Att implementra integration En diskussion kring integrationsbegrepp och integrationspolitik med frontlinjebyråkrater som utgångspunkt
The aim of this study is to discuss the implementation of Swedish integration policy from the perspective that public officials, so called front-line bureaucrats, are the real creators of this policy. The concept of integration is far from unambigous; it can have different meanings depending on the theoretical perspective applied. This give topical interest to the question of how the concept is conceived on the national level versus the implementation level. I also aim to uncover how these front-line bureaucrats look upon their role as creators of integration policy. My material consists mainly of interviews with front-line bureauctrats.
Äldre personers attityd till styrketräning: utformning och reliabilitetstestning av en provenkät
Syftet med denna studie var att utforma och reliabilitetspröva enkätfrågor om äldre personers attityd till styrketräning. En enkät bestående av 47 frågor och påståenden delades ut till 31 äldre (60-81 år) personer som fick besvara enkäten vid två separata tillfällen. Varje enskild fråga analyserades för test-retestreliabilitet på tre olika sätt: 1/ Intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) 2/ Absolut reliabilitet med 80% respektive 95% konfidensnivå samt 3/ Proportion of agreement (PA) med PA% och PA ±1%. Enligt gränsvärden som sattes för acceptabel reliabilitet hade 16 frågor ett värde på ICC <0,50, 11 frågor ett pa(%) <60%, 16 frågor ett värde <80% på pa ±1%, nio frågor en absolut reliabilitet av =>2,0 vid 95% säkerhet och 12 frågor en absolut reliabilitet =>1,5 vid 80% säkerhet. Dessutom visade analysen av absolut reliabilitet att det för 2/3 av frågorna krävs två skalsteg för att påvisa en skillnad vid 95% säkerhet.
Psykodynamiskterapi med unga vuxna : Psykoterapeuters perspektiv
Abstract The aim of this paper is to highlight experiences gained by psychotherapists in their work with young adults. Aspects looked at include: recurring themes, the process of diagnosing young adults, the therapeutic alliance, and the therapeutic techniques. Six experienced psychodynamic therapists were interviewed, and a semi-structured interview method was used. The results show a high level of agreement between the therapists as to their experiences and conclusions of psychotherapy with young adults.Results presented in this paper suggest that there is a difference between psychodynamic therapy used with young adults, and the more traditional psychodynamic therapy. The most important difference turned out to be the approach of the therapist toward the patient, where a more active and distinct approach by the therapist to the here-and-now situation was to be preferred. All six therapists came out strongly against the use of the DSM manual when diagnosing young adults. The importance of understanding young adults and their difficulties from a psychological development point of view was stressed, as well as the importance of taking the approach that the years of young adulthood bring their own issues and concerns. It is clear from these interviews that there is a strong need for the establishment of institutions or centres specifically tailored to meet the needs of young adults for psychotherapeutic treatment at an early stage and in an adequate way, in order to avoid unnecessary ?pathologising? of their specific problems. .

This thesis deals with the theories of ecological and environmental justice and applies them onto Swedish politics. Confronting the divide in the literature between anthropocentric and ecocentric perspectives, its aim is to seek points of agreement within this important field of environmental politics. In the theoretical discussion, definitions are made of the concepts sustainability, justice and responsibility. These definitions try to link ecological and environmental justice arguments with a focus on the global level.The object of analysis is the former Swedish governments? bill ?Common responsibility: Swedish politics for global development? which was accepted in 2003.

Att förebygga hot och våld mot socialsekreterare
The aim of the study was to examine if and how the social service and the social welfare secretary provides against threat and violence in the encounter with clients. The study is qualitative and carried out with six semi-structured interviews with social welfare secretaries and participation observations at the social welfare offices in three municipalities. The theoretical starting points used were symbolic interactionism and strange loops. The result shows that social service and social welfare secretaries both use measures to prevent threat and violence to occur. The precautionary measures mainly used by social services are ; looked doors, alarm device, loose objects removes and interview rooms are furnish in purpose for the social welfare secretary to flee the room at urgent need.
Social Construction of Crisis: The Constructed Realities of SAS Ground Service Employees Regarding the Preparatory Period of Strategy 2011 Organizational Development Program.
The thesis explores an ongoing dialectical process between different levels of employees including top management to workers of Scandinavian Airline Service (SAS) regarding a new change program and to find out the possible social construction among them. In particular, it searches for the constructed reality of SAS ground service employees at Malmö Airport with regard to the preparatory stage of SAS Strategy 2011. A possible ambiguity in dialectical process is explored as it relates to an organization?s ability to effectively influence the understanding and identity of its employees through discourse.
Med Lean i bagaget - En studie om Leans förmåga att öka produktiviteten av en bagagehanteringsprocess
Although Lean has received an increased amount of attention in the service context, research still has not established how successfully Lean manages to increase service productivity; since service productivity consists of both efficiency and quality. Research regarding productivity discusses the risk of a tradeoff between efficiency and quality in service production processes. Therefore, this thesis aims to explore if the tradeoff in a production setting with low variability in demand and low customer participation exists, after Lean has been implemented. With a qualitative approach, a case study has been conducted at Scandinavian Airlines Ground Handling to evaluate the effects of Lean in the baggage handling process. The result of the study shows that the tradeoff has not been overcome; efficiency has increased at the expense of quality.
Analysis of CD4+ and CD8+ T-lymphocytes : A comparison between EPICS XL and Celldyn Sapphire
Flowcytometric technology has been widely used for measurement of the absolute numbers of T-lymphocytes subsets in Human Immunodeficiency virus (HIV), defining the disease state, monitoring antiviral treatment, and identifying any risk for opportunistic infections. A manual preparing of the samples is required. More recently an automated and enclosed blood cell counting, Celldyn Sapphire has been introduced. In this study the performance of the Flow cytometer EPICS XL as a reference method for analysis of CD3+, CD4+ and CD8 T-lymphocytes was evaluated with blood from 40 individual?s samples.

This thesis examines if the level of deterioration of cognitive function is associated with different biochemical and clinical markers for degenerative brain diseases. In addition, this thesis examines if the level of decline in cognitive functions vary between groups with different levels of degenerative brain disease.

Nedläggning av service i levande landsbygder : En studie om servicen och dess föreställningar, utveckling och möjligheter
Syftet med uppsatsen har varit att undersöka hur de statliga föreställningarna om en fungerande service ser ut och sätta dem i relation till den faktiska utvecklingen på landsbygden, och även att undersöka alternativa lösningar till hur servicen på landsbygden kan bedrivas. Studien har fokuserat på svenska landsbygder generellt och för att söka svar på syftet har statliga myndigheters rapporter och dokument granskats där insikt har erhållits om hur servicen, något normativt bör vara. Genom metoder som kvalitativ textanalys av dessa rapporter, teoretiska ingångspunkter om landsbygdens nya ruralitet och tillgänglighet samt intervjuer med olika aktörer, dels om nytänkande servicelösningar och dels om landsbygdens servicesituation, sätts politik och praktik mot varandra. Det har visat sig att den politiska föreställningen om hur servicen bör vara ej till fullo överensstämmer med verkligheten. För att planera för en fungerande service på landsbygden krävs ett nytänkande med lösningar som beaktar dagens samhälle och det lokala, flexibilitet och innovationsrikedom..
SANNINGENS ÖGONBLICK En komparativ undersökning av ett stadsbiblioteks och en byggvaruhandels arbete med att möta sina besökare
The purpose of this thesis is to discuss how a Swedish public library approaches their costumers. I will show how a library interacts with their costumers compared to a business, which has a different economic work frame, a building materials supplier. My aim is to pinpoint differences and explore new methods for the library in order to improve their service.The theoretical frame of the thesis is based on Richard Norman's notion the Moment of truth. The moment of truth is the moment when a business has to convince their customer that they offer both the product, proficiency and service that the customer needs. Service encounters at two organizations have been observed and their differences and similarities compared.
Public service och sociala medier : En studie om hur redaktionerna pa? Morgonpasset i P3 och P3morgen anva?nder sociala medier som arbetsverktyg
The purpose of this study is to examine how the editorial staff from the Swedish radio program Morgonpasset i P3 and the Norwegian radio program P3morgen uses Facebook and Twitter and how they can use social media as a tool in the production. The purpose is also to examine how active both of the editorial staff are on Facebook and Twitter and which kind of language they use on Facebook and Twitter. The radio programs both work under a lot of similar conditions and are both controlled by public service in both countries. To conduct the study qualitative interviews was performed with the web editor Christoffer Malm from Morgonpasset i P3 and the radio presenter Silje Nordnes from P3morgen in combination with a quantitative content analysis. The study was conducted over a limited period of the autumn of 2013.
