Synliggörandet av personalen i årsredovisningen : En studie på organisationer som är certifierade av Investors in People

This essay is about how organizations reveal their employees in the annual report. The purpose of this paper is to examine the extent to which organizations reveals their employees in the annual report, and the purpose has three questions: How do the organizations present their employees in the annual report? What do they choose to report? What motives lies behind?The problem today is that organizations can´t account the employees as assets, they can only be accounted as an expense in the income statement. This can lead to that stakeholders can´t convey an organization's "true" value.With a combination study, we examined how organizations certified by Investors in People presents the employees in their annual reports. In the framework, we have, among other things dealt with personnel mandatory disclosure in the Annual Account Act, the difference between private- and public sectors accounting.

The average life expectancy and the proportion of elderly are increasing globally and inSweden, causing challenges for the society. Physical activity has proven to bring a number ofpositive benefits in older people, making the promotion of physical activity an important partof healthy aging attempts. The degree of physical activity in Sweden?s elderly population isgreater than in previous generations, making this group a positive exception from a widerperspective. A cross sectional study was made in order to investigate which motives tophysical activity that was considered most important among people above 60.

Gymnasieskolans projektarbete och dess effekt på skolkande elever : En studie kring skolkande gymnasieelevers uppfattningar om kursen ?Projektarbete 100 p?

In this study I have brought up what pupils within vocational training, with focus on upper-secondary school have apprehended about the course ?Projektarbete 100 p? (Project job 100 point). In my analysis I interviewed twelve pupils from upper-secondary school who had 20 % or more truancy during their three years of studying in upper-secondary school and achieved a result to these pupils had problems with absenteeism then primary school. The pupils agreed about the school?s existence but they need schools of practical type.

According to the Employment Protection Act, the permanent employment is the main condition of employment in Sweden. Nevertheless, nowadays a large number of employers choose to apply other conditions of employment than the permanent employment in their businesses. The rapid technical development and the demands for shorter perspective investment in companies on the Swedish labour market have started the requirement for a more flexible workforce. On-call employment is one of the conditions of employment that is increasing the most. This condition of employment is adjusted by the parties on the labour market.

The union organization rate has continuously diminished since the mid 90's. The aim of this essay is to investigate non-members approach to the union. Central questions are what personal experiences the respondents have of the union and how they view the union as a phenomenon. According to previous research the main cause of the great decline in membership to LO are the increased membership fees to the union and the unemployment insurance funds (UIF) in 2007. The increased fee led to a greater accumulated cost for those who were both union- and UIF -members, which had a negative effect on the membership numbers for the union.

Skolfrånvaro hos värmländska elever. : Samband med familjestruktur, sociala relationer och delaktighet

Bakgrund: Skolfrånvaro är ett komplext område och som kan betraktas som ett folkhälsoproblem då det är en riskfaktor för framtida utanförskap. En ofullständig skolgång försvårar ett aktivt deltagande i arbets- och samhällsliv vilket ökar risken för framtida ohälsa. Riskfaktorer för hög skolfrånvaro finns på individ-, familj-, skol- och samhällsnivå. Dessa riskfaktorer interagerar med varandra och har en kumulativ effekt. Goda relationer inom och mellan dessa nivåer beskrivs som skyddsfaktorer för hög skolfrånvaro.Syfte: Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka hypotesen om att det fanns en skillnad mellan gruppen med skolfrånvaro och gruppen utan skolfrånvaro avseende familjestruktur, sociala relationer och delaktighet hos elever i Värmland.Metod: Metoden var en kvantitativ empirisk studie av elevdata i Elevhälsodatabasen ELSA.

With starting point in the increasing ill-health in Swedish working life today, in form of for example absence due to sickness and early retirement pension, and the knowledge that the working environment effects peoples health in a big extent, I found it very interesting to inquire into how people within the working life experience health promotion and how this can be developed. A qualitative method was used to receive a deeper understanding for the employees? experiences and data was collected through semi structured interviews with employees on a bank called Ikanobanken, in Älmhult. The result shows, among other things, that respondents find responsibility and the opportunity to influence the learning processes and development important. It also became clear that the respondents find participation, motivation, communication and safety essential factors when related to changes in health behaviours.

The aim of this study was to identify possible reasons for non-attendance related to mammographic screening. Using qualitative methods, sex women underwent a semi-structured interview on the following themes: social background, medical history, mammographic screening, invitation, and final decision.Social background was described using the "life-form theory". The concepts of illness, disease, and sickness were used in order to investigate medical conditions and their impact. The process of non-attendance was studied using a model by Zovko, balancing different needs affecting decisions and final action.According to their decision, and final action, women were defined as "participants", "passive non-attenders" or "active non-attenders". Most women belonged to the life-form "paid work" and had children.

Stress-related diseases in Sweden have doubled since 1997. Even longterm sickness related tostress has increased over the last decade. In future there is a need of alternative methods todecrease the amount of people being affected to gain a better population health. Natureassisted therapy (NAT) was shown to be a successful method as part of the therapy of stressand burnout likewise was nature an important factor to prevent people from mentaldisorders. The aim of this study was to analyse the latest research concearning nature and itshealth effects with focus on stress and burnout patients in order to plan health promotingactivities outdoors for these patients.

Ledarskapets betydelse för medarbetarnas hälsa : En kvalitativ studie om hur medarbetarna upplever att ledarskap bidrar till hälsa på arbetsplatsen

Sjukfrånvaron i Sverige ökade kraftigt i slutet av 1990-talet och drabbade även högre utbildade personer som tidigare inte varit sjukskrivna. Många människor tillbringar större delen av livet på att arbeta och arbetsmiljön påverkar medarbetarna på olika sätt, där ledarskapet är en faktor som påverkar hälsan. Arbetsplatsen anses därför vara en av de hälsofrämjande arenor där insatser för att förbättra hälsan kan genomföras. Att ledarskapet påverkar medarbetarnas hälsa anses vara en självklarhet, men det finns inte så mycket forskning inom området.Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur medarbetare på en arbetsplats med låg sjukfrånvaro upplever att ledarskap bidrar till hälsa på arbetsplatsen. Studien är av kvalitativ ansats där data samlades in genom telefonintervjuer med fem personer.

Metabola syndromet kopplat till fysisk aktivitet och konditionsstatus

Abstract  The development and onset of diseases such as cardiovascular disease (CVD) and Type 2 diabetes are closely linked to genetics and lifestyle factors including physical activity and diet. A cluster of metabolic disorders called the metabolic syndrome (MetS) is a high-risk factor in developing these diseases. Acording to the International diabetes institute, one fourth of the worlds adult population has MetS. These individuals are twice as likely to die from CVDs compared to individuals without MetS. Physical activity (PA) and exercise has been shown to provide a number of positive effects that are considered to reduce the risk of developing sickness and premature mortality among both men and women of all ages, independent of other risk factors.

En utvärdering av långtidssjukskrivna kvinnors livskvalitet ? Projektet Fyrklövern

Inledning: Psykisk ohälsa samt värk är de vanligaste orsakerna till att människor upplever sitt hälsotillstånd som nedsatt. Bland kvinnor utgör dessa tillstånd tre fjärdedelar av sjuk- och aktivitetsersättningar. Projektet Fyrklövern startades med syfte att utvärdera en kombinationsmetod av Grön rehabilitering och Supported Employment (SE). Projektledningen önskade även en utvärdering av deltagarnas livskvalitet vilket resulterade i att denna uppsats har genomförts. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att undersöka om kvinnors livskvalitet förbättrades efter intervention Grön rehabilitering och SE.

I samband med uppsatsens syfte ställdes följande forskningsfråga: vilka organisatoriska faktorer bidrar till sjukskrivningarna inom den kommunala äldrevården? MetodDenna studie är både en kvalitativ och kvantitativ studie som antagit en abduktiv ansats. Studien går under undersökningsdesignen fallstudie där det empiriska materialet består av en enkätundersökning samt kvalitativa intervjuer. I enkätundersökningen deltar 56 medarbetare och på intervjuerna deltar nio anställda på sex avdelningar under tre enheter. SlutsatserDen empiriska och teoretiska datainsamlingen resulterade i slutsatsen att den generellt höga sjukfrånvaron inom den kommunala äldrevården har en organisatorisk koppling.

While studying at the landscape architect program in Uppsala I found stress to play a major roll in the education. To help myself and others to handle the negative stress within the profession and the education I choose to write my thesis about landscape architects' work cultures. Swedish Association of Architects is in second place in the SACO study on long-term sickness for fatigue syndrome, stress and depression. The issue needed to be addressed. My purpose with the thesis has been to study the work cultures in the landscape profession and training and to study and find ways to manage negative stress in the profession and in education.
