Because of an increasing demand from customers and changing external environment, there is a need for continuous improvements, for both manufacturing and service organizations, to meet these demands. Manufacturing organizations have been working systematically with quality improvements for a long time, but it has not been as common for service organizations. Because of that the methods to use for implementation of the systematic improvements have not been designed to fit service organizations, and not either for public organizations. The purpose of this thesis is to explain if and why the Swedish Road Administration?s organizational culture and handling of ideas and deviation support an implementation of continuous improvement management.

In the research field of the cultivation theory focus has shifted from TV in general to studying specific genres instead. It is proposed that there are similarities in otherwise different shows and that these shows give it´s voyeurs a solution to their problems. The purpose however of this study is to investigate how the myth about the good life is posed in Tv3´s supply. The theories used in this study are closely linked by their meaning. Narrative talks about the fact that texts, video in this case, contain stories. Ideology is the set of visions and beliefs one person has on the world and myth makes social, historic and cultural decided power orders in to facts.

After the orange revolution in Ukraine, hope was given to achieve fullydemocracy in the whole society. However, this has not been the outcome; theUkrainian public administration still has problems to deliver what the societydemands. By answering the question: ?Which problems have the publicadministration to become democratic and how can we explain them??, we analyzethe failures within the public administration to accomplish democratic procedures.The empirical material in this thesis is mainly obtained from interviews andresearch during a field study in Ukraine. The problems for the civil servants inUkraine to act as guardians of the society are strongly connected to an inadequateprofessional knowledge.
Ungerns demokratiska konsolidering. Demokratisering utifrån tre överlappande arenor
Uppsatsen behandlar frågan huruvida dagens Ungern bör kunna betraktas som en konsoliderad demokrati. Frågan utgår ifrån teorin om för att ett lyckat demokratiskt samhälle ska kunna uppnås måste fem dimensioner vara uppfyllda: ett väl fungerande och demokratiskt institutionaliserat civilsamhälle, politiskt samhälle och ekonomiskt samhälle samt en rättstat och statsbyråkrati. Service En fall studie på NetOnNet, Elgiganten och dess kunder : En fallstudie på NetOnNet, Elgiganten och dess kunder
Problembakgrund: Vilka faktorer är viktigast för e-handel respektive butikskunderna vid val av köp av elektronikprodukter? Samt vilka faktorer e-handels och butiksföretag anser är viktigast för att få sina kunder nöjda.Syfte: Att analysera och utvärdera NetOnNet och Elgigantens syn och även deras kunders syn på service mellan e-handel och butik.Metod: En fallstudie har genomförts på företagen. Primär data samlades in genom semistrukturerade intervjuer samt enkätundersökningar.Resultat & Slutsats: Respondenterna i undersökningen är överens om att priset är det viktigaste när de skall köpa hemelektronikprodukter. E-handelskunder är mer priskänsliga och läser på mer om en produkt innan köptillfället, än butikskunder. Butikskunder väljer att fortsätta att handla i butik för att de anser att det är lättillgängligt, bra pris och för att det finns möjlighet till personlig interaktion.Båda NetOnNet och Elgiganten är överens om att det krävs en kombination av lågt pris och bra service för att lyckas på dagens konkurrensutsatta marknad.

Today?s market for companies doing statistical surveys is a market consisting of mostly standardized methods where differentiating your company from the competitors is hard. Simultaneously both the society at large and technology in specific is under constant development and everything needs to be done at a faster pace with better precision. One of the companies on the market mentioned above is Tradewell Group AB. During 2008/2009 Tradewell has developed a new method for doing statistical surveys. The method named by Tradewell is called Cellphone Survey System, CSS and include using existing technology in a, for this market, unknown way.
Service i förändring : hur serviceförändringen upplevs av dem som påverkas av den
Målet med denna uppsats i landsbygdsutveckling är att undersöka hur landsbygdsbor upplevt den serviceförändring som ägt rum under deras livstid, hur det påverkat servicens tillgänglighet och hur de förhåller sig till servicen. Uppsatsen baseras på kvalitativa intervjuer med sju personer ifrån Ramsberg, i Bergslagen och som huvudsakligen analyseras utifrån Habermas teori om det kommunikativa handlandet. Studien visar att upplevelsen av förändringarna är kopplad till om förändringarna upplevs ske utifrån ett kommunikativt handlande eller kommer som en tvingande kraft utifrån abstrakta idéer. Den visar även att upplevelsen av servicen påverkas av vilka möjligheter till social interaktion den medför där det kommunikativa handlandet kan ske..
Hårdare tag mot brottsligheten? : Tre etablerade politiska partiers syn på kriminalitet och kriminalpolitik
This study analyzes the political view of criminality and crime politics in three political parties in the Swedish parliament, Socialdemokraterna, Folkpartiet and Moderaterna. The study seeks to describe which kind of view these parties present on the criminality in our society. The material for this study is the ideologies that the parties descend from which are, socialism, liberalism and conservatism, the political programs of these three parties have also been studied as well as the parties proposals, political documents in the Swedish parliament. The current public debate shows that the crime politics is an attractive question and the parties may seem to have similar proposals on how to lower the criminality in our society. The theory that has been used to describe the results of the study is ?actors and structures? and the results are related to this theory as well as the theory has been used as an instrument to explain and sort the material and the results.The results of the study show that the parties are different in their views on criminality as a problem in our society.

The aim of this study was to examine the occurence of norms in court cases regarding the Swedish law of support and service for disabled (Lag 1993:387 om stöd och service till vissa funktionshindrade) with the help of a discourse analysis method. More specifically its aim was to examine and identify norms in the different dictums/statements that were to be found in the court cases regarding the supportive institution "contact person" according to the Swedish law "LSS" with the help of a norm science approach. The aim was also to examine when the applicant was found to be entitled to a contact person according to the LSS-law. To be able to do this, the author studied thirty-four different court cases. In these cases six themes were found, that indicated the occurence of norms.

Interiörens påverkan på tjänstekvalitet inom tjänsteföretag: en fallstudie på caféer i Skellefteå
The purpose of this thesis was to examine café owners perception of customers expectations and what they think the interior means to the service quality. It also aims to examine how café owners use the interior to create service quality. In order to examine this, a case study was conducted based on interviews with two café owners. The study showed that the café owners take the customers expectations into consideration. It showed that they think the expectations were affected by which purpose the customer had with their visit.

The aim of this Master?s thesis is to examine if the realistic youth novels of today can provide support and inspiration for its readers with the purpose of dealing with own difficulties. I have examined four Swedish novels from 2006 and studied in what way and from whom the young fictive women get advice and support. In the background section of the essay I have made studies of how it is to be a young woman in modern society. It also covers a historical perspective of the modern youth novel and presents studies based upon reading and reader-response theory of young people.

?Din katalog ? tjänster från Konsult och Service? presenterar de tjänster som förvaltningen Konsult och Service inom Västerås Stad (läs kommun) erbjuder. Katalogen är två år gammal och mitt examensarbete har gått ut på att uppdatera och omarbeta katalogen efter de förhållanden som råder nu.Jag har analyserat katalogen, såväl text- som bildmässigt. Katalogens sändare, chefer inom Konsult och Service, har i intervjuer givit sina synpunkter på befintlig katalog. De har även bidragit med underlag till nya texter.

design in public places. Despite the fact that we have never been as safe,
questions of safety get more attention than ever in today?s society. Public
demands for safer and more secure environments and low levels of experienced
feelings of safety indicate problems in society that can shrink
people's usage of public places as well as their quality of life.
Through methodical exaggeration of danger and legislation of laws, the
state creates a situation that in different respect work to overprotect the
citizens, who are not unlikely to experience feelings of being unsafe at
the same time that the actual safety is to big. An expansion of protection
against fear can unlike what was first intended decrease the experience of
safety.
