoint regarding fear of childbirth. These categories can be seen as parts of the themes of experiences which made the fear of childbirth easier or which made it worse.

Background: Pressure ulcer is a complication that arises often due to a lowered general condition. Pressure ulcer arise because of long term compressive load application. That?s why it?s of utmost importance as a nurse to work in preventive ways, as the pressure ulcer lead to physical, psychological and social consequences for the patient. Purpose: The purpose was to describe the patients experiences of living with pressure ulcer.
Risker vid svensk företagsverksamhet i Estland
All companies face risk in their daily business. Internationalised companies tend to experience higher risk due to for example unfamiliar business environment than companies that act only on the national market. Estonia became independent as late as in 1991 and is therefore a new interesting market for many companies in neighbouring countries like Sweden. Risks that are most apparent for an internationalised company are political risk, currency risk, capital and interest rate risk, business risk and credit risk. Our intention of this study was to find out how Swedish companies acting on the Estonian market faced the different risks when entering the Estonian market and how they value the risks today.
Att konsumera kvinnlighet : representation och identifikation i damernas värld
Uppsatsen behandlar ur ett genusperspektiv konsumtionens delaktighet i individens identitetsskapande, där fokus ligger på att påvisa hur begreppet kvinnlighet till stor del konstitueras utifrån en definition given av konsumtionssamhället. Med Norman Faircloughs kritiska diskursanalys som verktyg görs en tematisk analys av diskurser gällande kvinnors kropp, stilskapande och sexualitet i ett material bestående av konsumtionsrelaterade mode- och skönhetsartiklar som hämtas från fyra svenska kvinnotidningar som riktar sig till skilda åldersgrupper; julia, Silikon, amelia och tara. Här tydliggörs hur man, när man talar om kvinnan i materialet, hela tiden är positionerad inom en konsumtionsdiskurs såväl verbalt som visuellt. Studien syftar även till att sätta detta kommersiella kvinnoideal i relation till diskussioner om genus som lyfts fram av den postmoderna feminismen samt ur ett vidare perspektiv peka på konsekvenser som tidningarnas representationer har på kvinnors vardag, då studien påvisar deras medverkan i reproduktionen av en patriarkal och ojämlik samhällsordning. Avslutningsvis diskuteras konsumtionssamhällets objektiva ställning samt konsumismens betydelse för den moderna kvinnorollen historiskt och nutida sett..
"Det tar livet från mig." : Utvärdering av en korttidsintervention
Relationen till den egna kroppen är för många kvinnor en källa till låg livskvalitet och psykisk ohälsa. Föreliggande studie syftade till att inom ramen för en korttidsintervention undersöka effekter av acceptansbaserad exponering på kroppsoro, utseendeinvestering samt nedstämdhet vid negativ kroppsupplevelse hos kvinnor. Deltagarnas beskrivningar av sina problem samt reflektioner kring interventionen uppmärksammades även. Fem deltagare genomgick interventionen. En anpassad ?single case?-design användes och data analyserades genom Rn-metoden.
