This thesis in Art History and Visual Science is about values to graffiti and graffiti artist Banksy. I have studied values relating to Banksy´s graffiti images through which context they are placed in and where they are located. I have selected two different images of Banksy as an example on the basis of a transnational phenomenon, where the images that circulate in the public arena by street art and other images and imported into the galleries and consumption market. My conclusion is that the values of the images are based on the context in which each room have its surroundings and that therefore the impression will increase. The public space context, Signal availability and the white cube context indicates art, and the commercial context Signals goods and items that can be bought.

This Masters thesis work describes a comparison between two different methods for estimation of the down channel (base station to mobile subscriber) in Wide-band Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA). The first estimation method, Optimal Feed-forward Channel Estimation (OFCE), is a conventional method that bases the estimates on data that is known to both sender and receiver, so called pilots. The second method, Decision Directed Channel Estimation (DDCE), is an elaboration of OFCE. It also uses user data for estimation. Simulations show that DDCE, in comparison to OFCE, does not attain an improvement in Signal-to-noise-ratio (SNR) for high bit error rates (BER).

Detta examensarbete har utförts på Örebro universitet och Västerdalarnas Mekaniska Industri AB (VMI) i Malung för Ehrlund Microphones.Ehrlund Microphones tillverkar mikrofoner med sin patenterade kapsel, som bland annat består utav ett triangulärt membran.Under examensarbetets tid var en ny mikrofonmodell under utveckling. Målet med examensarbetet var att bistå Ehrlund Microphones med utförandet av tester och mätningar, samt att komma med förslag till förbättringar på den nya konstruktionen.På VMI i Malung, där kapslarna tillverkas, finns ett mätlabb som är till för att mäta kapslarnas frekvenssvar. Mätutrustningen i detta labb har installerats och konfigurerats för den mätmetod som har tagits fram för att verifiera kapslarnas frekvensgång.Slutsatsen av undersökningen huruvida skyddsgallret påverkar mikrofonens frekvensgång, är att den volym luft som ryms innanför skyddsgallret har större betydelse för frekvensgången än vad den geometriska utformningen av gallret har.Med stor sannolikhet kommer den nya transistorbaserade mikrofonmodellen att ha ett bättre Signal/brus-förhållande än vad som visas i detta arbete, eftersom testerna har utförts på en prototyp i utvecklingsskedet..

The pig is unique in the way that it gives birth to a large number of newborns in each litter. Because of this the sow has developed a special behaviour during suckling to ensure that not only a part of the litter gets all the milk. Milk is only available during milk letdown. The piglets have to massage the udder for a long time before letdown and the more piglets at the udder the sooner the milk comes. The sow has developed a special grunting pattern to let the piglets know when she is ready for suckling and to Signal milk letdown. Our aim with this study was to investigate if sows have individual grunting patterns repeated over time. We also wanted to know if sows with a more distinct grunting pattern have better growth in their litters.

The project Design analysis and proposals of plastic screw caps in Australia was performed at Högskolan Dalarna incooperation with University of Western Sydney, Australia. The Swedish company Tetra Pak, in Lund, were assigner forthe project that was performed 2006-2007. The commission was to do a survey about the packages for non-carbonateddrinks in Australia. The bottles had to be plastic, able to open in one step and with focus on the caps.The project has result in design analysis and a new proposal of a plastic screw cap for the Australian market. Sixbottles were choosen and they were all testet on 20 consumers each with a Likert-scale test.

During the work at Gateway Security AB in Motala I began examining available antenna models to get a wider perspective, this have given knowledge of their structure, and an understanding of their function. All my necessary fact is based on my observations and notes of these measurings. New antenna models, and available models were examined where measurements at different heights and different distances on the antenna were performed with the help of an oscilloscope and a measure probe, peak ? to - peak was brought on the Signal. The measurements are presented in a line diagram.

This thesis investigates techniques for stealth hydroacoustic communication using spread spectrum. The Swedish naval defense organisations have a vision that all their units should be able to communicate with each other, even between underwater vehicles. But the properties of water makes it a complex channel to use for wireless communications. Radiomagnetic waves have very limited range in water, therefore acoustic waves are used. In this report the basics of wireless communication systems are described including source coding, channel coding, modulation techniques as well as different techniques for spread spectrum.

Det svenska elnätet är konstruerat för att transportera elenergi med frekvensen på 50 Hz mellan en generator och en last. När olika typer av modern elektronik ansluts till elnätet så bidrar dessa till högfrekventa Signaler som adderas till 50 Hz komponenten som brus. Detta brus är ett problem för elnätsbolagen som tar emot elkvalitérelaterade klagomål. Ett ytterligare problem är den låga impedans som skapas på elnätet när laster med låg impedans kopplas in. Detta gör det svårt att kommunicera över elnätet på ett effektivt sätt.

By defining the customer value and establish visualized standards, it is possible to see when situations differ from the standard. Then it?s possible to lead the process back on track.

Anledningarna till att använda sig av en trådlös Signalöverföring i en industri kan vara många, oftast handlar det om ställen där det är svårt eller omöjligt att ha en trådad förbindelse. I det här fallet är det en sedimenteringsbassäng där man tar hand om processvatten från industrin. Bassängen är utformad som en cylinder där vattnet rinner genom olika avdelningar för att minska innehållet av sediment. I bassängen cirkulerar en plattform med diverse omrörare och skrapor på. Menstruationscykelns inverkan på kvinnors preferenser för mäns ansiktenSammanfattningDetta är en systematisk replikation av Penton-Voaks och Perrets studie (1999) då en preferens hos kvinnor för maskuliniserade ansiktsdrag under hög befruktningsrisk i menstruationscykeln hittades. Dessa drag tros vara en ärlig Signal för goda gener och immunokompetens hos män. Oklarhet råder huruvida detta gäller för olika populationer. 36 svenska universitetsstuderande kvinnor fick därför välja ut de mest fysiskt attraktiva ansiktena, utifrån maskuliniserade och feminiserade bildserier, vid hög respektive låg befruktningsrisk. Ingen signifikant skillnad hittades mellan de olika faserna.

To measure losses in a transformer with today?s methods is either slow or insecure. There s a new method developed by Alstom that hasn't been actualize in to a test-system and that has been the assignment in this project. The idea is built on a switched system and a CLR- circuit in the resonant frequency. The test-system has a calculated power-loss that make the efficiency to be as high as 99,8% and in reality over 95%.
