During the work at Gateway Security AB in Motala I began examining available antenna models to get a wider perspective, this have given knowledge of their structure, and an understanding of their function. All my necessary fact is based on my observations and notes of these measurings. New antenna models, and available models were examined where measurements at different heights and different distances on the antenna were performed with the help of an oscilloscope and a measure probe, peak ? to - peak was brought on the signal. The measurements are presented in a line diagram.

 Denna uppsats belyser problematik som personal inom vård och omsorg upplever till följd av kravfyllda arbetsmiljöer. Den tidigare forskningen belyser arbetsrelaterad stress med utgångspunkt i vårdpersonalens bristande kontroll, stora engagemang och viktiga roll som förebilder. Utifrån detta perspektiv fokuserar uppsatsen på betydelsen av krav, kontroll, socialt stöd samt relationen mellan prestation och belöning i relation till upplevelsen av arbetsrelaterad stress. Den enkätundersökning som genomfördes i ett privat vårdföretag (n=11) visar att det finns ett samband mellan arbetsrelaterad stress och upplevelsen av kontroll respektive socialt stöd. Resultatens tillförlitlighet diskuteras i termer av genomförandet av enkätundersökningen och nyttan med densamma utifrån den låga svarsfrekvensen.

The aim of my study is to investigate if and in that case how the writing process and texts written by students in the upper secondary school are affected by the writing tool; does it matter if they write their texts on a computer or by longhand? Another objective is to compare such an effect with the findings of previous studies performed on earlier generations of writers. The first part of my study was a survey. It showed that two thirds of the 67 students participating thought that they would have written better texts in the national writing test if they had been able to use computers. In the second part of the study each of the fourteen participants wrote one text on computer and another by hand.

Emotional intelligence (EQ) has been claimed to be the most critical factor in determining a person's success in life, both personal and professional. EQ highly affects academic and job performance, leadership, stress, and well-being but is still not widely accounted for in recruitment processes. During the last 20 years a large number of researchers have shown interest in the concept of emotional intelligence, but few have studied its practical implications and how EQ-tests are used as a selection tool in recruitment processes. To create an understanding of the motivation for using the test, as well as its role in recruitment decisions, qualitative interviews have been conducted with recruiters at companies in Stockholm, Sweden. All interviewed companies use the self-assessment test EQ:i 2.0.

Psykosocial ohälsa är en av de största orsakerna till sjukfrånvaro bland tjänstemän. Få studier syftar till att undersöka förebyggande aktiviteter för stress på organisationsnivå. Europeiska arbetsmiljöbyrån, EU-OSHA, erbjuder råd för att på företag förebygga stress. Syftet med detta examensarbete var att beskriva hur tjänstemän upplevde EU-OSHA:s råd för organisatoriska stressförebyggande insatser. Undersökningen sökte svar på om råden upplevdes genomförbara, om det fanns hinder som försvårade genomförandet och vilka förutsättningar som krävdes.

My goal in this study was to research how teachers with education in pedagogical drama think about drama and how to use it as an educational tool. The method I used to acquire the results was by interviews. In total I interviewed six different teachers which had some kind of education in pedagogical drama. This study revealed that all the teachers in some way used educational drama in preschool. The purpose with educational drama is to improve the children's fantasy, creativity, empathy, self-awareness and also their ability to co-operate with other children.

Hur handskas vi med den arbetsrelaterade stressen och finns det faktorer som kan minska den? I denna studie undersöks upplevelsen av stress och socialt stöd i forskarmiljö. Undersökningens deltagare består av 45 forskare i Lund och Malmö som besvarat en enkät. Enkäten lämnades ut våren 2003 och 2005. Syftet var att undersöka om fritidsintresse och socialt stöd kan minska stressen som kan uppkomma i samband med arbetet.

The main purpose of the thesis was to investigate if mothers of girls with Asperger syndrome/high-functioning autism experienced the same stressors regardless of society and culture or in which way the stressors might differ.A special purpose of the thesis was to investigate if the society by different types of support could relieve stress and eliminate or reduce stressors.The method of the thesis was to interview three mothers in Sweden and three in Spain, who all had a daughter, 10 - 15 years old, with Asperger syndrome or high-functioning autism.The result shows that mothers in both countries experienced equal level of stress, though the Swedish mothers got more support from the society. However, the stressors differed. For the Spanish mothers the main stressor was the girls´ problems at school. The main stressor for the Swedish mothers was how to find time to fulfil their different roles, e.g. mother, wife, housewife, professional, friend.

Upplevelsen av stress ökar i vårt samhälle idag. Man upplever ökade krav, mindrekontroll och en brist på stöd, enligt Karasek & Theorells krav/kontroll/stöd-modell.Sjuksköterskor upplever stress av en rad olika anledningar och det finns det en stor riskatt vården står utan kompetent personal i framtiden om inte chefer och medarbetaretillsammans kan skapa en acceptabel arbetsmiljö. Syftet med vår studie var attundersöka hur vårdenhetschefer stöder enhetens sjuksköterskor vid upplevd stress föratt uppnå en tillfredsställande arbetsmiljö. Vi har gjort fyra halvstrukturerade intervjuermed erfarna vårdenhetschefer. Kvalitativ innehållsanalys användes för att analyseramaterialet.

All träning innebär en fysisk påverkan på kroppen och kan anses vara en form av stress, vilket hästar som tränas utsätts dagligen för. Svaret som fås vid stress är till för att mobilisera resurser inför kommande situationer, det sker fysiologiskt bland annat genom det sympatiska nervsystemet som ökar sin aktivitet. Frisättningen av katekolaminer och kortisol ökar.Träning påverkar fysiologiska stressparametrar hos hästar. Den här litteraturstudien tittar på hur kortisol, ACTH, katekolaminer (adrenalin och noradrenalin) och ?-endorfiner har setts variera under träning.

Syfte och frågeställningar: Syftet med denna uppsats var att kartlägga sömnvanor hos kontorsarbetande, samt att undersöka vilka omständigheter som kan ligga bakom att individer sover som de gör. Vi vill tydliggöra att sömn har en stor effekt på hur vi mår och visa på vilka bakomliggande faktorer som kan förändras för att förbättra en dålig sömn.Metod: Vi har valt att använda oss av en kvantitativ metod bestående av en enkätundersökning. För den teoretiska bakgrunden har en litteratursökning genomförts och studerats. Enkäten är baserad på Karolinska Sleep Questionnaire (KSQ), där vi lagt till ett antal egna frågor. Frågorna speglar frågeställningarna för arbetet och tillhör tre olika kategorier; orsaker till sömnvanor, vanor runt sömn och övriga frågor.

Volvo Cars in Skövde manufacture and assemble Volvo engines. When attaching the ignition coil to all 4-cylinder engines, a special mounting tool is required. This mounting tool is currently manufactured from injection-molded polyoxymethylene (POM), a thermoplastic. It has been noted that the life span of the tool is shortened as a result of abrasive wear that occurs during the attachment process of the ignition coil.An investigation of the possibility of manufacturing the mounting tool with a 3D-printer is undertaken in cooperation with ÅF, a consultant to Volvo Cars. A literature study is first presented to introduce broader knowledge on the subject.

This study raises the question how the implementation of the balanced scorecard in the municipality of Gotland has been influenced by the way of communication. A case study is made in the administration of Social-and care management on Gotland. We have been focusing on two different ways of communication. The first one is Shannon and Weavers model where communication is explained as a transmission of a message through a channel to a receiver. The other one is sensemaking where it is focal to give the information meaning.

When building a house or similar the stress on the ground increases and deformations can arise. The deformations create a foundation that the building is not constructed for and damages on the building arise. The increased stress on the ground can be derived back to the building, but it is possible that the increased stress may well derive from different sources such as other buildings or trees.       The building is an older property, built in the late 19th century alternatively early 20th century, and is today used for rental housing and has suffered severe damages due to subsidence. The goal of the thesis is to find possible causes for these subsidences. The thesis was executed as a combination between literature- and casestudie. After careful studies it has been found that a probable cause for these subsidences is trees. Through field- and lab studies it has been found that the trees has effected the ground through there accumulation of water.

It has in a broader extent become important for companies and other organizations with large organizations to have a properly functioning web platform where content management is an essential part. Polopoly is a web content management system developed in Sweden, used by several European corporations but foremost Scandinavian such working in different media related business areas.Our aim has been to analyze this tool and render a report which hopefully will assist the initiator of our thesis; a consulting enterprise called Qurius, in their negotiations with future customers, when to suggest Polopoly as a suitable content management solution.By using case studies at companies currently using Polopoly, our goal is to define which characteristic makes the product a competitive publishing tool. To put our analysis in perspective, we will compare the most important aspects of Polopoly with a similar product.According to the results of our investigation we consider Polopoly being a beneficial choice with regard to a number of important parameters. Finally we have summarized these properties in a list of examples explaining in which cases Polopoly is a preferable alternative as a web based content management platform..
