This paper is a study of documentary film production with focus on the filmmakers choice and usage of sound equipment. Using professional articles and literature have first of all helped us determine a standard for the conventional use of sound equipment in documentary film. Afterwards, by analyzing our own interviews we?ve received answers on how filmmakers relate to the conventional usage and why they select equipment as they do. Thereafter, we describe a technical method which helps a filmmaker to be able to record sound for documentary film on his/her own, using simple measures without reducing quality.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att analysera Grebzdes novellsamling Bergen enligt Michail Bachtins kronotopteori. Jag baserar min kronotopmodell, som uppstår i Bergen, enligt de modeller som utvecklats av litteraturvetaren Juris Roz?tis. Romanerna, vilka undersöks av Roz?tis behandlar tiden efter andra världskriget i flyktingläger och hur flyktingarna upplever de första åren utanför sitt gamla hemland Lettland samt hur de bosätter sig i det nya landet.

Syftet med vår undersökning var att studera om processinriktat skrivarbete kan förändra elevers lust, motivation och förmåga att arbeta med text. Vi genomförde våra studier i en årskurs 9 och en årskurs 4-6 i två olika skolor med sammanlagt 33 försökspersoner. Textuppgiften för eleverna handlade i huvudsak om att skriva brev till två andra nordiska länder, Finland och Island. Eleverna fick i början och i slutat av projektet svara på en enkät. Under projekttiden skrev eleverna loggbok, som ibland innehöll specifika frågor om det som just då behandlades.

This study aims to build a deeper understanding on how shareholder value is created in Private Equity investments, especially during the holding period. The study is a qualitative study of the buyout of the access security company Bewator AB made by the Swedish Private Equity firm EQT in 2002. Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva arbetsterapeuters erfarenheter av att arbeta i ett team med rehabilitering av vuxna med en förvärvad hjärnskada. Sex arbetsterapeuter verksamma på rehabiliteringskliniker i Västerbotten och i Norrbotten intervjuades. Det insamlade materialet analyserades utifrån en kvalitativ innehållsanalys och resulterade i tre kategorier: ?Strukturens betydelse för en effektiv rehabiliteringsprocess?, ?Samarbete ger rehabiliteringen ett mervärde? och ?Arbetsterapeutens roll med aktivitet i fokus?. Resultatet visade på behovet av ett strukturerat arbetssätt i teamet där en gemensam ledare är betydelsefull för att driva rehabiliteringsprocessen.

This thesis is a queer masculinity reading of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle?s short story collection The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes (1894). The analysis focuses on the dissonances, tensions and queerness that reside within the text itself. This has been done from my problem statement: How is Sherlock Holmes and John Watson?s sexuality and masculinity portrayed within the boundary of the text? What is being said, what is hidden, and what is dealt with silently? To reveal these queer parts this analysis has been focused around five themes: the late Victorian male, the Woman, countertypes and decadence, the homosocial sphere and sexuality.

This work is about Cuban music and my relationship to it. My study contains two different parts. In the first one I try to give a short summary of Cuban music history. The second part is about possibilities and problems that can arise in the meeting with foreign cultures. I have focused on three themes: Music and respect, cultural encounters and travelling, and communication.

Fetma ger olika följdsjukdomar såsom hypertoni, diabetes och stroke som står hälso- och sjukvården dyrt, men fetma påverkar individen mycket mer än så. Då det inte finns någon annan lösning kan överviktskirurgi bli aktuellt. Syfte: Syftet med litteraturöversikten är att belysa vad som påverkar upplevelsen av hälsa, välbefinnande och livskvalitet hos personer med fetma, före och efter behandling med överviktskirurgi.

The thesis deals with three document retrieval models based on logic: the Boolean model,the fuzzy model and the Van Rijsbergen model.In Chapter 1, the author presents the purpose of the thesis. This is to give the logical foundationof the models, to describe them and to examine them critically. In Chapter 2, some importantnotions in document retrieval are presented. Chapter 3 is devoted to the Boolean model, Chapter4 to the fuzzy model and Chapter 5 to the Van Rijsbergen model.These three chapters are organized in the same way. Today, maintenance is a big part of the daily life on board ships. It is also one of the bigger expenses a shipping company has and without any loss of quality tries to run as economically advantageous as possible. In the hunt for economical savings the shore-based industry has subsequently applied the use of condition based maintenance, CBM, were a component is maintained according to its actual state. This leads to a reduction of maintenance costs since no parts are unnecessarily replaced. However, within the maritime sector a periodical maintenance is still the most commonly used maintenance system.The purpose of this paper is to chart the factors that are the reason for the low implementation of CBM on board the Swedish merchant fleet's ships.

I denna studie undersöktes hur barn uppmärksammas till strokedrabbade föräldrar samt vilket stöd som erbjuds. Fem överläkare och fem sjuksköterskor på en neurologisk rehabiliteringsklinik i Mellansverige intervjuades.

Semantic feature analysis (SFA) is a treatment technique used foraphasic word finding difficulties after stroke. The method has earlier beenevaluated with positive outcome regarding words that have been trainedduring intervention while more varied results have been presented regardinguntrained words. The aim of this study was therefore to evaluate the effectsof the method on naming in untrained nouns and verbs, in both confrontationnaming and in discourse. The present study is the first to evaluate SFA withSwedish-speaking persons. A single-subject design was used.
