ABSTRACT This essay is about traffic analysis of Web Servers. The purpose is to investigate if companies analyse the traffic on the Web Server and if they use this information to create more than simple statistic reports. The questions that we will answer are the following: ? How common is traffic analysis on the Web Server among companies? ? Is the Web administrator limited in analysing the Web traffic, if the company has the website on a Web hotel? ? Does the company uses the results they get from analysing the traffic on the Web Server for updates and changes on the Web page? To answer these questions we made a questionnaire investigation by telephone interviewing the companies? webmasters. The extent of the investigation was 20 companies in Blekinge.

The mainpart of this thesis is about the developing of a new analysis tool to be used in Zenicor Medical Systems AB ECG-system. The primary task of the system is to simplify the ECG survey for patients who suffers from different kinds of arrythmias, for example heart fibrillation. With this system is it possible for the patients to do their ECG survey by them self at home and then send the signal with their telephone or mobilphone to a Server. The equipment used to do the survey is not bigger than you can have it in a pocket and this results in a bigger flexibility for the patient. A doctor can connect to the Server and analys the ECG-curve and follow up the patients condition..

This master?s thesis was performed at PartnerTech AB in Åtvidaberg. It addresses the problem of managing test results obtained from testing electronics manufactured by PartnerTech. PartnerTech has developed a test system, called Tor, which performs tests on manufactured boards and stores the test results in files. The Tor system consists of both hardware and software part, where the software runs on an ordinary PC with MS DOS/Windows 2000.

Construction of an autonomous wind station was a project with the goal of creating a product that could collect wind data from a sensor and then transfer this data to a Server wirelessly over the GSM network. The device would be powered by batteries and solar cells and function fully without requiring external power supply. This required that a small computer was constructed and programmed to store and send data at predetermined cycle times and programming of a Server that received the sent data. The project also required optimization of power consumption and dimensioning of solar cells and batteries based on this. The construction of this station demanded research both for the selection of hardware and programming software. The computer was based on a microcontroller and a GSM module that sent the data over the 2G network.

With the advent of powerful multimedia capable mobile phones, the market for mobile services is flourishing. Zenterio AB's Halfpipe Active Desktop is a complete distributed mobile service platform a with a powerful Server and platform-independent client. The communication between the client and Server takes place over a GPRS-capable mobile network. The purpose of this thesis is to develop a secure communications protocol for use between the Halfpipe Active Desktop client and Server. This is done by determining requirements, analyzing candidate protocols and then by designing the final protocol.

Vi lever i ett informationssamhälle. Idag hittar vi fakta om vad som helst, var vi än är, genom de gigantiska och otroliga resurser som nås via ICT idag. Med ökad teknisk kapacitet har informationsinsamlingen ökat drastiskt i mängd. Hur vi lagrar data är dock mindre diskuterat. Det nya skifte som kommit fram i datalagring är en flytt från lokalt förvaltade servrar till lagring i molnet.

Syftet med detta examensarbete är att med avseende på Snow Softwares databas försöka att effektivisera samt omstrukturera de procedurer som hanterar deras regelverk. Den är ej inriktad på att utvärdera eller förändra de algoritmer som redan finns i Microsoft SQL Server.Ett flertal olika prototyper framställdes och utvärderades. Dessa var ej specifika för just denna databas och kan därför vara intressanta även i andra sammanhang. Den prototyp som visade sig vara mest effektiv implementerades så att den enkelt skulle kunna tas i bruk i det nuvarande systemet. Prototypen gav en ungefärlig förbättring i söktid på 18,8 %.

I det här arbetet har jag undersökt möjligheten att synkronisera lagrad kalenderdata mellan två olika system.Mitt arbete beskriver ett API, som i ena änden kommunicerar med Xcerion Baxide-Web Services, och i den andra änden med en mobil enhet med implementerat stöd för Exchange ActiveSync (t.ex. en iPhone eller Android).Med hjälp av Exchange ActiveSync-protokollet kan man synkronisera bland annat kalender, kontakter, e-post, anteckningar och påminnelser mellan flera klienter genom en Exchange Server. Dock hamnade all implementation utöver kalendersynkronisationen av Exchange ActiveSync redan från början utanför examensarbetets ramar.Microsoft tillhandahåller en mycket detaljerad dokumentation över Exchange ActiveSyncprotokollet. Dessutom, bland annat med hjälp av Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 och programmetWireShark kunde trafiken från en redan fungerande implementation av protokollet avlyssnas.Kommunikationen mellan en klient och en Exchange Server kan antingen ske över HTTP eller HTTPS där data transporteras kodat i WBXML. Av säkerhetsskäl är det dock rekommenderat att en Exchange Server inte tillåter trafik över HTTP.Innan själva implementationen analyserades protokollets struktur samt vilka nödvändiga metoder som behövdes för kalendersynkronisationen.
