This work is about Cuban music and my relationship to it. My study contains two different parts. In the first one I try to give a short summary of Cuban music history. The second part is about possibilities and problems that can arise in the meeting with foreign cultures. I have focused on three themes: Music and respect, cultural encounters and travelling, and communication.

Cheetahs in the wild are declining due to hunting, lack of prey, exploitation of habitats and loss of cubs to predators. Those are the main reasons to why cheetahs are kept in captivity today for conservation. Many cheetahs kept in captivity are seen pacing ? a behaviour that arise when the animal is prohibited from performing natural behaviours. It is believed to being attributed to a lack of stimulation in the environment where they are being held.

Föreliggande studie undersöker fysiska aktivitetsvanor och psykisk hälsa hos gymnasieelever i åldrarna 18-19 år. Syftet med studien är att undersöka relationen mellan karaktären och mängden av utövad fysisk aktivitet och självupplevd psykisk hälsa hos urvalsgruppen. Studien är av kvantitativ karaktär och datainsamlingsmetoden som används är en enkätundersökning som bygger på de validerade enkäterna International Physical Activity Questionaire ? Short Form (IPAQ-SF) och The 12-item General Health Questionaire (GHQ-12) samt ett antal, av undersökningsledarna, egenformulerade frågor vilka berör karaktären av den fysiska aktiviteten, biologiskt kön och boendeplats. Insamlad data bearbetas i statistikprogramet Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) och resultatet diskuteras och analyseras utifrån tidigare forskning inom området samt utifrån Bourdieus teori om habitus. Inga signifikanta samband mellan karaktären eller mängden av utförd fysisk aktivitet och psykisk hälsa kan konstateras i urvalsgruppen.

Bakgrund: I Sverige lever cirka 1,1 miljoner individer med en hjärt-kärlsjukdom. Hjärt-kärlsjuka individer skattar sin hälsorelaterade livskvalitet lägre än normalbefolkningen och lågt skattad hälsorelaterad livskvalitet kan medföra fler inläggningar på sjukhus samt en ökad risk att avlida i sin hjärt- kärlsjukdom.Syfte: Syftet med studien var att beskriva hälsorelaterad livskvalitet hos hjärt- kärlsjuka individer och hur kön, ålder, tobaksanvändning, graden av fysisk aktivitet, eller samtida sjukdom påverkar den hälsorelaterade livskvaliteten.Metod: Empirisk, deskriptiv tvärsnittsstudie med kvantitativ ansats. Valt mätinstrument var Short-Form 36 (SF-36), skala 0-100 där ett högre värde motsvarar en högre skattad hälsorelaterad livskvalitet. Databearbetning genomfördes med deskriptiv och analyserande statistik där SF-36 testades mot kön, ålder, tobaksvanor, graden av fysisk aktivitet, eller samtida sjukdom.Resultat: Totalt inkluderades 53 hjärt- kärlsjuka individer, varav 28 var män. Medelåldern i gruppen var 69,5 år (SD 11,9 år).

In this thesis I examine how the phenomenological philosophy of Edmund Husserl and Martin Heidegger differ with regard to the phenomenological reduction, and in particular why there is no reduction in Sein und Zeit. I examine in what way philosophy is seen as an overcoming of the naïvete of a ?natural? attitude and how this natural attitude is understood, starting with Husserl?s descriptions of the phenomenological reduction, of the natural attitude of our daily lives and of his notion of transcendental subjectivity. By presenting these main aspects, I try to elucidate why, in Husserl?s view, laying the foundation of all knowledge must take form of a phenomenological first philosophy.

The thesis deals with three document retrieval models based on logic: the Boolean model,the fuzzy model and the Van Rijsbergen model.In Chapter 1, the author presents the purpose of the thesis. This is to give the logical foundationof the models, to describe them and to examine them critically. In Chapter 2, some importantnotions in document retrieval are presented. Chapter 3 is devoted to the Boolean model, Chapter4 to the fuzzy model and Chapter 5 to the Van Rijsbergen model.These three chapters are organized in the same way. First, the logical foundation of the modelis given.

In cooperate with Asko Cylinda we have developed a new heat system too short the process time and reduce the energy consume in a dishwasher and still have it too be a class AAA. The environment and quality is important for the company too still be the number one on the market, If they want too keep that position the product developed of new innovations will be very important. The systems we have developed are more effective and reduce energy up too 25 %. The process time is reduced too less than two hours, from the today two and half-hour. The solutions are too heat up the rinse water and the dishwater at the same time, with a new heating system and it make are solutions unique and effective. Its good for the dish and the environment.

AimThe aim of this study was to find out whether Motivational Interviewing can affect people to change their behaviour in form of increasing physical activity. What results do studies conducted at healthy adults using Motivational Interviewing with physical activity as an outcome present?MethodTo fulfil the aim of the study we chose a review process. During the research two data-bases were used, PUBMED and CSA. Studies including participants under the age of 18 or studies where the participants suffered from diseases were excluded.

I den här uppsatsen testas huruvida Stockholmsbörsen är predicerbar, i motsats till den icke-predicerbara teorin ? Random Walk theory. Till skillnad från majoriteten av tidigare studier, undersöker jag predicerbarhet för enskilda aktier, och inte bara som ett aggregerat fenomen i form av ett index. Resultatet av studien visar att Stochholmsbörsen som en homogen grupp inte gå att predicera. Däremot, då varje aktie undersökts i isolerad form, uppvisar majoriteten av aktierna ett predicerbarat beteende ? i form av Mean Reversion, alternativt Mean Aversion..

Syftet med följande arbete är att undersöka vilka för- och nackdelar som finns med ett differentierat skolväsende i form av elitskolor eller nivågrupperingar. Undersökningen bygger på intervjuer med sju personer från fyra olika yrkeskategorier. Kategorierna är politiker, företagare, akademiker (i form av universitetsmatematiker) och lärare (i form av en lärare och en lärarstudent). De resonemang som framkommer i intervjuerna analyseras och listas för att ge svar på frågeställningen. De vägs också emot varandra i en slutlig diskussion om vad de sammantaget säger om differentiering..

Detta arbete grundar sig på fyra klasslärares tankar och erfarenhet av att integrera bild och form i undervisningen, hur de ser på bild och form som ämne och vilket pedagogiskt värde de menar att bild och form har för elevernas utveckling och lärande. Vi har intervjuat dessa fyra lärare och genom deras exempel får vi ta del av hur de använder bild och form samt varför de använder det den ämnesteoretiska undervisningen. Vårt syfte med detta arbete är att ta reda på om bild och form som ett praktiskt/estetiskt ämne har ett pedagogiskt värde som redskap för barns utveckling och lärande. Teorier, forskning och LpO94 pekar på att undervisningen måste anpassas efter elevernas behov och förutsättningar så den ska bli mångsidig och stimulerande för dem. Forskning har visat att det behövs mer än ett sätt att ta till sig och uttrycka sina kunskaper på eftersom vi människor är olika och inte enbart lär oss genom det skrivna och verbala ordet.

In this thesis we calculate the Hawking mass numerically for surfaces in Kerr spacetime. The Hawking mass is a useful tool for proving the Penrose inequality and the result does not contradict the inequality. It also does not contradict the assumption that the Hawking mass should be monotonic for surfaces in Kerr spacetime. The Hawking mass is quasi-local and defined by the spin coefficents of Newman and Penrose, so first we give a discussion about quasi-local quantities and then a short description of the Newman-Penrose formalism..

The report includes a timetable which the grouphas worked along and also methods used. In the development process you will beable to read about how the students in an interdisciplinary way have used themethods and come up with an entirely new product.

This diploma work was conducted in collaboration with the Swedish civil engineeringconstruction company Skanska Construction in Stockholm. Their interest is todevelop a number of type approved form constructions which can be used during theconstruction of concrete walls. Skanska focuses on improving safety on their projectsand both supervisors and workers have a need for approved form constructions inthe current situation.The study is focused on safety and the purpose is to facilitate the preparation beforethe form work can begin. By studying the literature of the subject and conductinterviews with employees at Skanska Construction, the understanding of the issueand knowledge will be increased.Literature studies, interviews together with production and design have been thebasis for a successful study. The work has resulted in three types of approved formconstructions to Skanska Construction and the drawings can be used of employees atthe company.

Insomnia is getting more prevalent with age, both because of natural changes in the sleep pattern and because of increased morbidity. It can cause dysfunctioning and sedation during the day. Therefore it is often treated with hypnotics. It is possible though that hypnotics can cause daytime sleepiness as well, not to mention increased risk of falling and fractures because of sedation and prolonged reaction time. Benzodiazepines and benzodiazepine related drugs, the subjects of this study, are commonly used as hypnotics.
