SHARED SPACE : Att få rum i staden

En utbyggnad av shared space har skett och sker runt om i Sverige, Europa och övriga världen. Utbyggnaden har föranlett en debatt kring ämnet som handlar om stadens funktion och om människors tillgång till staden utifrån sina villkor. Det finns ett kunskapsbehov i kommunal planering när det gäller utformning och val av plats för shared space, vilket är en av anledningarna till examensarbetet. Syftet är att formulera och pröva en arbetsmodell som kan vara vägledande i arbetet med etablering av shared space, där fokus ligger på prioriteringar mellan användare och begreppen: stadens karaktär, tillgänglighet, trygghet, trafiksäkerhet och miljö. Dessa utgör kvalitetsbegreppen i planerarhandboken; Trafik för en attraktiv stad.

Beslutsrädda svenskar och handlingskraftiga finnar : ? En undersökning av utmaningar och möjligheter för en gemensam organisationskultur

Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka de möjligheter och utmaningar som finns för ett sammanslaget finsksvenskt HR1-center på TeliaSonera. Utgångspunkten för uppsatsen var slutsatserna Anners och Thureson (2008) påvisade i kandidatuppsatsen Tystlåtna finnar och pladdrande svenskar ? en teoretisk analys av utmaningar för en gemensam organisationskultur. Kandidatuppsatsens slutsats har operationaliserats för att konstruera intervjufrågor och för att analysera det empiriska materialet. Intervjuer har genomförts med fyra personer från HR-center Finland och fyra från HR-center Sverige.

Customer Perceived Service Quality

The purpose of this study is to develop a general understanding of the areas of alliances and service quality as well as their relation to each other, through a consumer perception. Further, to discover more detailed and close up knowledge of customer perceived service quality within airline alliances. This is done by identifying particularly significant dimensions in the service process that have an influence on the perceived service quality.The thesis is based on qualitative study using a critical incident technique to explore the issue of service quality. In the research of the material the iterative approach has been used. The primary information sources are the interviews with customers-members of airline alliance.

Garden center and market gardens are a growing trade, undergoing great changes with new actors and purchasing habits. The interest in gardens and plants is steadily increasing, official statistics show an increase of garden plants and flower consumption, of an annual 3 per cent. Garden centers and market gardens are in great need of development to be able to tackle the prevailing competition, and maintain a steady growth. Many companies are heading for a generation shift and are founding it difficult to find and employ younger managers. The aim of this report is to examine different strategies of garden centers and market gardens through the manager/ owner?s views and opinions about competition, growth and success.

Ett nytt stadsbibliotek i Stockholm: En diskursanalys bakom visionen för ett nytt folkbibliotek

The purpose of this Master?s thesis is to examine and analyze the discourse concerning a new public library in Stockholm. The paper further discusses how this discourse corresponds with what is written about public libraries in a number of national and international documents. To do this I have utilized the discourse theory of Laclau and Mouffe. By using some of their instruments I have established the discourse around a number of keywords.

En jämförande studie av några fritidslärares och klasslärares syn på formellt och informellt lärande

The aim of this thesis was to investigate how teachers in school and in leisure time center look at informal and formal learning. Informal learning is often associated with leisure-time while formal learning is generally linked to school. My questions also deal with the teachers? view of each other?s activities from a learning perspective and visibility of informal learning. I have made an empirical study with qualitative, semi-structured interviews with three class teachers and three leisure teachers.

Blood-borne infectious diseases such as Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV)and Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) spread when the addicts share needles and injecting equipmentwithin contact networks. A quantitative cross-sectional study was conducted in Winnipeg,Canada in December 2003 - September 2004. Through a special questionnaire, respondentswere asked to answer questions about themselves and about their contacts, about relationshipsand how they shared syringes and other injection supplies. Blood tests were used to identifywhether they carried any blood-borne infectious diseases. We selected some variables from theoriginal data set.

Färdtjänst ur brukarnas synvinkel. Perspektiv på beroende, oberoende och tillit

This study concerns paratransit service in a relatively small municipality in Sweden. The aim of this study is to describe the user's experience of paratransit service. The question formulation is mainly built around the user's experience of paratransit service and their view on what impact paratransit service has on their lives. The empirical data consists of ten interviews with ten different paratransit service users with ages ranging from 25-95 years. The data has mainly been analyzed through concepts of independence, empowerment and trust. The result of this study shows that paratransit service in many ways can be described as a crucial part of the users' lives.

Attraktiva gaturum för gångtrafikanter

Efter bilens ökande dominans i gaturummet går trenden idag åt att ge andra trafikslag mer plats, där ibland gångtrafikanter. Olika strategier finns för att skapa gaturum på de gåendes villkor, ett växande koncept i Europa är shared space.Detta arbete sker i syfte att analysera planering för gångtrafikanter i gaturummet. Två fallstudier har genomförts, en på Skvallertorget i Norrköping och en på Götgatsbacken i Stockholm. Arbetet undersöker hur planeringen skett i de två fallen, om åtgärderna höjt attraktiviteten och säkerheten på platserna och även hur gångtrafikanterna där upplever det.För de båda fallstudierna har planerare intervjuats och kortfrågeintervjuer har skett med gångtrafikanter på respektive plats. Dessutom har egna observationer gjorts.Skvallertorget, en torgliknande korsning i Norrköping, är ett av Sveriges mest kända exempel på shared space.Götgatsbacken, en populär gågata i Stockholm har flera funktioner både som shoppingstråk och cykelstråk för cykelpendlare.

Delad yta, dubbel yta? : En studie om Dragarbrunnsgatan i Uppsala utifrån konceptet shared space

I linje med tidigare forskning bör adoptivföräldrar bli mer öppna för att adoptera ett barn med funktionsnedsättning eftersom det är färre och färre friska barn som blir aktuella för adoption (Glidden, 2000, s.397; SOU 2003:49, s.144-145). Studiens syfte var att öka kunskapen om hur nöjda adoptivföräldrar är med samhällets stöd före, under och efter genomförd adoption av ett barn med funktionsnedsättning. Studiens frågeställning var om adoptivföräldrar till barn med funktionsnedsättning anser att de har fått tillräckligt med stöd från samhället före, under och efter genomförd adoption. För att besvara frågeställningen användes en kvantitativ metod, vilket bestod av en enkätundersökning som var riktad till 31 adoptivföräldrar. Efter inkomna svar gjordes analys av empirin och en resultatredovisning där vi använde teorierna om anknytning och empowerment.

Helandet av Stockholms sår : En analys av projektet Västra City

Over the years, what people have considered as the center of Stockholm City has gone from the medieval Stortorget in Old Town to the contemporary Sergels Torg. But more recently it has become unclear how the area really works. It is difficult to say where the actual central part of Stockholm lies, because while the Central Station is where the majority of people arrive into town, it is not necessarily close to Sergelstorg (considered the center of town) or other attractive commercial areas. There's also another issue with where the center of Stockholm is located. The railways and roads running along Klarabergs Viaduct acts as a divide between the areas of Kungsholmen and Norrmalm; these rails, roads and water separate the two areas from each other. In response to this problem of area division, a plan is being made to construct a new district near the center to mend the gap between the districts. The idea is that the center of Stockholm city will become more lively and attractive. The plan includes building new housing, commercial areas and a larger terrace called Mälarterrassen. In addition, improved mobility within the area is being planned by having better public transportation lines like City banan and tram named Spårväg City construction, as well as more pedestrian areas shall make the area become a district to thrive in.How the area will actually operate in the future is still unclear and many questions still exist about how the area will be able to compete and, above all, integrate with the other districts. The parts considered to be most important for the area is the scale of residential property and an attractive area that keeps people in the area and to encourages them to pass through the area. Perhaps the best solution would be to have something special planned in this area that can attract people in the community ? a city park, for example?.

We further intend to examine the party?s leadership; whether or not it is equal, between the three spokespersons.We find it interesting as a topic from a democratic point of view as well as to see if a flat structure could work in practice.
